Kyle kept traveling to the east. During his travels, he snagged some Comprehension Fruits here and there, collecting a bunch of them. These Comprehension Fruits could not only be used to gain a temporary Affinity. They could also be used as a dense source of Energy. It was just that using Comprehension Fruits as an Energy Source was a huge waste. It was like smelting down gold to make disposable toothpicks.

However, the Comprehension Fruits might also come in handy when Kyle tried to comprehend the Laws of the other Elements. Comprehending the Level Four and Level Five Laws of the other Elements was part of his plan anyway, and these Comprehension Fruits would make it easier.

At some point, Kyle saw more Transcending Demons. By now, there were barely any Mortal Demons left.

That was also when Kyle decided to take a bit of a risk. After all, they needed to gather more information. For now, none of the really powerful Demons had paid attention to Kyle, but the further east he traveled, the more powerful the Demons became. Eventually, there would be a Demon that would try to contact Kyle.

It was better to understand how the Demons worked before that happened.

When Kyle saw a Transcending Demon traveling towards the west, he used a concept transmission. The concept transmission contained a mix of confusion and dominance. In essence, Kyle wanted to know what the Demon was doing here.

The Demon sent a concept transmission as an answer, and Kyle readied himself. Accepting concept transmissions was dangerous since they might influence his way of thinking.

The concept Kyle received was a mix of fear, urgency, and conviction. The Demon knew that it was in danger, but even if Kyle attacked it, it would not stop doing what it was doing. It NEEDED to do this, and nothing would stop it from doing what it was going to do later.

What was it setting out to do?

Kyle focused and took a deep breath inside the Demon Car. He didn't send an answer and just watched as the Demon went past him.

'Luckily, I've already fully refined my mind,' Kyle thought. "The power of its conviction was surprisingly high, even though it's only a Transcending Demon. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a rational self and just do everything your instincts tell you to do. Your heart and mind are one, and every action becomes filled with determination, purpose, and conviction.'

'It's not a danger yet, but I've also only talked to a Transcending Demon. If I talk to a Crusher or Sage Demon, it would be much harder to retain rationality.'

The concept transmissions didn't only contain concepts but also the associated emotions. If an angry person transmitted the source of their anger to someone else, and if that other person accepted, they would feel the full weight of the anger. If their minds were equally strong, the second person would feel the same intensity of anger. If there were an imbalance, the second person would feel either a bit of anger or so much anger that they might never recover.

That was another reason why accepting concept transmissions was dangerous.

'At least, I've learned something. A deep instinct is telling them to birth their offspring in the west. I mean, I've already expected as much, but this confirms it.'

Eventually, Kyle found a Transcending Demon that was about to consume a Comprehension Fruit, and he took the chance to send another concept transmission. He wanted to know what this weak Demon was trying to do in his territory.

Kyle really wanted to know why these Demons ate the Comprehension Fruits. It seemingly made no sense. First of all, this Demon did not seem weaker than the average Demons in the surroundings. In fact, it seemed pretty strong. Since consuming a Comprehension Fruit basically equated to committing suicide, the Demon's conduct seemingly made no sense. After all, it was doing well for itself.

Another interesting thing was that the Demon had a Lightning Affinity, and the Comprehension Fruit it was going to consume was for the Element of Lightning. There was no reason to consume it. It already had a Lightning Affinity.

The Demon looked at the Demon Car before sending a concept transmission.

Kyle had expected a couple of emotions and concepts, but he hadn't expected these. The concept in the concept transmission could be described with two words.

Arrogance and ascensionism.

The source of arrogance didn't come from its power but from its familiarity and mastery over its chosen Element. It was just a Transcending Demon, but its Elemental attacks were comparable to those launched by early Primal Demons. Its mastery of its Element was unparalleled.

At the same time, Kyle also received its concept of ascensionism. It knew that it was destined for something greater. It was so good at controlling the Elements that its physical body became its weakest aspect. Its body was restraining it from achieving its full potential, and it wanted to elevate its existence.

In its mind, this fruit was filled with danger, but even more, it was filled with opportunity. It was the light of future and infinite power. It would leave this mortal world behind and become one with lightning. However, it also wasn't stupid. It refused to be controlled by the lightning. Instead, it would retain its core existence while commanding lightning like it was one of its many arms.

In essence, everything could be summarized in one sentence.

"I'm the chosen one!"

Kyle had to take a deep breath. The intensity of the arrogance and fanaticism was great. He felt himself being pulled into the Demon's fanaticism, but he resisted the pull. Even though the concept transmission was intense, Kyle's mind was still several levels higher.

Kyle didn't send an answer. Instead, he watched as the Demon consumed the Comprehension Fruit. Afterward, he saw how the Demon lay down on a fitting Law Well.

Its mind calmed down, and the lighting gathered around it before flowing into its body.

And then, something changed.

Its body turned into lightning, but its Beast Core was resisting. The lightning and the Beast Core fought, but instead of both growing weaker, they grew stronger. More lightning was attracted, while the Beast Core used the lightning to fuel its own lightning.

A battle of supremacy occurred as two different kinds of lightning fought each other.

Eventually, a Lightning Elemental formed, but compared to a normal Lightning Elemental, this one had a Beast Core inside of it. The two kinds of lightning kept fighting, but as more time passed, something changed again.

The lightning inside the Beast Core assumed the color of the surrounding lightning. It was clear that the Demon had lost the battle of supremacy. Yet, the way in which it had lost changed the result drastically.

Kyle had seen a couple of Demons consuming Comprehension Fruits and turning into Elementals before. Every time, the body and the Beast Core were turned into pure Elemental Energy, creating a normal Elemental.

But this time, the Beast Core did not vanish. Its foundation had been powerful enough to resist the destructive onslaught. Because of that, the Beast Core survived, but since the Demon had also lost the battle of dominance, the Beast Core changed owners.

Instead of a normal Elemental, something else had been created.

An Elemental with a Beast Core.

Sadly, Kyle couldn't analyze the effects of this change since the new Elemental immediately vanished into the Elemental Dimension.
