Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 1768: Power of Law

Chapter 1768: Power of Law

Everyone turned their heads to Fenrir, who was still ’dead’ because of the maid uniform.

"Fenrir..." Nathan called out loud.

Fenrir remained still.

"Fenrir!" Nathan raised his voice.

"..." Fenrir finally turned his body around and looked at Nathan.

"We need to know about the vase. Why did you look like you recognized it, and why did it help you with evolution?" Nathan asked.

Fenrir just closed his eyes as if he didn’t have the energy to answer.

"All right. You can take off those clothes after answering our questions."

The original punishment was to have Fenrir stay in the same clothes for a week. So, when Nathan offered that, his expression brightened. "You should have said so!"

Without hesitation, Fenrir used his power and shredded the clothes apart.

Nathan definitely did say he could take it off after he answered the questions, but he didn’t argue further.

This matter was much more important after all. So, Auric asked, "Can you answer the question then?"

Fenrir walked to them and said, "The vase contained the power of laws."

"Hmm?" Nathan raised his eyebrows.

Tiamat fell silent for a few seconds before saying, "The power of laws... During the conversion from divine rules into divinity, the rules themselves remain, while divinity is the power related to your existence.

"However, it’s normal to say that divine rules and divinity are one thing as well. After all, it’s upgraded together once you forge the true vessel.

"If we look into the details, divinity turns into authority while divine rules become laws.

"However, is there a divine law in this kind of place?" Tiamat frowned. "There used to be a true god here?"

"I am not sure. However, that’s not the only way to acquire an item with that kind of power." Fenrir shook his head. "Even devouring someone’s law will help."

"That’s probably just you." Anubis rolled his eyes. "No one can even absorb that kind of thing."

"It’s possible." Fenrir shrugged. "Once you die, you will lose the connection to your own divinity or authority. Then, you just simply convert it to your own."

"Like I said, that’s impossible. That brand is not compatible."

"I can convert it." Fenrir snorted. "I realized this after killing an old man."

"..." Brunhild’s eyebrows twitched. It was clear who the old man he mentioned was. However, she remained silent for the sake of the conversation.

"So, doesn’t that mean it’s just you?" Anubis frowned.

"Eh? Devour?" Mae was taken aback. "You didn’t devour that energy before. Instead, you used the Master’s Soul Contract."

"!!!" Everyone suddenly realized something.

"My Soul Contract can convert someone’s divinity into your own?" Nathan frowned.

"Yes. However, there is one condition. First, the amount of divine rule needs to be the same. If you have three divine rules, then that energy will need to have three divine rules as well."

"Doesn’t that mean we can use the corpses of the alpha class aliens? Of course, only those with three divine rules?"

Fenrir shook his head. "Depends on their current progress. If they currently have one divine rule, then you need a corpse with one divine rule. If they currently have three, then you need energy with three divine rules. It’s not the future that matters. It’s the present."

Nathan thought for a moment. Starting from alpha class aliens, their bodies would leave behind the divine rules after they were defeated.

If Fenrir’s theory was correct, it meant they could use their corpses as sacrificial items.

"Besides..." Fenrir raised one claw. "The aliens are being tainted by the black cell. That’s why I have never said it. This vase is different."

"If that’s the case, can’t we just use that research to separate the black cell from the corpses?"

"That’s..." Fenrir looked up. "Now that I think about it, it might be possible."

"..." They were a bit speechless. Then again, Fenrir was never the brightest mind.

"We can probably test extracting that energy with the Soul Contract. We first separated the black cell and used the Soul Contract to transfer the energy. Fenrir can confirm whether that energy is the same or not."

"That is possible." Tiamat nodded. "For everyone who is currently forming their divine rules, you can build up the divine body through this method. My summoner can help you.

"If this method is working, that means the burden my summoner will have when helping all of you will be lessened greatly." Tiamat never thought she would learn this kind of information.

She continued, "However, for those who wish to become true gods, you will need the power of laws. In other words, there is currently no alien that can be used right now. However, it might change after leaving this world."

Nathan nodded in agreement. "Still, how do you know my Soul Contract can do it?"

Fenrir harrumphed. "The vase still had the will of an individual. I didn’t know whose will it was, but it clearly had a trace of it.

"My body could naturally purify it, but once it entered my body, I realized that the will was already gone. So, this meant that you managed to convert it to pure law.

"Then again, you couldn’t make a contract with a dead man. Once the Soul Contract was in effect, the possession of that vase belonged to this world. The world didn’t have a will, so the contract removed the will without adding the world’s consciousness."

"That’s kind of overpowered." Anubis raised his eyebrows.

"The Soul Contract is always overpowered. Rather than that, I’m much more curious about what it can do after it evolves once again." Nidhogg looked at Nathan. "After our summoner becomes a god, it should evolve again. What next? Is it going to wield karma or something?"

"Somehow, I feel like that is what’s going to happen." Qilin shook his head helplessly.

"What are you guys talking about?" Nathan shook his head helplessly. "At this rate, you’re going to jinx my contract in the future."

"..." They fell silent for a moment, realizing that it was possible. They soon laughed it off.

Nathan just rolled his eyes.
