Chapter 1151: The Djinn Siblings

’Things are going great, babe. You sound tired. Is everything alright?’

Gina hummed as she turned around in bed. Gina had been working with Juliet all day while trying to handle matters at the Monarch guild, so she was pretty exhausted. Jason’s mom, Mira, was sleeping beside Gina on the same bed, and Gina smiled as she told Jason that his mom was snoring and keeping her awake. Jason chuckled.

’I’ll tell her you said that. Anyway, we just got a ship, and we’re heading out into the Zeroth Domain. I’ll send you a postcard from the first world we go to.’

Gina hummed sleepily, and she spoke in a loving, drowsy voice. Now that she had heard Jason’s voice, Gina could feel herself drifting off already.

’Please be careful, babe. I’ll talk to you later. I miss you. I love you.’

Jason smiled.

’I love you too, baby.’

Gina finally passed out with a smile, and Jason let out a calm breath as he closed down the link. It had only been a few days since Jason left Earth, and he was already wishing this mission would go by quicker so he could return! Jason shook his head and got rid of those thoughts as he focused again. Jason looked towards Valeria, and he saw her working expertly on the ship’s computers. Since Valeria had been on many Hyperdrive ships before and had worked with many crews, she understood how many of them worked, so she was able to bring up a map on the bottom left side of the large panel in front of Jason. Jason glanced at the map, and he saw a red arrow that was moving very slowly. Jason immediately had a feeling that this red arrow was the ship moving through the Hyperspace.

There was a blue dot blinking on the northeast side of the map, and Jason asked Valeria what that was. Valeria turned around and leaned against the counter as she spoke.

"Remember that mission that I had to go and talk about at the bar earlier?"

Jason hummed as he continued moving forward, and Valeria continued.

"It turned out to be related to a favour I sent out a while back. Remember I told you I had friends that could help me look for traces of Gregory in the Hyperspace. Well, one of them sent me a message about a recent incident on a world called Bal’ina. Turns out a large army was attacked on their way to a distant province by what they refer to as an ’Avaran Monstrosity’. I don’t know all the details, but they said he came from a Dimensional Tear in that world and vanished before anyone could track him."

"And you think this was Gregory? He’s not the only powerful Avaran in this part of the Primordial Expanse."

Valeria nodded when Jason said this.

"I know, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Even if it wasn’t Gregory, it could be one of his King’s Guard. If we can track them down, I think we can find out where Gregory is."

Jason went silent for a few seconds as he allowed this information to digest, and he thought about it deeply before he finally nodded.

"Alright. We’ll head there first. Just tell me how to -"

"Master!"

Stella’s voice suddenly cut Jason off from behind as she ran into the cockpit, and Jason glanced at her and saw the tense look on her face! Jason asked Stella what the hell was going on, and Stella told Jason that he and the others had to see this!

"There are prisoners in the dungeon below. You have to come and see it!"

"What?"

Jason was shocked by this, and he immediately asked Malovena to explain herself! Malovena appeared from the Alternate Dimension, and she quickly told Jason about the prisoners! The Red Skins had been on an earlier mission before they took the detour to try and kill Jason at the Pit. They had been sent by a rich ruler from a distant world called Xin to kidnap two people from a world in the third domain, and bring them back to the Zeroth Domain. The two kidnap victims were still in the dungeon below!

Jason cursed silently and immediately activated ’autopilot’ before he got up from the captain’s chair and began heading out of the cockpit.

"Show me."

Jason commanded Stella, and Stella quickly ran ahead of Jason and led him down to the dungeon. The dungeon was a dark, lonely region located in the bottom part of the ship. There was a long staircase that led to it, and there was no light at all, but Jason could see just fine with his enhanced vision. Jason made his way all the way down the stairs before he reached a large cage that had two figures huddled together in one corner.

Once Jason appeared, the two figures seemed to shuffle even further back as they tried to get away from him! Jason narrowed his eyes as he looked them over. There was a young boy who didn’t look anything above five years old, and a girl who looked to be around the same age as Jason. The young girl had a bag over her head, and the young boy had a cloth over his mouth. The young girl was holding the young boy in her hands, and she hugged his head to her chest like she was trying to protect him from whoever had come.

Jason immediately spoke to Malovena.

’Who are they, and why did you kidnap them?’

Malovena responded immediately.

’They are a special breed of magical creatures known as Djinn. They grew up in the third domain on a world called Terrasact. In this world, there are certain individuals blessed by a magical god capable of granting people powers. These people are chosen at birth as unique priests and priestesses, and their power is absolute and unavoidable. The little boy, his name is Arte, and he possesses the blessing of absolute Truth. A blessing that allows him to tear through the fabric of reason and logic and immediately acquire knowledge of the true foundation of any matter.’

Jason turned to look at the boy curiously, and he noticed that the boy was looking at him. The boy was fair-skinned and beautiful in a way that almost made him look like a girl, but his eyes were not normal. Rather than having a regular iris, the boy’s eyes were cloudy, white, and unseeing.

"He’s blind."

’He might be blind physically, but he sees more than you can ever imagine.’

Malovena spoke up again when Jason said this, and Jason noticed how the boy was simply staring at him with intensity! Their eyes were locked, and Jason almost felt like he was being pulled in by an invisible force deep within the core of an impossible abyss.

Jason quickly looked away from the boy’s eyes before he could get pulled in, and he turned to look at the girl and asked.

’And what about her? Why did you cover her face?’

Malovena actually narrowed her eyes when Jason asked this, and she said:

’It is because she is too beautiful.’

Jason scowled.

"What do you mean by too beautiful?"

Malovena continued.

’Just like the young boy, the girl was also blessed by her magical god. But her blessing is something even more dangerous. She possesses the key to Desire. Her appearance, movement, countenance, and personality are tied to a magical allure that makes her irresistible to the opposite gender. I had to put the bag over her head because the men were finding it hard to focus whenever they looked at her face. Some of them even tried to rape her, but I stopped them before they could do anything. Her power is just too strong.’
