Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1997: Help
"Hahahaha. Let’s play!" Iris grinned, coming for another god.
Flora felt a bit relieved. With Iris’s help, she would have an easier time taking care of the remaining gods.
However, the situation hadn’t changed much.
"!!!" The gods noticed how Iris was trying to turn the situation around.
"Someone already killed one of us?"
"How can this be?"
"What should we do now?"
The gods gritted their teeth. They never thought that a job that was supposed to be easy would actually cost one of them their life.
"We need to either help our own or just go straight to that woman!"
They couldn’t help but agree, but they wondered which one they were going to do.
Flora’s spirits were quite injured, so they wouldn’t be in a position to maintain the balance much longer.
If they continued like this, they would definitely defeat her. Still, would it be too late? Iris was coming with an overwhelming force. They could see it clearly since she was not far from them.
It looked like they really had no other choice.
"We don’t have to care about these guys. Focus on their master!"
That was right. Flora had been the one supporting them. Without her timely support, the spirits would have fallen.
Flora had been blasting one ability after another with multiple absolute elements. They felt the suppression of absolute elements, but they really needed to defeat her fast.
So, the remaining seven gods disengaged and slipped past the spirits.
"!!!" The eight divine spirits were chasing after them. Since one of them was being chased by two divine spirits, he was the first one to get caught.
"Mistress Flora!" Iris noticed what was going on. She had been so focused on her own fight that she didn’t realize her action had cornered the other gods.
The spirits were doing their best to catch up, but at this rate, something would happen to Flora.
"Kill her!" The remaining six gods roared, gathering their power.
Flora was also discharging her power, not planning to let them kill her so easily.
Unfortunately for the enemy, a powerful energy surged from the left side before they could reach Flora.
"Blood!"
"Impact!"
A powerful explosion produced a massive shock wave that carried the trace of blood. They brushed all a few gods.
When the blood splattered on them, two women abruptly appeared as though they had just teleported to the blood.
Risa waved her hand, trying to slice her opponent’s neck, but the latter managed to block it with his sword.
Lilith tried to pierce her opponent’s heart, but the other party avoided it at the last moment and hit her back, producing a small burst to knock both of them away.
A surge of water was also flowing between Flora and several gods.
The moment she saw it, Flora activated her absolute ice and froze the water, creating a massive wall between them.
Then, Ying Zhen struck one of the gods with his sword, while Selena used her own power to crush another one.
The remaining two gods were stunned.
"How can she be here?"
"Wasn’t she supposed to be fighting Lord Iskariot right now?"
"Don’t tell me..."
"There’s no way Lord Iskariot would be losing against her."
They were shocked, but it just proved something else. Selena’s capability was extremely high.
Then again, if Nathan didn’t need to split his group into three, he would have probably killed one true god.
Selena instructed, "My familiar and I will stop five of them. Focus on the other two."
Flora glanced at the last god that was stopped by her two divine spirits. She nodded her head and shouted, "Split into two groups and overwhelm our enemies. Kill them as quickly as possible."
All eight divine spirits looked at their targets with bloodshot eyes. These people had been bullying them because they were weaker than normal gods because of their low fundamental strength.
Still, if they could fight together, it would be a different matter. It was time for them to repay everything these gods had done to them.
Flora smiled, knowing how frustrated her spirits were when they stopped eight gods by themselves.
She just never expected Selena to be the one rescuing her.
After all, Selena had to kill a true god by herself.
"Are you done?" Flora asked, using the communicator from Machina.
"Yeah. Nyx couldn’t continue the fight here, so you needed to hurry up. Also, send Machina here to crush their morale."
"Understood." Flora turned to Machina. "Machina!"
"On it." Machina was flying toward Selena. Selena tossed her space ring to see what she was talking about.
It turned out Selena had stored the body of the true god.
Machina immediately took it out while bringing out a few things from her space rings. She reassembled a few devices so that it could project an image for everyone to see.
She needed it as big as possible, so it took her a few minutes, but she managed to make one.
When she activated it, an image of their true god being defeated was broadcast around them.
Only those who were fighting Flora earlier could see, but it would definitely dampen their morale.
"That’s..."
"Impossible."
"Are you saying they have killed Lord Iskariot?"
When they saw their superior, who was supposed to be stronger than them, dying, there were two possible actions. They might be terrified because the one who defeated their true god would be coming for them. The second possibility was charging at them to avenge their superior.
However, it didn’t look like these people had such loyalty.
That was why Machina added the ’poison’ to their hearts. "Attention. Leave now if you don’t want to die like this person! You..."
Machina kept talking, implanting the thoughts that it was better to run than sacrifice their lives in an unwinnable battle.
"We..." They looked confused. Should they really run?
What Selena wanted was not them running. She just wanted their confusion.
In that confusion, her ability would work wonders in killing them. It was time to overpower their enemy.
