Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 954: Perfected Aura Domain

Valerie gave him a look before turning to Zenovia and asking, "Who is he?"

Zenovia no longer longer looked mad, her emotions were perfectly under her control.

With an expressionless face, she said, "I don’t know. He came out of nowhere and saved me."

"Then why were you—" Valerie instinctively asked but mid-sentence, understanding dawned on her.

Sighing again, she began explaining, "You should have an inkling that the enemies of the Beast Emperor Hall are planning an attack to destroy the Hall completely.

We realized that we can’t stay cooped up in the Hall and wait for them to come as it would only put us in more disadvantage. Thus, we planned to launch preemptive attacks with the aim to destroy some of the enemy forces and find out when the decisive attack is going to be."

She paused for a moment before continuing, "Elder BloodFlower led these attacks. You should have heard the news that she had destroyed one of their subsidiary forces a few days ago, right?"

Zenovia didn’t answer and just stared at her impassively.

Valerie didn’t mind and continued, "Just like that, we had planned an attack tonight too, on one of Xuno Family’s estates. We destroyed it and left. However, then we noticed the Xuno Family’s movements and realised they were going to retaliate. Thus, we sent emergency evacuation orders to you while I came to help. Unfortunately, I arrived late and the tragedy had already struck your family."

Valerie didn’t feel good lying but she had no choice but to cover up for Sanya. She was, after all, her junior sister.

Zenovia was silent for a long while. She didn’t know whether Velerie had been completely truthful but at least she now knew the Beast Emperor Hall hadn’t forsaken them.

However, this didn’t make her feel any better. Most of her family has been slaughtered, after all.

’I understand.’ Zenovia nodded, then turned to leave, surprising Velerie, who asked, "Where are you going?"

Zenovia glanced at her, "Don’t know."

"Then why don’t you come with me to the Hall?" Velerie asked.

Zenovia fell silent for a

few moments, then she shook her head, "I’m sorry, but I have to go and find my remaining family members."

Velerie looked at her for a moment and nodded, "Okay, but understand that the Beast Emperor Hall’s door will always be open to you."

"...Thank you." Zenovia nodded and left.

Veleir watched her disappear from her sight before she sighed and turned to the young man.

"Do you belong to any power?" she asked,

"No." the young man nodded.

"What’s your name?" Velerie asked.

The young man hesitated for a bit, clearly reluctant to divulge his identity but seeing she was staring at him impassively, her aura covering him completely, he pursed his lips before saying, "Alex."

"Mm. To reward you for saving her, I’ll make you an Inner Disciple of the Beast Emperor Hall." she told him.

Alex opened his mouth to decline. While he was a rootless mage, he was not planning to join any power in this forsaken land. Even if he had to join one, he would join one of those Sovereign Powers, not a declining emperor one.

Unfortunately for him, before he could say anything, Velerie had taken out a jade talisman.

The moment he saw it, he recognised it as a spatial teleportation talisman and realised she was intent on taking him with her.

His eyes narrowed and his gaze shifted to the disk in his hand.

But then he realised he couldn’t use his Divine Sense under the restrictive power of her aura but felt helpless.

’So be it. I’ll just escape the moment I’m free.’

As he relented in his heart, Velerie activated the jade talisman by breaking it.

Spatial energy covered them and they vanished from the place.

...

Standing high in the sky was the woman who had forced Yagui and other Xuno family members to give up on their plan to destroy the entire Malta City.

She had arrived here earlier than Zenovia and watched everything in silence.

’What an interesting little guy. He must be extraordinary even in the outside world.’ She thought. Then she glanced in the direction Zenovia had left, ’It would be a real pity to let someone like you die.’

Swoosh!

She disappeared from the place and a moment later, she appeared in front of a man, beside whom was floating Zenovia, currently unconscious.

"You must be the famous Monarch Xuno." She lightly said.

Monarch Xuno’s eyes narrowed and he scanned the beautiful but otherwise unremarkable woman.

"Stop, you won’t be able to guess who I am." She calmly said.

Monarch Xuno gave her a deep look then asked, "Would you mind telling me why you have blocked me?"

The woman nodded and pointed at Zenovia, "I want to take her away."

"I’m afraid I can’t allow that." Monarch Xuno shook his head.

"You misunderstand something." The woman said, "I’m telling you, not asking your permission."

"You overestimate yourself—" Monarch Xuno had just opened his mouth, his expression grim when suddenly he felt a shift in his surroundings and heart shook.

’A perfected Aura Domain and the cultivation of a peak Monarch!’ He couldn’t calm himself. He knew he was in deep shit this time.

To his surprise, however, the woman didn’t attack and instead dismissed the aura domain and asked, "So...?"

"Take her." Monarch Xuno waved his hand and pushed Zenovia towards her.

The woman covered her in her aura and frowned a little, which made Monarch Xuno’s tense up, afraid that she would find fault with him.

This made his proud heart burn in agony and he felt completely helpless because he really wasn’t her match.

The woman, fortunately, didn’t make difficult for him.

"You have my thanks." She said before turning to leave, but then she stopped and said, "Don’t feel that I have taken away your opportunity because I have not."

’Hm?’ Monarch Xuno frowned.

The woman smiled lightly and told him, "She no longer has the key. But even if she had and you had gotten it, it wouldn’t have benefitted you much either. In fact, it might have brought a disaster upon you."

Monarch Xuno’s grim expression vanished and he cupped his fists in respect towards her, "Senior, can you please do me a favor and tell me about the place it leads to?"

The woman considered it for a moment before saying, "Rumours aren’t really unfounded."

By the time her words stopped echoing, she had disappeared from the place along with Zenovia.

Monarch Xuno stood there, his fists clenched tight and his heart thudding in his chest.

"So it’s true..." he muttered. Then his excitement slowly ebbed. He no longer knew where he could find another key.

However...

His eyes flashed. He did know where he could find the clues about it.

...Beast Emperor Hall.
