Succubus World - Start with Incubus System
Chapter 123: Corvina definitely hates men
After escaping from Meira, Karin did not immediately go looking for Corvina. Though she kept insisting that she had not suffered any serious injuries, her body was far more honest. Her left shoulder was still numb from the lightning, and the energy channels in her body had not fully stabilized after Meira had used air pressure to force her into the ground.
In the end, under Velyss’s gaze, Karin could only reluctantly stay at their hideout and rest for several hours.
It was not until the following evening that she returned to Silver Moon alone.
This time, Karin was not wearing the full battle suit she had used when raiding the garrison. A dark coat concealed most of the equipment underneath, her long golden hair was tied neatly behind her back, and her two curved black horns were partly hidden beneath her hood. Her black feathered wings were fully drawn in, leaving only her golden eyes to keep scanning the unfamiliar streets around her.
It took her nearly two hours to find the location.
Not because Corvina had deliberately concealed herself, but because this Titan Succubus had almost no official activity clear enough to trace. She did not own a large company like Laviana, did not have a hospital like Meira, and did not live in the villa districts reserved for the wealthy.
In the end, Karin had to track down several Succubi who often appeared at Corvina’s side before finding her way to the western district of Silver Moon.
She stopped at a renovated old garage. The two-story building stood amid a warehouse district, its exterior almost entirely black, with six large motorcycles parked out front. Some had been stripped of several parts, while tires, repair tools, and large metal crates were piled against the wall.
Purple-red light spilled from the first floor into the yard. Karin took one look and immediately found the place pleasing. "This is it."
She lowered her hood and walked straight across the road.
The garage door was not locked. The moment she pushed it open, the smell of motor oil rushed toward her.
The space inside was very large. One half was used for repairing motorcycles, while the other contained several sofas, a small bar, and many weapon racks. Leather jackets, chains, helmets, and countless photographs hung on the walls.
The five Succubi inside the garage all turned around. They wore leather jackets, tight pants, and knee-high boots. A few even shared similar heavy makeup, and Karin knew at a glance that she had not come to the wrong place.
A purple-haired Succubus sitting near the bar set down her glass. "Who are you looking for?"
Karin did not beat around the bush. "Corvina."
The atmosphere in the garage shifted slightly. The five women immediately assessed her from head to toe.
The purple-haired woman asked, "Who are you?"
"That is irrelevant," Karin replied naturally. "I only want to know where Corvina is."
A brown-haired Succubus sitting on the sofa immediately laughed. "What a wonderful way to ask for something."
Karin had already been in a bad mood. Just hearing that made the corner of her eye twitch. But before she could cause trouble, her attention was drawn to the photographs on the wall.
Karin walked over. The largest picture was placed right in the center.
Corvina stood beside a black motorcycle, her long hair nearly reaching her waist and deliberately tousled. Dark purple makeup framed her eyes, while her black lips made her already sharp features seem even colder. A biker jacket covered a leather corset, leather pants clung to her long legs, and a leather choker with a metal hook rested at the center of her throat.
Corvina’s frame was larger than that of most Succubi. Her shoulders were broad and her arms toned, yet her waist was very slim, while her hips and legs still retained the mature curves characteristic of a Succubus.
In the photo, she was merely standing with her arms crossed and staring into the camera, but it was enough to make it seem as though the photographer would be punched if they said the wrong thing.
Karin nodded unconsciously. "Not bad."
The purple-haired woman raised a brow slightly. "Boss."
Karin continued looking. Another photo showed Corvina standing among the corpses of several monsters, her leather jacket stained with blood but her face still expressionless. The five Succubi behind her, however, were smiling very happily.
The next photograph appeared to have been taken after a conflict. Corvina was using one hand to grip another Succubus by the collar and lift her off the ground.
The more Karin looked, the more satisfied she became.
’Right.’
’This is what a normal person looks like.’
She turned to the five women. "Corvina does not have a Partner?"
The purple-haired woman immediately became wary. "Why are you asking that?"
Karin did not answer. Someone beside her snorted softly. "Why would Boss need a man to back her up?"
Karin immediately turned toward her. "I knew it."
All five Succubi: "?"
Karin pointed at Corvina’s picture. "She has never depended on men?"
The other woman lifted her chin proudly. "Boss has always fought on her own. When something happens to us, she handles it herself too."
The corners of Karin’s lips rose further. "Does she interact with men often?"
The five women exchanged looks. After thinking for a moment, one of them answered, "Not much."
Karin had practically reached her conclusion. A powerful Succubus who did not need a man’s protection, had gathered her own group, fought for herself, had no Partner, and barely interacted with men.
After everything she had been forced to see in Erik’s villa, Corvina now seemed like proof that the world was not completely broken yet.
The purple-haired woman looked at Karin more and more strangely. "What exactly do you want?"
"Meet her."
"Boss is not here."
"Where is she?"
"Do not know."
Karin frowned. "You are her subordinate and you do not know?"
The purple-haired woman’s face immediately turned cold. "Boss has her own affairs. She does not need to tell us where she goes."
"Then contact her."
"No."
Karin fell silent.
The purple-haired woman crossed her arms. "Boss said no one is allowed to disturb her today."
Karin took a deep breath. Meira’s face immediately appeared in her mind, along with that irritating smile, the air pressure, the lightning, and especially the question that made her want to dig a hole and bury someone.
Karin forcibly pushed all of it down. "I am being very patient."
