Super Strong Little Divine Farmer
Chapter 2381 - 2382: Awakening
Chapter 2381: Chapter 2382: Awakening
The few people sat back down at the stone table. Unlike before, everyone now felt a sense of calm as their previously suspended hearts settled.
"These days, it has been troublesome for you all. Without you, I, an old man, wouldn’t have been able to manage her, let alone find the herbs while being distracted,"
After a moment, Chen Lin stood up and solemnly spoke to the few people in front of him.
From his words, they could sense the sincerity he conveyed. After all, Chen Jie was the person Chen Lin valued most, and such emotions were only natural.
"Elder, what are you talking about? You’ve also helped us a lot."
"And taught me the Cultivation Technique!"
"And chased away some scoundrels for me!"
Sun Tianming and the others spoke at length, also trying to comfort Chen Lin, while the only one who remained silent was Lin Chen.
He stood there with a serious expression, knowing Chen Lin’s words were not something he deserved. After all, this matter started because of him; if not for his reasons, Chen Jie wouldn’t have ended up like this.
If anyone should offer thanks, it should be Lin Chen thanking them, for it was their help that allowed Chen Jie to receive excellent care, enabling Lin Chen to search for herbs without concerns.
If Chen Jie hadn’t been cured, Lin Chen would have been burdened with an incessant sense of pressure.
However, Lin Chen ultimately didn’t voice these thoughts. He merely raised a cup of tea from the stone table, drank it in one gulp, using the clear tea instead of turbid wine, as if to toast everyone. Once he finished, he sat down.
The atmosphere became solemn in an instant, perhaps due to this reason, and everyone fell silent. When it comes to human connections, these things are hard to articulate clearly.
The moon, Yin Yue, hung high, casting its twilight that highlighted everyone waiting for Chen Jie to wake up. They occasionally glanced towards the house and sometimes lowered their heads, lost in thoughts.
"Water..."
After a long silence, from within the room where Chen Jie lay sleeping, a very faint sound suddenly emerged. Upon hearing this, those who had been sitting quietly here suddenly stood up with joy on their faces, exchanged glances, and then ran inside.
With a creaking sound, the door opened, and they squeezed into the room one by one. Using the light streaming in through the window lattice, they finally saw Chen Jie’s current state.
At that moment, Chen Jie lay on the bed, supporting herself on the side, as if trying to use that force to get up.
But for some reason, she seemed weak and feeble, unable to get up despite numerous attempts.
Seeing this, Lin Wan’er and Meng Shan hurriedly ran to her bedside and helped lift Chen Jie from the bed.
Meanwhile, Lin Chen had already poured some tea, handed it to Meng Shan, who then fed it to Chen Jie.
With a few glugs, the clear tea was quickly finished.
Yet Chen Jie seemed somewhat unsatisfied; she looked at everyone with her bright eyes.
...
After almost emptying the teapot, Chen Jie finally took a deep breath, a satisfied smile appearing on her face.
"How long have I slept?"
Sitting on the bed, Chen Jie lifted her eyes towards the tense people in front of her and asked.
"Not long, just about half a day or so,"
Chen Lin estimated aloud.
"Is that so?"
Chen Jie wrinkled her nose, looking somewhat puzzled, shaking her head slightly. Yet, with such a motion, there was a hint of soreness.
She slightly raised her somewhat recovered arm and gently massaged the area of pain.
Seeing this, Chen Lin couldn’t help but lower his eyelids lightly, covering his mouth to cough, because the spot Chen Jie was touching was precisely where Chen Lin had struck earlier.
In order to make the previous Chen Jie fall asleep, Chen Lin out of panic, used a bit of force. Whereas, in fact, aside from brute strength, there were other methods to help Chen Jie sleep deeply.
"I don’t know why, but I felt as if I slept for a long time,"
Chen Jie frowned and said.
"Your consciousness was damaged before, and perhaps it is now in the process of repairing,"
Upon hearing this, Chen Lin responded, having witnessed Liu Qinghan’s healing process earlier, he understood well.
After Liu Qinghan had completely purged the dark Evil Qi, the consciousness trapped within was liberated.
These liberated consciousnesses began to merge slowly with Chen Jie’s former consciousness, which required time to repair.
Now that Chen Jie had awakened, the two consciousnesses clearly hadn’t fully merged, which caused her to appear somewhat confused about the time.
"No worries, a little more sleep, and you’ll be fine,"
Chen Lin suggested, motioning for Meng Shan and Lin Wan’er to lay Chen Jie back down to rest. Currently, Chen Jie needed tranquility, not excessive disturbance.
"Alright."
Indeed feeling a bit drowsy, especially her head felt very heavy, along with a slight tingling sensation, Chen Jie lacked the energy and vitality.
Thus, she didn’t resist, lying back on the bed, not even saying goodbye to anyone.
After she closed her eyes, everyone quietly left the room, not lingering any longer.
Although they now stood outside the door, their mood was vastly improved from before, having seen Chen Jie had finally woken up.
Though she appeared fatigued, she had regained consciousness, allowing them to finally be at ease.
"Since Chen Jie is now alright, it’s time to say farewell,"
Sun Tianming cupped his fists towards everyone, and then prepared to leave.
Previously, on the battlefield, he had suffered the most severe injuries due to taking a heavy blow from that strange entity. Although he had somewhat recovered there, it was still an outside place, time was tight, and there was naturally no chance for a complete recovery.
Now, having settled Chen Jie’s situation, Sun Tianming naturally didn’t linger any longer. He needed to find a quiet place to rest properly.
"Go then,"
Chen Lin nodded, understanding Sun Tianming’s intentions. Now that Chen Jie was fine, Chen Lin did not want them to wait any longer, so he nodded in affirmation.
Upon Chen Lin’s nod, Sun Tianming departed.
Lin Chen did likewise, though he wasn’t returning to heal his injuries, but rather to inspect his internal condition. Given all that had transpired earlier, he couldn’t sit idly by.
