Chapter 627: Chapter 403: Celestial Dragon Roar

Wang Yi thought to himself that the *erhu* was a fine instrument. If he knew how to play it, he could wander around playing melodies while at full health, looking cultured and acting deep. It might even boost his prestige. However, wasting a mysterious opportunity just to learn the *erhu* seemed a bit excessive. Thus, he backed out of the fourth thatched hut.

As he continued his exploration, he encountered all sorts of heroes. There were those teaching street dance, calligraphy, embroidery, chess, blacksmithing, and so on. He found all of them too mediocre to commit to, yet felt a pang of regret walking away. That was until he entered the thirty-fifth hut.

The hero inside this hut was an old man with golden hair and a golden beard. Upon seeing Wang Yi, he laughed heartily. "Boy, do you know who I am?"

Wang Yi froze. This hero wasn’t following the usual script; he didn’t immediately offer to take him in as a disciple. "You are... whoever you want to be?" he replied, shaking his head. His Insight Divine Techniques were completely ineffective in this mysterious space.

The golden-haired old man didn’t get angry. Instead, a wide smile spread across his face. "I am your second uncle! Four hundred years have passed in a flash. I never expected you to have grown so big!"

"To hell with your second uncle. To hell with four hundred years," Wang Yi muttered inwardly. He wondered what kind of bizarre storylines the heroes in this village were following.

"Back in the day," the golden-haired old man continued, "your father—my third brother—was known as the Iron-Headed Lion King. He was unrivaled throughout Guanzhong. With his Lion’s Roar, he suppressed countless heroes until they couldn’t even lift their heads. How spirited and magnificent he was..."

"My old man? The Iron-Headed Lion King? How come I didn’t know that?" Wang Yi mumbled, though he was now certain the hero before him was no ordinary figure.

"Unfortunately, it went to his head. Provoked by a few whispers, he actually went to challenge the Martial Saint Grandmaster! How could he possibly challenge the Grandmaster? And so, he returned in a miserable state. His injuries were beyond cure. Right before he died, he created the miraculous Celestial Dragon Roar. Boy, are you willing to learn this Celestial Dragon Roar?"

This time, Wang Yi nodded. "The Celestial Dragon Roar, right? Fine, I’ll learn it!"

"Good, good, good! Then, on behalf of your father, I shall pass this supreme family inheritance down to you!" As he spoke, the golden-haired old man pulled an ancient, worn book from his robes. "To unleash the Celestial Dragon Roar, you must first open the thirty-three acupoints within your body. These thirty-three acupoints reside within your spine. Each acupoint is its own heaven. Once all thirty-three are opened, the thirty-three heavens will connect, and your spine will transform into a dragon. Only then can you unleash the Celestial Dragon Roar..."

The golden-haired old man spoke with great confidence, rattling off numerous martial principles. Wang Yi only understood half of it anyway. Learning the Celestial Dragon Roar wasn’t like acquiring a system skill that he could master instantly; it required genuine, grueling cultivation. This cultivation involved sitting cross-legged on the ground and roaring all day long to vibrate the spine and force its draconic transformation. Meanwhile, the golden-haired old man had to massage his muscles and channel energy to open his acupoints. Fortunately, Wang Yi’s current body was his true physical form rather than a projection from the ninth dimension, otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to learn this technique at all.

Opening thirty-three acupoints and transforming the spine into a dragon was destined to be a lengthy process. To prevent Wang Yi from giving up halfway, the golden-haired old man shut the door to the thatched hut. Wang Yi tragically discovered that he truly couldn’t leave. He couldn’t open the door, and none of his divine techniques worked. He was trapped in this tiny room, and he wouldn’t be allowed out until he mastered the Celestial Dragon Roar.

"This is a trap at every turn. I’m just learning a skill, but the system made it way too complicated," Wang Yi complained inwardly. Harboring deep resentment but lacking any other options, he could only focus on cultivating the technique.

Ten years passed in a flash.

Wang Yi felt like he was going insane. Ten whole years! He had been trapped in a small room, yelling and roaring alongside a wretched old man. If he had spent these ten years opening blind boxes, his profits would have been astronomically higher! Fortunately, the bitter days finally came to an end. Today, his spine successfully transformed into a dragon, bringing his Celestial Dragon Roar to perfect mastery.

The door to the thatched hut opened on its own.

The golden-haired old man beamed. "Boy, you have finally mastered the Celestial Dragon Roar. If my third brother knows of this in the underworld, he can finally rest in peace with a smile! Hahahaha! Go, go. Now that you have learned the Celestial Dragon Roar, no matter how vast this world is, there is nowhere you cannot conquer."

"Ding! Prompt: Congratulations on acquiring the secret technique, Celestial Dragon Roar. Your spine has transformed into a dragon, naturally forming a divine technique. The first mysterious event has concluded!"

"Ding! Congratulations on acquiring the signature skill of the Lord of the Dragon Roar Divine Kingdom, the Dragon Roar Divine King. The second mysterious event is about to begin..."

"The Lord of the Dragon Roar Divine Kingdom, the Dragon Roar Divine King? Who is that now? There are still sixty-three mysterious worlds left. Please don’t let them all be like this!" Wang Yi muttered. He genuinely didn’t know if spending ten years to learn the Celestial Dragon Roar was worth it. As he saw it, the technique was unique and amounted to a true personal ability, but it wasn’t exceedingly powerful. It essentially just made his shouting voice louder and couldn’t even help him break past level 600.

"Still, at least I learned it!"

Wearing a smile, Wang Yi walked out of the hut, brimming with the joy of a prisoner who had just completed his sentence. The moment he stepped outside, the world completely changed. The mountain village vanished. Greeting his eyes were steep cliffs and thick snow. The temperature plummeted drastically, causing him to shiver uncontrollably.

"Ding! Opening the second mysterious event for you. You have left your hometown and arrived at the Great Snow Mountain. Explore the Great Snow Mountain, and you may find a fortuitous encounter!"

Hearing the system prompt, Wang Yi couldn’t help but sigh.

"Another snow mountain?" He truly regretted using the Mysterious Scroll now. First, he was forced into secluded cultivation to learn the Celestial Dragon Roar, and now he was stuck with another lonely exploration quest. "Whatever. I’ll just treat it as taking in the snowy scenery!"
