Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!
Chapter 1320: Fights for the first fruit.
The lost Elf of the Eternal Flame was carried away by his master. As a result, he won one of the three battles, receiving only the first bet.
"Elian," Saelis called out to the black—haired elf, Renar’s third disciple.
"Yes, Senior," — Elian replied, tidying up his dark gray robe and putting on his hood. Then he turned to Eulalia, Arabel, and Idan.:
"Watch carefully," he said, and jumped into the arena.
On a nearby table, Renard said in a low voice, "The root of the Rank 5 Fire Tree."
"Accepted," the elf’s master replied from the opposite side.
Renard, having approved the bet, nodded to Elian, giving permission to act.
Elian waved his hands, and two black daggers appeared in them.
His dark gray robe began to be enveloped in dark smoke.
"The Element of Darkness?" Eulalia asked, turning to Saelis.
"No, the Element of Shadow," she corrected.
"A shadow?" Idan and Arabel focused their attention on the arena.
Elian rushed forward.
His opponent cast a water spell, flooding the arena and creating an ice platform.
Before the water covered him, Elian dived into his shadow.
In the next instant, his opponent froze, and a dark figure emerged from her own shadow. Then she saw the tip of a dark dagger pointed at her forehead.
The blade stopped just as it touched her, and blood began to flow from the tiny cut.
It took her a few seconds to realize that she had lost. The attack was stopped by the arena. Otherwise, she would be dead.
"How fast!" exclaimed Arabel.
The first match was long, but this one ended as soon as it started. This once again demonstrated how great the difference in abilities and powers can be even within the same rank.
Elian’s second opponent was the Elf of the Heavenly Crown, whose representatives were distinguished by turquoise hair and skin tone.
This time, Elian did not manage to end the duel quickly. The Elf of the Heavenly Crown skillfully controlled the wind element and stayed in the air most of the time, avoiding contact with his shadow.
However, Elian possessed spells in his arsenal that could withstand such opponents, and in the end, he trapped his opponent with his shadows and emerged victorious, although he spent a lot of his strength.
Two victories, and Elian had only one left to receive the Fruit of the Foundation.
The third opponent was a representative of the Elves of the First Radiance, who possesses the element of Light. Her long straight white hair shimmered slightly, and her skin was snow-white and pure like marble, and her eyes shone with a golden light.
Pretty tired after the previous duel, Elian could not resist the one who could dispel his shadows.
In the end, he lost.
Elian returned to his seat and bowed his head in front of his two Seniors.
"I’m sorry, I was defeated," he said.
"You performed admirably, you were just unlucky with your opponents," Saelis shook her head.
"Senior is right, you defeated two opponents before you lost. The Master is pleased with you," said Renar’s second disciple.
Elian glanced at the next table and saw Renar nodding approvingly, and this allowed him to exhale with relief.
"The Shadow Element... That was cool!" said Idan, giving a thumbs up. Arabel nodded in agreement, supporting her husband.
Noticing that the younger ones were also amazed by his skill, Elian felt satisfied. He took his seat and began to observe the further development of events.
Lavena’s third student refused to participate, and her elders supported her. As for Eulalia, she only answered all the questions with a smile, glancing at Idan and Arabel.
The duel continued. The Elf of Eternal Twilight entered the arena to fight the Elf of the First Radiance.
His appearance was gloomy and mysterious: long black hair, dark eyes and ashen skin tone.
The clash of light and darkness.
In this confrontation, the darkness won.
After the victory of the Eternal Twilight Elf, Idan and Arabel doubted whether anyone could win three victories in a row.
But when a representative of the Stoneheart Elves entered the arena, everyone froze.
The faces of those present became focused.
Idan and Arabel stared intently at the young elf with brown hair, brown eyes, and sallow skin. He was thin and, surprisingly, wore round glasses.
"It’s Orwain," Weira whispered.
"Since he’s out, we can assume that one of the three fruits is already in his hands," Saelis added, to the surprise of Idan and Arabel.
"How powerful is he?" asked Eulalia.
Saelis laughed. "Powerful? He is a true monster standing on the threshold of the sixth rank, and, most notably, one of the lucky few who received the Seed of the law of the earth and laid his foundation while still at the Platinum rank."
Idan and Arabel exchanged surprised glances. They knew that the Seed of Law in Junonia was a rare find.
"To think that this inconspicuous elf has taken possession of the seed of the law," they thought.
Weira added: "Orwain has the strongest defense of all those present, and apart from the other two ’monsters’, hardly anyone will be able to break through it."
"I wouldn’t say so categorically," Eulalia said, smiling faintly.
"Huh?" Weira, Saelis, and the others looked at her, but Eulalia remained silent.
Meanwhile, Idan and Arabel were wondering about the strength of this Orwain’s defenses. Will they be able to break through?
However, they soon received an answer. After three fights, this Orwain didn’t even stagger.
Three opponents attempted to attack, but their blows could not overcome his defenses.
The first of the three fruits ended up in his hands.
However, to the great chagrin of most, Orwain, having taken possession of the fruit, casually threw it to one of his companions, as if it were an unnecessary thing.
There were only two Foundation fruits left, and Idan and Arabel were determined to get them.
Suddenly, Milica raised her hand and spoke before the next participants descended into the arena.
"How would you like to change the format? Make it more exciting and at the same time quickly resolve the issue of the owners of the remaining two fruits?" she asked.
Milica’s question aroused the interest of everyone present. Some already guessed what she wanted to offer.
"And what does the Grand Elder suggest?" The Princess asked.
"A two-on-two doubles match," — Milica said with a smile, glancing at Idan and Arabel. "I also want to nominate my two disciples as one of the first couples.
All eyes immediately turned to Idan and Arabel.
"Is she offering to exhibit her Platinum-ranked disciples? Is she kidding?" everyone thought.
But Milica wasn’t joking. She was absolutely serious.
