"Tell me about the Dark Dimension or the Great Void."

Apep paused for a moment.

"What’s wrong?" Nathan narrowed his eyes, wondering if he couldn’t say anything about it.

"I simply don’t know much about it. I did have some memories that I had recovered, but it wasn’t much."

Nathan understood the situation. The multiple dimensions in this universe weren’t meant to meet each other. If not for the Dark Dimension trying to enter this world, they wouldn’t even know about it.

However, this also confirmed that Apep indeed came from the Dark Dimension. Just like the black cell, he had come to this universe in a different way.

Because of his full rebirth, Apep had to cast away everything. It was already amazing to be able to recover some of it.

Nathan didn’t have a lot of expectations, but knowing more about the Dark Dimension would be good. He might find a new weakness that the black cell possesses.

Nathan nodded. "Don’t worry. Just tell me everything you know. That’ll be fine."

"Fine." Apep paused for a moment, recalling everything. "The Dark Dimension is dark... very dark. There is still light over there, but not much. The light is usually devoured by anything that lives around there."

"All the creatures inside can do that?"

"I don’t know. Most, or maybe all of them, can."

"There are no creatures like humans?"

"No. There is no shape or pattern that will distinguish them. So, I can’t give you the description of what they look like. However, it’s not like they can’t see.

"They can see even in the dark. No, it’s more accurate to say that they’re seeing the darkness rather than the light. Just like how you are able to perceive light and have a hard time seeing in the darkness, those creatures are basically the opposite."

"Does that mean you’re also looking at me differently?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, but all I see is that this universe is quite bright. The entire area is shining. Rather, you people are the ones I have a harder time seeing."

"..." Nathan looked down. It seemed that the black and white in the Dark Dimension were inverted.

Understanding the situation in the Dark Dimension, Nathan asked, "Anything else?"

"In that place, they are feeding the energy that emits darkness. It’s not the sun or anything. It’s more like... I don’t know... these particles around us right now. They feed on these particles. That’s why it’s easier to find them in outer space rather than on a planet."

Nathan muttered, "Hmm. The particles around us... energy that emits darkness... don’t tell me, it’s dark matter."

"Dark matter?" Anubis tilted his head in confusion.

Nathan looked up, recalling the information about it. "In science, it’s an invisible form of matter that doesn’t emit, absorb, or reflect light. It is one of the major contributors to the existence of this universe.

"Without them, galaxies would fly apart instead of holding together. So, that’s probably it."

Apep nodded. "I don’t know whether that’s correct or not, but you may be right. 90% of the Dark Dimension is made of these particles. In this place, it’s about a quarter of it?"

"Yeah. That should be it. I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s definitely around that.." Nathan snapped his fingers. "So, the Dark Dimension is filled with dark matter, and the creatures over there feed on the dark matter to survive and get stronger."

"Sounds about right," confirmed Apep.

"I see. That’s interesting. Do you think people like us can live there?"

"No. Definitely not."

"Why not?"

"You can’t live in another dimension because the composition is different. If a normal person were thrown away into outer space, they would die. It’s basically the same principle.

"The creatures in that place can’t come to this universe as well. If they do, they will die. I was reborn in this place after casting away everything.

"I had to start from the beginning, making my body as similar as the creatures in this universe. Only then could I survive."

Nathan raised one finger. "Still, your strength is exceptional even by this universe’s standards."

"You don’t know the harshness of the Dark Dimension. You just have to kill anything in front of you if you don’t want to die."

"Well, I’m not the one to judge." Nathan sighed. "I guess this means the third ancient battlefield won’t be possible to access. We will abandon the third ancient battlefield and focus only on the other two ancient battlefields."

The familiars agreed. Although they were curious about the Dark Dimension, it would be better to just contain their curiosity instead of losing their lives there.

Nathan asked, "Then, do you think it’s possible to live in this world by using the bodies of the creatures from this universe?"

"Yes? If you are good at camouflage or something similar, you can simply use the creatures in this world to change your own structures."

Nathan nodded in understanding. He confirmed that the black cell was indeed in this situation. It was only able to survive because it had its host.

Once removed, the black cell would die.

"What about special abilities? Do you have special abilities in general? It’s fine if you don’t want to tell me your trump card in case you want to defeat me. However, you should know my goal after reading my memories."

"I don’t care whether you kill the creatures from that dimension or not. If you keep fighting, you are going to summon me again and again, so I will have plenty of time to defeat you."

"So?" Nathan crossed his arms.

"There are two abilities that you may want to know. First is the utilization of energy different from any creature in this world. You should have seen how I utilized my energy earlier.

"When I released my energy, the dark power around me also fluctuated, which strengthened it."

Nathan recalled the battle. It was indeed true. He had suppressed Apep before, but that didn’t change the fact that he managed to do it. Apep might not use all his power because he had become a creature in this universe. If he utilized that power in the Dark Dimension, he might become three to four times stronger.

"I see. What about the second ability?"
