Sugar Daddy System: Infinite Money, Endless Harem
Chapter 29: Anna, Master Of Sarcasm
Linda joined in defensively, "Yeah, so what does Anna think he should eat for nutrition?"
Anna looked completely innocent and said softly, "He absolutely needs to replenish his nutrition. After all, Ryan hasn’t been taking care of himself before. He didn’t make much money but worked himself to the bone."
"And the worst part is, even after all that effort, people might not even appreciate it."
Tina gritted her teeth. What made it worse was that Anna stood up and directly threw that 8-dollar boxed meal into the trash.
"Ladies, I don’t mean to target you, but Ryan needs proper nutrition right now."
"Even if he’s willing to do it himself, as his brothers, you should step in and not let him ruin his health like this."
Ryan sat up straighter, feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the whole scene. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped.
"What are you doing?"
Tina stood up angrily.
Anna looked at her with an innocent expression and said, "Tina, this has nothing to do with you. I just can’t stand how careless men can be about these things."
"You showing up in person is enough, bringing a gift or not doesn’t matter. But if you were going to bring something, I doubt it’d be the cheapest boxed meal on campus."
Tina felt her heart tighten with frustration. She wanted to say something but didn’t know what.
Truth be told, she also felt embarrassed bringing that boxed meal.
But after years of enjoying the unconditional favors of a simp, with Linda right there beside her, she felt it would be beneath her to spend even a little more.
Linda’s expression shifted and she was about to speak when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
The door opened to reveal the female dorm supervisor from the guys’ building. Normally she had a stern, menopausal look, but now she was all smiles: "Students, we’re here to install the air conditioner."
"Huh, Auntie, we didn’t ask for one."
As the head of the dorm, Jason quickly went over.
Auntie, the dorm supervisor, was fairly reasonable. Mostly because she profited from this, her husband and son’s main business was installing and repairing air conditioners.
At Videl University, each dorm paid its own electricity bills. High-power appliances were regulated, but given the heat in recent years, they’d allow you to install an AC as long as you paid for the electricity yourself.
Regardless of gender, over half the dorms had ACs installed. For her, it was extra income, she wasn’t about to let that business go outside the family.
"Anna has already paid. Your dorm is getting a 1.5-horsepower unit, all costs covered. Just sit back and enjoy it."
Auntie Uma said this as her husband and his crew carried in a brand new AC and started installing it.
The dorm wasn’t big, a 1-horsepower unit would have been plenty. Installing a 1.5-horsepower one would drive up the electricity bill considerably.
While Jason was still stunned, Anna said sweetly, "Jason, don’t worry about anything. I’ve covered the AC and installation costs. I’ve also topped up the dorm electricity card with 1,000 dollars, it should last you guys until graduation."
"Ah... that, that’s too much."
Jason was at a loss for words.
Wester said awkwardly, "Yeah, the three of us will pool together and pay you back."
Anna said gently, "It’s fine. You’re Ryan’s brothers. I just don’t want to see him suffer like this."
Linda suddenly snapped, unable to hold back, "Hey Anna, what are you even doing? Throwing yourself at him like this, don’t you have any shame?"
That was practically crossing the line. But the words were harsh, and Wester and Jason immediately frowned.
"I’m happy to. I like him. I’m willing to throw myself at him. Do you even have the money to do the same?"
Anna was no pushover. She’d come prepared, and even if it turned into a head-on clash, she wasn’t afraid.
She sneered, "I’m here to take care of a sick person. If I lack sincerity, then how sincere are you two?"
At that, Tina and Linda were speechless.
Tina stood up angrily and said, "Anna, I came to see Ryan out of my own consideration. You have no right to lecture me."
Anna was unfazed. She giggled and said, "Sure, you came empty-handed, right? Don’t tell me you’re here on behalf of your class to deliver some ’warmth.’"
"If that’s the case, you can leave too. Even a personal connection shouldn’t be this cold."
Then Anna put on a surprised look and said, "Oh wait, was that 8-dollar boxed meal from you? I’m so sorry, I had no idea."
"A rare gesture from a cheapskate. I shouldn’t have thrown away such a precious gift."
"I thought it was just his roommates being stingy."
Anna was a master at sarcasm. This campus beauty could be just as sharp when provoked.
Tina was deeply stung. She snapped, "Enough, Anna. My business is none of your concern. Me coming here to see him at all is already giving him a huge honor."
As soon as she said it, Tina realized she’d misspoken. Even if that was how she truly felt, she shouldn’t have said it out loud.
Sure enough, the atmosphere went dead silent. Linda’s look said it all: Are you out of your mind? How could you say that?
Wester and Jason, who had always been polite to her for their brother’s sake, had their expressions tighten slightly. They didn’t say anything, but their faces were cold.
Ryan’s jaw tightened. He finally spoke, his voice flat: "You’re right. You showing up is an honor. I get it."
The words hung in the air, cutting deeper than any insult.
"Ryan, get some rest!"
Tina was proud. She looked at Ryan and gritted her teeth, "But if you keep associating with people like her, don’t come looking for me anymore."
Ryan didn’t respond. He just looked away, clearly done with the conversation.
With that, she left. Linda followed behind her.
---
Back in the dorm, even with the AC blowing, Tina felt restless. Especially that look of casual confidence on Anna’s face as she left, it stung like a needle in her heart.
Linda took a cold shower, feeling refreshed, and asked, "Sweetie, what you said yesterday, was it true or not?"
Tina was annoyed, "Why would I lie to you?"
Just then, another roommate gasped, and Linda immediately opened her social media feed.
"Wow, that’s LV’s latest model! Our city didn’t have it a few days ago, and Anna already got one as soon as it arrived."
Tina opened her feed and immediately saw Anna’s morning post: "Thank you, my dear. I wonder when we can go public. I’m so looking forward to it."
Again, it was a nine-panel grid. The brand new top-tier iPhone 17 was just a prop.
The most eye-catching was that LV summer latest model bag, along with another particularly beautiful one, also an LV brand but much rarer.
Linda gritted her teeth and said, "Sweetie, it looks like Ryan gave that phone he was going to buy you to that bitch Anna."
Hearing that, Tina felt even worse. Her eyes were practically blazing with anger.
Another curious roommate wondered, "She already has the newest phone, yet she put that unfamiliar bag in the center. Is that bag even better?"
She then looked it up online and gasped, "It’s a limited edition, almost 60,000 dollars."
"A 60,000-dollar bag? That’s insane. My most expensive one is only a little over 3,000."
"Yours is fine, mine’s only a bit over 1,000..."
"How did Anna get such a nice bag? Kai definitely wouldn’t give her that."
"Right. I wonder which sugar daddy she found. So generous. And from her post, it seems like the guy doesn’t even want to go public with her."
"At our school, the handsome ones are broke, and the rich ones aren’t good-looking. Who exactly won over our campus queen?"
That post instantly went viral in the girls’ dorms, becoming the hottest topic at Videl University that day. A 60,000-dollar bag was top-tier luxury even in the real world.
