Sugar Daddy System: Starting With The Goddess Next Door

Chapter 67: The House Purchase Deal Is Struck

  • Next Chapter

The next day was Saturday. Little Aya-chan didn’t have to go to school, so everyone slept in and got up very late.

This included Hayami Rina, who normally never lazed in bed.

Mainly because she had been a bit too exhausted last night.

Hayami Rina simply assumed it was because Kitahara had enjoyed drinking and was in good spirits, and didn’t think much of it.

Come to think of it, she actually quite liked it this way!

Over the next two days of the weekend, apart from taking Hayami Rina and her daughter to stroll around a nearby park once, Kitahara mostly stayed home writing.

In between, he also found time to go near Ginza once, where he bought another antique ornament for Hayami Rina, spending fifteen million yen.

Added to the previous nine million yen, with the sixfold rebate, it was basically enough to cover the house payment.

Though still a little short, it wasn’t a big problem and was easy to solve.

On Monday morning, Kitahara received a phone call from Matsuda Yumi, saying the bank’s leadership had agreed to lower the price by ten million yen. If Kitahara was satisfied, they could complete the transaction immediately.

Or, if he still had objections, he could also come over to meet and discuss.

From the tone of Matsuda Yumi’s words, the bank’s leadership was very sincere and had made a big concession. Kitahara felt it was about right, and set off.

It had to be said that the leadership at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation was truly troubled. They had never seen a client like Kitahara.

He was only willing to communicate with a junior employee, not even giving them a chance to meet and talk.

Not even once.

Was it really necessary to be so extreme?

This young man was far too good at haggling!

If they hadn’t checked and confirmed that Kitahara’s account really did hold a massive amount of funds, they would have suspected he didn’t have the ability to buy at all — that he was just a clown deliberately playing them for fools.

But seeing that Kitahara really did have that much money, and once again confirming with the junior employee Matsuda Yumi that he genuinely intended to buy,

the bank people also began to take it seriously.

That "single-family house" had been sitting in their hands for several years, unable to be disposed of. For this kind of non-performing asset, taking a small loss to convert it into cash was no big deal.

They immediately made a concession and requested the transaction.

When Kitahara arrived at the bank, he received a warm reception. Not only did the department head he had met that day come out to greet him — even a vice president had come outside the door to wait and welcome him.

The degree of attention was evident!

"Mr. Kitahara, if you have any requests at all, please feel free to raise them. The price is negotiable! If you’re still not satisfied with the current price, we have other options."

In the spacious meeting room, fine tea was served before Kitahara. Across from him, Matsuda Yumi’s department head spoke humbly and respectfully.

It seemed he was the main person in charge of this business discussion.

Beside him, the vice president kept a smile on his face, nodding and smiling at Kitahara from time to time, while also keeping an eye on the situation on the scene. If anything unexpected happened, he would step in at any moment.

Clearly, they wanted to ensure this deal went through smoothly no matter what.

"Oh, other options? Department Head Miyamoto, could you explain what they are first?" Kitahara asked.

He wanted to see what better options the bank had.

"It’s like this, Mr. Kitahara. We don’t yet know what payment method you intend to use. If it’s a full payment, then the current price really is the lowest — we’ve already taken a big loss.

But if you could pay only a portion as a down payment, and take out a loan from our bank for the rest, then we could make a small further concession on the price!"

Department Head Miyamoto exchanged a glance with his vice president, then spoke steadily.

The moment Kitahara heard "loan," he immediately waved his hand and refused.

A loan was out of the question. The main reason was that this house was being bought for Hayami Rina, and she would be the one to sign and transfer the title.

Given her circumstances, she didn’t qualify to borrow such a huge sum.

And there was one more crucial reason: he couldn’t let Hayami Rina carry debt.

Hayami Rina’s husband had jumped to his death precisely because of debt problems. Needless to say, she must loathe the very idea of it.

So this option was out.

"Department Head Miyamoto, let’s not discuss a loan. I plan to pay in full. You should still concede a bit more on the price!

In the current market, buying a house means losing money. Everyone’s losing. So there’s no need to talk about anything else. As long as you can satisfy me, I can pay the deposit and sign the contract today!"

Kitahara didn’t want to waste too much energy on this matter, so he spoke very directly.

He really did want to buy the house quickly, so that Hayami Rina’s favorability would surge and he could get the "special reward" sooner.

The bank probably wouldn’t lower the price much more, and he didn’t really care — mainly he just didn’t want them to take advantage of him.

Every bit of price he could cut was worth cutting.

Even though he didn’t lack this money, if they made a profit off him, it would feel worse than if he himself had lost out!

Hearing Kitahara say this, the other side also grew serious.

Apart from Matsuda Yumi, who looked indifferent and acted as if it had nothing to do with her, everyone else present wore grave and solemn expressions.

Department Head Miyamoto asked the vice president with his eyes. The vice president nodded, and directly faced Kitahara:

"Mr. Kitahara, how about this: we’ll concede another five million yen on the price. That’s our bottom line! Please be sure to see our sincerity, and our strong desire to reach a partnership with you. Please!"

"Good! Then let’s sign the contract! Oh, and one more thing — you can’t deduct Yumi-chan’s commission!"
