Supreme Sword Exalt
Chapter 504 - Fighting Yun Tu!
Despite the barrage of attacks, Yun Tu did not panic. A flicker of coldness passed through his eyes. “Blaspheming my god, your sin is unforgivable!”
As his divine power went berserk, a layer of red divine power coiled around him like mist. Although far from being as overbearing as Pi Luo’s divine power, it still stopped the momentum of the three.
With a sneer, Yun Tu’s three arms shot out. “A bunch of mayflies trying to topple a tree! You’re overestimating yourselves!”
A series of booming noises resounded. Each of Yun Tu’s arms caught Gu Han’s sword aura, blocked the five-colored divine flame, and slammed down heavily onto the heavenly phoenix.
In the blink of an eye, Feng Xi’s heavenly phoenix dispersed once more, and she flew out again. Gu Han’s sword aura shattered. As for Chongming, he was now firmly clutched in Yun Tu’s grip.
Gu Han roared as killing intent surged endlessly within him, “Kill!”
As his voice trailed off, the red sword aura crumbled on its own. Yet instead of dissipating, it transformed into a hundred and eight sword auras, each over a zhang long. With a soft hum, they twisted and slashed toward Yun Tu once more.
Yun Tu’s gaze flickered. “A sword formation? Interesting!”
Divine power surged out, forming a barrier around him, once again blocking the sword auras. With the divine power vibrating, the massive hand gripping Chongming clenched even tighter. A series of explosive sounds rang out as the rooster’s divine light flickered before being crushed to pieces.
Yun Tu frowned slightly. Chongming was far tougher than he had imagined. The rooster hadn’t suffered the slightest damage even under such immense force.
“You damn rooster, you do have some skill!”
Chongming’s somewhat weak yet furious voice came again. “The Immovable Great Might!”
Having shaken Yun Tu’s fingers loose for a moment, Chongming seized the chance to escape. Colorful light wheels swirled around him, transforming into a sky full of divine swords that rained down on Yun Tu.
Yun Tu laughed heartily. “Not bad! But it’s useless against me. With the Divine King present, I am invincible—”
Just then, he felt an overwhelming sense of danger. When he shifted his gaze, he saw that Gu Han’s overbearing and unmatched saint might had disappeared. Gu Han lacked any imposing aura, his eyes devoid of killing intent. Nevertheless, Yun Tu found this version of Gu Han the most unnerving. He instinctively wanted to retreat.
In the next moment, Gu Han swung his sword. This strike appeared unremarkable, as if devoid of any power. Faintly, countless specks of starlight clung to it—ordinary but carrying a faint trace of lofty profundity. Suddenly, the blade turned, stabbing straight toward Yun Tu’s brow.
Yun Tu narrowed his eyes as he was a cautious man. Although he couldn’t discern the deadliness of this strike, he still raised one of his arms to block it. Although formed through divine power and possessing the traits of a divine body, that arm was as fragile as rotten wood before this sword. Yun Tu’s arm was severed cleanly at the elbow. He cried in pain as blood sprayed and splattered down.
Gu Han remained calm. The sword did not stop as its tip still pointed straight at Yun Tu’s brow.
Yun Tu’s composure was gone. “Gu... Han!”
With a furious roar, divine power surged as he struck toward Gu Han. Just then, a phoenix cry rang out once more. A heavenly phoenix over ten zhang long, wobbling unsteadily, had somehow appeared beside him again. With hatred blazing in its eyes, a mass of divine flame descended once more.
Even though the divine flame was small, it grew with the wind, latching onto one of Yun Tu’s arms. His flesh peeled away layer by layer, turning to ash. However, what posed the greatest threat to Yun Tu was Gu Han’s seemingly ordinary sword.
Setting aside Chongming, though Gu Han and Feng Xi were only at the Saint realm, they were no ordinary prodigies. Their combat strength could never be measured by the Saint realm alone. Coupled with Chongming, even an ordinary Feather Transformation realm cultivator would be blasted apart in an instant.
Yun Tu no longer underestimated them. “Die!”
He was also a decisive man. His sole remaining arm tossed Chongming aside and smashed down fiercely onto Gu Han. Space trembled. Gu Han took the blow head-on and coughed up a mouthful of blood. In that instant of flight, his sword left his hand, controlled only by his will.
As divine power surged, a soft sound rang out. Right when the sword was about to pierce Yun Tu’s brow, the divine power surging around him deflected it, shifting its direction. Knocked aside, the sword landed diagonally. The battlefield fell silent. Gu Han, Feng Xi, and Chongming were severely injured, temporarily incapacitated.
In the silence, the faint sound of liquid dripping could be heard. On Yun Tu’s face, a gash deep enough to reveal bone had appeared. Blood flowed ceaselessly down, and his gaze grew increasingly cold.
That was so close! If he had hesitated even a moment just now, or faltered for even a second, the wound would have appeared between his brow.
He stared fixedly at Gu Han in the distance. “No wonder Yun Ao holds you in such high regard. In my opinion, he still underestimated you! Hehe...”
Blood trickled past his lips as he stuck out his tongue and licked it, breaking into a smile. “But then, killing someone like you is what gives me a sense of achievement!”
The vertical eye on his brow opened once more. Endless divine power condensed, and a red beam carrying a faint hint of destruction descended. “Divine punishment!”
Gu Han couldn’t dodge it. Although he had already swallowed a large amount of Transcendent Substance upon landing, he couldn’t recover so quickly in such a short time.
The red beam reached Gu Han. At that moment, Gu Han’s fingers moved. With a soft hum, the sword flew up and landed back in his hand, narrowly blocking the red beam. With a bang, he was sent flying once more. Even though he had relied on the sword’s hardness to block the light, a small portion of its power still struck him. Even his divine soul had suffered considerable damage.
“Go...”
The moment he landed, the sprout within his consciousness gently shook its leaves again. Light flickered, transforming into the Mortal World Intent. The sword pierced through the air, vowing not to stop until it killed Yun Tu.
