Supreme Sword Exalt
Chapter 467 - Fatty vs. Wu Xin
At a corner of the plaza, booming sounds came one after another. Wu Xin was pale, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, yet the madness in his eyes only grew stronger. Serene light spread all over him, tinged with a trace of strangeness. Opposite him, Fatty, Zuo Yang, and the others appeared grim, as if facing a great enemy.
Contrary to the expectations, Wu Xin’s injuries did not come from them, but from Mei Yun. Knowing Wu Xin, he would never hold back when striking. Nevertheless, when it came to dealing with someone like Wu Xin, Mei Yun was still out of his depth. Moreover, the more severely Wu Xin got hurt, the crazier and more bloodthirsty he became.
Afraid that others would be harmed, Zuo Yang had Yun Fan take them away first. Wu Xin didn’t care as he only had eyes for Fatty, feeling that they shared a special connection. Converting Fatty to demonhood was worth more than converting ten thousand people to Buddhahood.
He chanted a demonic mantra, “Demon compassion.”
His light grew nearly twice as intense, becoming increasingly sinister and strange, even taking on a faint bloody hue. It shifted and transformed into a zhang-high, six-armed vajra, wrapping him inside.
The vajra’s eyes blazed with fury. Compassion and wickedness coexisted in its gaze, extremely bizarre. “I will convert you to demonhood!”
Stomping hard, it approached Fatty at an unimaginable speed, smashing its staff down.
Fatty roared, “Golden Bell Shield!”
Golden light burst forth from him, transforming into an ancient golden bell that covered him.
The vajra staff collided with the ancient bell, sending out a golden ripple. Despite wavering endlessly, the ancient bell showed no signs of collapsing. The vajra's eyes grew bloodshot. Wu Xin pressed his palms together and recited demonic chants nonstop.
Fatty, ragged from the relentless assault, kept retreating. “Little baldy! Fucking hell! Why won’t you leave me alone?! There are so many people over there!”
The vajra staff fell again, and Wu Xin got excited. “Benefactor, you share the deepest fate with this demon!”
Fatty wanted to slap himself twice.
Although Fatty was shameless, Zuo Yang and the others wouldn’t just watch him get beaten. In an instant, a clear qi vortex, a knife, and a mysterious jade needle landed on the vajra.
The vajra stumbled as the vortex struck it squarely, leaving several cracks upon it. With a flash, a saber intent descended, severing two of its arms. The jade needle darted and weaved in succession, puncturing hole after hole. If the three of them joined forces, even Gu Han would suffer a considerable loss, forcing him to use his final means. How could Wu Xin be any different?
Wu Xin immediately spat out a mouthful of blood, his face like gold paper. However, the more blood he spat, the stronger the bloodthirstiness in his eyes became. The mouthful of blood also seeped into the vajra, deepening the bloody hue of its light.
Two grotesquely long horns sprouted from its head as it raised its four remaining arms. Blood light spread over the vajra staff as it slammed hard onto the golden bell. The strike was far more powerful than before.
The golden bell split apart on cue, scattering light all over the sky. Nevertheless, the recoil force was immense. Bit by bit, both the vajra’s four arms and lower half disintegrated, leaving only its upper half.
Fatty screamed miserably, coughing blood. He flew far through the air and crashed before Xiao Yang and the others. They were dumbfounded.
If they had intended to help before, seeing Wu Xin's ferocity and Zuo Yang's group's methods drove all such thoughts from their minds. Why did I stay? To die?
Fatty’s voice was barely a whisper, his face deathly pale. “You t-two... H-help me...”
The two snapped back to reality and exchanged a glance while gritting their teeth.
“Okay!”
“Brother Fu, heal yourself first!”
Their cultivation surged as they charged toward Wu Xin, who came at them relentlessly. The final dignity of the Ancient Cang Realm must not be lost!
Seeing the two charge out, Fatty nimbly scrambled up and fled into the distance, full of vigor. “Brothers Xiao and Hua, hold the line! I will go find that bastard for help! He’ll chop him dead with one sword!”
The two were completely shocked. Fuck! This fatty is so shameless!
Just then, Wu Xin arrived before them, his tone unspeakably wicked. “Two benefactors, become Buddha or become demon—the choice is yours.”
They exchanged a glance and shivered in fear. Just then, a sword chant and a phoenix cry rang out simultaneously, faintly mixed with a Buddhist chant. Gu Han, Feng Xi, and the young monk had arrived.
Gu Han’s voice followed. “Move aside!”
Xiao Yang absolutely refused to lose face before Feng Xi, so he declared with heroic spirit, “Brother Gu, let us fight side by side and take down this—AAH!”
The vajra grew another pair of arms and swung casually at him. Xiao Yang screamed miserably and flew straight out. Hua Xing ran even faster. Midair, Xiao Yang kept spitting blood, but he couldn’t care less. He turned around with difficulty and landed face down, too ashamed to show his face.
Then, Wu Xin fixed his gaze on Gu Han. The vajra had completely turned blood red. “Benefactor, it’s been ten years. Have you decided? Become a demon, or become Buddha?”
In response, a ten-plus-zhang-long, incomparably powerful sword aura and a several-zhang-long, breathtakingly beautiful heavenly phoenix came, decimating the vajra.
Wu Xin took a direct hit from Gu Han’s sword. With a clear cry, the heavenly phoenix spat down a mouthful of crimson flames, burning him black all over. The little monk’s breathing was barely audible.
As Wu Xin’s aura grew weaker, an ancient, evil will seemed to slowly awaken within him. Even though it was only a trace, everyone felt an irresistible sensation. It was cold, violent, and wicked. They could not sense a shred of humanity within that will. Even Feng Xi, who was at the Saint realm, appeared grim.
Wu Xin’s eyes had nearly turned pure black as his voice carried boundless antiquity and malice. “I am... the Demon Lord. I will convert you all to demonhood...”
The young monk’s expression changed drastically. “This isn’t good! That demon fetus is about to awaken!”
He pressed his palms together and silently chanted sutras. White light radiated from him, forming a swastika Buddhist seal that landed on Wu Xin. With his level of cultivation, his attempt appeared to have been in vain.
Gu Han’s heart tightened. He remembered Yan Qianjue saying that killing Wu Xin would have even worse consequences. Now it seemed that was indeed the case.
Wu Xin was about to strike when he screamed miserably. A serene, grand light surged from within him, countless times stronger than that swastika Buddhist seal. It enveloped him, snuffing out the ancient will. Though his eyes regained clarity, he obviously wouldn’t recover any time soon.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. From what they had just seen, Wu Xin probably concealed something terrifying. It was obvious what would happen if that thing escaped.
