Chapter 445: Chapter 444: The Arrivals Of Big Shots (part 3)
What else could possibly arrive that would surprise them?
Then the sunlight disappeared.
A gigantic shadow slowly covered the entire city.
The cultivators on the streets looked upward.
Their expressions gradually changed.
"What..."
Someone’s voice trembled.
Above the distant horizon, the clouds were being violently pushed apart.
A massive floating warship slowly emerged from the heavens.
At first, everyone thought they were seeing another warship similar to the one belonging to the Kingdom of Valoria.
But as the vessel continued approaching, their expressions became increasingly stiff.
It was enormous.
Far too enormous.
The floating warship was nearly two thousand meters long, roughly twice the size of the Royal War Ark and vastly larger than the Draven Clan’s vessel. Its gigantic black hull covered an area so vast that it resembled a floating fortress rather than a simple warship.
Towering structures rose from its deck like the walls of a city.
Countless enormous formations covered its surface, each one glowing with a faint crimson light.
Massive cannons were positioned along both sides of the vessel, each one large enough to make the siege weapons of the Kingdom of Valoria look like toys.
Several enormous platforms extended from its rear, while hundreds of smaller flying vessels were docked beneath its main body.
The sheer scale of it was enough to make the entire city fall silent.
Even the three great powers became tense.
King Veyron’s expression changed first.
His eyes narrowed as he stared at the enormous warship descending from the sky.
"What is that?"
Edran’s expression became solemn.
He stared at the approaching vessel for several seconds before quietly answering.
"I don’t know."
That answer alone was enough to make King Veyron’s expression darken.
Behind them, Sect Master Jian Wuchen also raised his head.
The calm expression that had remained on his face since arriving in Silvercrest City slowly disappeared.
Elder Yun tightened her grip around her wooden staff.
Her gaze became exceptionally serious.
"This isn’t a vessel belonging to any force in this region."
Jian Wuchen didn’t answer immediately.
He was staring at the enormous ship.
The formations.
The weapons.
The sheer size.
Everything about it was unfamiliar.
Then his eyes suddenly narrowed.
"Not only is it not from this region..."
His voice became considerably lower.
"I’ve never seen a design like this anywhere on the continent."
The Draven Clan’s Patriarch, Caelum, also stared at the warship.
His previously relaxed posture had completely disappeared.
Morgath stood beside him, his hand slowly tightening around his black staff.
"Patriarch..."
"I know."
Caelum’s expression was grim.
"There is something wrong."
The enormous warship continued descending.
It didn’t conceal its presence.
It didn’t attempt to hide its aura.
Instead, it deliberately allowed its overwhelming presence to spread throughout the entire city.
Boom!
A heavy pressure descended.
The clouds surrounding the vessel scattered.
The wind stopped.
Even the spiritual energy in the atmosphere seemed to become stagnant.
Many cultivators instinctively took several steps backward.
Some weaker ones nearly collapsed to their knees.
The three Tier 7 guardians simultaneously released their own aura to resist the pressure.
That alone made the situation even more terrifying.
Three Low-Level Tier 7 experts had appeared in one city.
Yet the moment this unknown warship arrived...
All three of them became cautious.
King Veyron looked toward Jian Wuchen and Caelum.
Neither man needed to speak.
They understood the same thing.
Then a gigantic banner slowly unfurled from the highest tower of the floating fortress.
There was no recognizable kingdom emblem.
Instead, the banner displayed a strange symbol belonging to the monster kingdom that had recently conquered Alnera.
Its shadow completely covered several districts.
The city lord’s mansion disappeared beneath it.
Even the enormous Royal War Ark looked small in comparison.
Marcus, who had been watching everything from below, felt his throat become dry.
"My lord..."
One of his subordinates whispered.
"Should we activate the city’s defensive formations?"
Marcus stared at the enormous vessel above them.
His face twitched.
"Against that?"
He swallowed.
"Don’t."
There was no point.
If that vessel truly intended to attack Silvercrest City, activating the city’s defensive formation would probably accomplish nothing except announcing that they were willing to resist.
The main doors of the enormous floating fortress finally opened.
A long staircase descended from the vessel, stretching all the way toward the ground. For several moments, nothing happened. The silence itself seemed strangely oppressive, as though the entire city was waiting to see who would emerge from that colossal fortress.
Then footsteps echoed.
Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
A group of monster soldiers slowly appeared at the entrance.
There weren’t thousands of them.
There didn’t need to be.
Only several dozen soldiers descended the staircase, each one wearing carefully crafted armor and carrying weapons that were clearly far superior to ordinary equipment.
Their presence was disciplined rather than overwhelming, and unlike the countless soldiers belonging to the Kingdom of Valoria, these monsters didn’t appear to be here to display their military strength.
They were simply an escort.
The three Tier 7 guardians immediately looked toward the entrance.
Edran’s eyes narrowed.
Elder Yun’s expression became solemn.
Morgath’s fingers tightened around his staff.
Then a gigantic figure appeared.
He stepped onto the staircase without hurry, each footstep causing a faint metallic sound to echo through the air.
Morgro.
The Eternal Stone Giant descended from the floating fortress with the same imposing presence he had always possessed. His body was formed from ancient stone, and every movement carried an indescribable sense of weight and stability.
The three leaders stared at the gigantic stone figure descending the staircase.
None of them had seen him before.
Yet the moment Morgro stepped onto the ground, the three Tier 7 guardians felt something deeply unsettling.
Jian Wuchen’s gaze became sharper.
"He’s the one mentioned in the reports."
Elder Yun turned slightly toward him.
"The report?"
Jian Wuchen nodded.
"Several days ago, our intelligence network received information from the former Alnera Kingdom. They mentioned that among the monster forces controlling the territory, there was a powerful stone giant capable of manipulating earth."
Caelum’s expression darkened.
"The Earth Law?"
"Yes."
Morgath’s eyes remained fixed on Morgro.
"Then he’s probably the one."
The three leaders exchanged glances.
They had originally believed the reports describing the monster forces to be somewhat exaggerated.
After all, intelligence gathered from spies was often unreliable. Fear could easily make a monster appear stronger than it actually was.
King Veyron’s expression became increasingly solemn.
"Edran."
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"Can you determine his cultivation?"
Edran remained silent for several seconds.
His spiritual perception carefully swept across Morgro’s enormous body.
Then his expression changed.
"At least Tier 7."
Edran slowly shook his head.
"I can’t determine his exact level."
Those words caused King Veyron’s heart to sink.
A Tier 7 expert couldn’t accurately determine another Tier 7 expert’s strength.
That could only mean one of two things.
Either the stone giant possessed some kind of concealment ability...
Or his strength was simply far greater than Edran’s.
The latter possibility was considerably more frightening.
On the other side, Elder Yun had reached the same conclusion.
Her grip around the wooden staff tightened.
"His body is extraordinary."
Jian Wuchen glanced toward her.
"Can you defeat him?"
Elder Yun didn’t answer immediately.
She carefully observed Morgro.
After a long silence, she finally said,
"If we fought on ordinary terrain, I wouldn’t be confident."
Jian Wuchen’s expression became heavy.
