Chapter 1991: Facing The True God

  • Next Chapter

The true god was startled when he sensed an otherworldly presence staring at him.

"!!!" The true god widened his eyes and looked up. Even though he couldn’t see Nathan, he could feel him.

The next thing that happened was a massive earthquake. All that force was crushing his body from all directions.

"Aaagghhh!" The true god was baffled. This was the first time he experienced an attack like this.

He was trying to stop it, but to no avail. The force from Nathan’s power felt so different from anything he had faced so far.

The true god snapped his fingers. A powerful sound wave fought against Nathan’s power and ultimately dispersed it.

It also pushed his familiars back, but as expected, Garuda easily broke through that sound wave and continued toward the true god at such a high speed.

The true god punched Garuda. Seeing this, Garuda transformed from his bird form to humanoid form and punched back.

Their fist clashed. The wind and the sound clashed.

Unfortunately, Garuda only had fifty million ena. It was nowhere near enough to face a true god.

He got launched away, barely stabilizing himself. His right arm was broken, but he simply sipped his nectar and healed himself.

While his nectar wasn’t as good as Anubis’s power, it still possessed the power of regeneration and immortality. So, it was a good alternative to heal these people.

The true god pinpointed Nathan’s location first, realizing that Nathan wasn’t bluffing. Nathan was probably the first person with a power to threaten his life despite having such a low level.

That was why he had to eliminate Nathan first.

The true god snapped his fingers again. The sound wave traveled to the left.

Nathan appeared out of nowhere, having a hard time blocking this sound wave. At the same time, the true god teleported right behind Nathan as if he could switch spots with his own sound.

The true god went for the head, wanting to kill Nathan as quickly as possible.

However, even if Nathan was in trouble, he never thought he would die. Nathan still had a few trump cards.

And this time, it was his Time Domain.

The time domain froze everything around him.

The true god produced yet another sound wave and broke apart the time domain, but it was never meant to stop the true god.

He used the time domain to buy himself valuable time to activate another ability.

Before the true god could reach him, Nathan had disappeared.

"!!!" The true god glanced back, noticing Nathan’s presence, which suddenly appeared.

Both of them punched each other, but Nathan activated his time domain again, not to freeze him, but to activate the timeline.

He finally utilized the time ability that Ananta had taught him. In the past, he had asked Ananta to teach him how to wield the time power, so he did it.

Both of them glitched, which confused the true god. The next thing he realized, their fists missed each other as though they had been rearranged by something invisible.

Nathan punched the true god in the face, using the Space Quake to deal maximum damage.

The true god felt like his body was getting distorted, but the sound wave protected his body. In the end, Nathan blasted him away.

Although it was only for a brief moment, Nathan wasn’t afraid of the true god. He really thought himself equal to the true god in front of him.

Of course, they were, by no means, equal. Nathan might be strong, stronger than normal gods. However, he was still no match against a true god.

The only reason he could blow the true god away was simply because of his unique power. The moment the true god figured it out, he would lose the advantage and lose.

That was why other familiars were necessary.

As soon as both Nathan and Garuda finished attacking, the other familiars immediately swept in, creating no gap for the true god to exploit.

If this was a one-on-one battle, Nathan would absolutely have no way to defeat him. However, this was his fight alongside his familiars.

Nidhogg and Orochi had changed their positions, surrounding the true god from both sides.

They released their chaos flame and poison at the same time.

"You are too naive! Your level is still too low to fight against me!" The true god snorted and used his sound wave to deflect it, but that was when Peng came.

A gust of wind suddenly engulfed the true god and merged the power of poison and chaos. The chaos flame caused the sound wave to become unstable, while the poison corroded even the energy to power that sound wave.

As a result, they managed to stop the true god for a brief moment.

Then, Ananta moved toward the true god and tried to swallow him.

"Kh..." The true god was truly having trouble with Ananta and Nathan. The power of time was so unique that it was hard to just block it.

When both of them were about to clash, their bodies would glitch as Ananta picked a timeline where the attack was successful. The true god had to figure out how to connect his power.

Otherwise, he had to rely on his superior firepower and greater energy reserves to wait until Ananta and Nathan exhausted themselves.

And there was no way it was going to happen.

Nathan also came with Ananta this time. As soon as Ananta found a breakthrough, Nathan exploited it with his power.

Nathan gathered all his power in his fist and punched the true god. As if waiting for it, the true god punched Nathan as well. He spread his power as far as possible so that Nathan couldn’t escape from it.

They started glitching, but as expected of an authority possessed by a true god. It actually negated the timeline and made it unstable, causing Nathan unable to pick the best possibility.

However, that was enough for Nathan. He didn’t need to get the best one. He only needed to pick the worst one for him.

Both of their energies erupted.

Bam!

And the result was shocking. Nathan’s right arm snapped in a different direction as he almost lost that arm.
