Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes
Chapter 609 - 394: Pole Star, Void Heaven Law
Chapter 609: Chapter 394: Pole Star, Void Heaven Law
Jelena hurried toward the Mountain and Sea Station. Accompanying her were Teleportation Mage Pei Xue, Flame Mage Li Hua’Er, and Starlight Priestess Yang Qingxiu!
These four were renowned throughout the Strongest Royal Court. Hailed by the public as national Goddesses, they possessed both exalted status and formidable combat power. Usually, they remained aloof, seemingly untouched by mortal concerns. Today, however, they chatted and laughed, as cheerful as carefree young girls. Many onlookers gasped in surprise at the sight.
They were overjoyed because the Great Lord had returned!
"My father has returned. From now on, our Strongest Divine Country has its master!" Jelena said. "His combat power is unparalleled. It was true a century ago, and I believe it remains true today. Those who covet our Strongest Royal Court are going to have a headache now!"
"City Lord, are we going to welcome the Great Lord right now?" Xue asked. She was still the Director of the Secretariat at the Eco-Castle, holding immense status and authority, essentially acting as the grand premier.
"No. My father is as elusive as a divine dragon. Who knows where he is right now? He will come find us on his own. For now, come with me to see his guard detail!"
Jelena had already learned from Xu Huanhuan that the Wildman Kings had stationed themselves at the Mountain and Sea Station. She also heard that one of them had killed a guard of the Soaring Dragon Sword Immortal, Zhang Tingxue, with a single club strike—and Tingxue hadn’t dared to utter a word of complaint. She anticipated that her father’s guards would be incredibly powerful.
"Before the territory ascended, I was still young and lacked combat power," Hua’Er said. "I couldn’t help when foreign enemies invaded. It’s a pity I never saw the Great Lord display his divine might. But I do remember that he was a very kind person who loved Chaos Blind Boxes..."
When Wang Yi first descended upon the Jade River Valley, Hua’Er was just a little girl from Huangni Village. However, she possessed great talent. As a natural Explorer, she could see the Chaos Blind Boxes. Now, she had grown into a powerful Level 333 mage. Serving as the Commander of the Imperial Guard in the Eco-Castle, she was a figure of true authority.
"Yes, the Great Lord was wonderful. I still remember when he shared roast chicken with us. If it weren’t for him, we would have starved to death long ago..." Qingxiu reminisced as she spoke. She felt that the early days when Eggshell Village was first established were infinitely beautiful. Ever since the territory ascended, however, life had become dull and boring. Her class was Starlight Priestess. Stationed at the Star-picking Tower, she was responsible for hosting the star-picking ceremonies. Day after day, year after year, it offered absolutely no joy. She truly missed those bygone days.
The four chatted as they traveled and soon arrived at the Mountain and Sea Station.
However, they weren’t the only ones rushing over upon hearing the news.
A massive fleet of airships had already gathered in front of the station. A dense crowd crammed around the entrance. There was the Demon Gun Knight, Yue Gang, clad in Silver Armor and carrying his Bright Silver Spear. There was the Great Slave Lord, Ji Liangren, wearing his Extraordinary Jersey and leading his soccer team members. There was the Glasses Thug, Siyan, carrying his Hardware Tool Box. There was the Wisdom Golden Body Buddha, Pang Damao, with his gleaming bald head and golden kasaya, who also moonlighted as a small train driver. There was Cao Dalang, a wife-doting fanatic who carried a shoulder pole to sell flatbreads. There was Yun Rou, the veteran handyman of the Xuan Refining Sect and a Void Breaker...
And more were on their way.
They had all received the news of the Great Lord’s return. Unable to locate him, they gathered outside the Mountain and Sea Station just to catch a glimpse of the guard detail he had brought back. Yet, upon seeing the Wildman Kings—savage, hair-covered figures resembling primitive brutes—everyone was stunned.
Most of them couldn’t see the Wildman Kings’ identity or level information. They found these creatures bizarre. Since the Wildman Kings couldn’t speak the human language, to the crowd’s eyes, they were nothing more than howling savages. Then there were the Wild Boar Kings. Filthy and ugly, the average person would never believe they were entities past level 600. As for the Lord of Slaughter Mountain and the Power Demon Lord, the crowd simply treated them as exotic beasts, doubting they possessed much combat power.
"Where has the Great Lord been for the past century? Why did he bring back a bunch of uncivilized savages?!"
"Could he have transmigrated to a Primordial World?"
"I just wanna know what’s up with these wild boars! Are they the savages’ mounts?"
"That tiger and bear don’t look ordinary, though!"
The crowd murmured in spirited discussion, brimming with curiosity. Although they didn’t think this group of primitives was particularly strong, no one dared to show disrespect. After all, they had been brought back by the Great Lord and were the fresh blood of the Divine Country.
"What do you lot know?" In the crowd, the drunken Dog Head Military Advisor, Hu Miaosuan, held a wine gourd. Shaking his head, he slurred, "Those are Wildman Kings and Wild Boar Kings. They’re super powerful entities! You could pick any one of them at random, and they’d mop the floor with the captains of the Guard Court Thirteen Teams!"
"Director, you’re at it again! Watch your mouth, or it’s going to get you in trouble." The Black Tooth Sword Saint, Lu Wuming, shook his head and quickly supported Miaosuan to keep him from falling over.
Nowadays, Wuming was the nominal Deputy Director of the Mountain and Sea Research Institute, but he held the actual power. The Institute was a special agency within the Strongest Divine Country. Independent of the Eco-Castle and the Military Affairs Office, it focused solely on studying geography, ley lines, and karmic luck, with its footprints spanning three major worlds and sixteen satellite moons.
However, the Institute didn’t exactly see eye to eye with the Guard Court Thirteen Teams. The Thirteen Teams was also a special, independently operating agency, completely exempt from the directives of the Eco-Castle and the Military Affairs Office. Every captain in the Thirteen Teams was a peerless expert above level 500. With their high standards, they looked down on the Mountain and Sea Research Institute, viewing them as a bunch of weaklings who only knew how to go sightseeing.
No one knew when the two major organizations started their bitter rivalry. Miaosuan, who lived for alcohol but got drunk off a single drop, often spouted nonsense and had been taught a lesson by the Thirteen Teams on numerous occasions.
At this moment, quite a few members of the Thirteen Teams were present as well. Among them were three captains: the Chaos Piano Demon, Xia Qinglin; Patriarch Miaoshan, Sun Miaoshan; and the Flying Dragon Swordsman, Xie Yuanqiao. They stood not far from Miaosuan and heard his earlier drunken claim. Uncharacteristically, they didn’t retort.
Unlike the rest of the crowd, the three captains wore grave expressions. They could actually see the Wildman Kings’ level information! The savages were indeed savages, but they were Wildman Kings past level 600! The boars were also Wild Boar Kings past level 600!
The most terrifying ones were the eight-legged giant tiger and the horned giant bear. They were level 700 entities! Level 700! Before this, even including their past lives, they had never seen a level 700 being.
"That black Buddha, the Master of the Heart, might be over level 700, but his level can’t be probed," Miaoshan thought to himself. "The only ones whose levels can be confirmed are these exotic beasts... The Great Lord is truly extraordinary to have subdued so many powerhouses."
"Brother Sun, do you think the Great Lord’s level has also surpassed 600?" Qinglin asked softly.
Miaoshan flicked his Duster. "The Great Lord reached level 600 before the ascension. A century has passed. With his elevated state of mind, it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he exceeded level 600!"