A brown-haired Succubus stood up. "I cannot tell."
Karin looked at her. "I am starting not to see it either."
"You want to cause trouble?"
Karin tilted her head slightly. "I did not plan to." She looked at the five women before her. "But now, a little."
The purple-haired woman stood up. "Get out."
"No." Karin smiled. "Call Corvina."
"I already said, Boss..."
Boom!
Before the brown-haired Succubus could react, Karin had grabbed her wrist and pulled her forward. A sweeping kick sent her whole body flying sideways before she landed straight on the sofa. The couch slid hard across the floor.
The other three immediately stood. "Bitch!"
A sword was drawn.
The moment Karin saw the weapon, her already irritated golden eyes brightened slightly. "Good." She drew two curved short blades. "At least do not disappoint me."
The purple-haired woman shouted, "Get her!"
The entire garage immediately descended into chaos.
A sword slashed at her from the left. Karin tilted her head to avoid it, then closed in on its wielder. She did not use her blades, merely driving the hilt into the woman’s stomach before turning and throwing her aside with her shoulder.
A chain shot toward her from behind. Karin twisted her wrist, wrapped it around one of her curved blades, and yanked hard. The Succubus wielding the chain immediately lost her balance and flew straight toward her.
Karin raised a foot against the woman’s stomach. "Hello."
Then she shoved hard.
Thud!
The woman landed on the second sofa.
Two other women attacked at the same time. Karin lowered herself to evade the first punch, sweeping her right leg into the second woman’s ankle and knocking her down. Immediately afterward, Karin spun and drove her elbow into the other opponent’s shoulder.
She was clearly angry, but she still held back. No bones were broken, and no one suffered fatal injuries.
In less than two minutes, all five Succubi were lying on the floor.
Karin planted her hands on her hips and let out a breath. Her mood had finally improved. "I tried talking."
The purple-haired woman, leaning against a broken table, gritted her teeth. "You are dead."
Karin looked at her. "Oh?"
"When Boss comes back, she will punch your face apart."
Karin fell silent, then her eyes lit up completely. "Really?"
The purple-haired woman froze. That was not the reaction she wanted.
Karin walked over. "Is Corvina very strong?"
The other woman said coldly, "Stronger than you think."
"Can she punch me flying?"
"Very far."
Karin smiled. "Good."
The five women: "..."
They were starting to feel that this woman was not normal.
Karin looked around, then pointed at the purple-haired woman. "You are coming with me."
"No."
"That was not a question."
"You..."
A few minutes later, the purple-haired Succubus’s wrists had been tied behind her back. Karin placed a hand on her shoulder as dark red mana spread outward.
The purple-haired woman immediately became wary. "What are you doing?"
"Tracing an aura."
"I do not know where Boss is."
"I do not need you to know."
Karin closed her eyes. Corvina had come into contact with this woman not long ago, so an extremely faint trace of her aura still clung to her clothes and hair. Karin’s mana quickly wrapped around that trace.
A red point of light appeared, then stretched into a thin thread leading toward the eastern part of the city.
Karin opened her eyes. "Got it."
The purple-haired woman was stunned. "You really found her?"
"Of course."
Karin spread her black feathered wings. The purple-haired woman saw them and immediately struggled. "Wait!"
Karin grabbed her and lifted her up. "Let’s go."
"Put me down!"
"No."
"Boss will beat you to death!"
Karin smiled. "I am starting to look forward to it."
"Are you sick?!"
"Maybe."
The two quickly left the garage.
Along the way, the captive Succubus refused to be quiet. "Boss must be training right now."
Karin followed the thread of aura. "Hm."
"You have no idea how strong she is."
"Hm."
"She can punch through a concrete wall with her bare hands."
Karin turned her head. "Really?"
The purple-haired woman immediately looked proud. "Of course."
An image quickly formed in Karin’s mind. Corvina, a tall Titan woman dressed in black with her long hair tied up, sweat running down her toned body as she continuously punched a block of metal.
Reasonable. Very reasonable.
"Once, Boss even lifted an entire motorcycle with one hand."
Karin was even more satisfied. "I like her already."
The purple-haired woman immediately glared at her. "Do not even dream about it."
"I mean I like her personality."
"Still not allowed."
Karin could not be bothered to explain.
The two continued onward, but around twenty minutes later, the scenery gradually began to change. The warehouses vanished, and there was no sign of a training hall either. In their place were brightly lit commercial streets.
Karin looked to both sides: fashion stores, restaurants, a bakery.
She frowned. "Corvina trains here?"
The purple-haired woman was beginning to look confused as well. "Maybe she came to buy equipment."
Karin looked at a cosmetics store they had just passed. "What equipment?"
"...I do not know."
The thread of aura continued leading them forward. The two went farther, and the point of light finally stopped in front of a large bookstore that was still open.
Karin looked at the sign. The purple-haired woman looked too.
The two fell silent.
Karin raised her hand and checked the thread of aura again. It was not wrong. It pointed straight inside.
She looked at the woman beside her. "Is my magic broken?"
The purple-haired woman immediately nodded. "Definitely."
Karin checked one more time. It was still not wrong.
"There is a training hall in the bookstore?"
The purple-haired woman thought very seriously. "Maybe in the basement."
Karin felt that was the most reasonable explanation.
At that moment, the glass door slowly opened.
A pair of black high heels stepped out first.
Then came the hem of a long dress.
Karin looked up, then froze completely.
