Chapter 26: 26 - We Meet Again

Looking at the young man standing in front of them with his eyes narrowed in a smile, Pip and Bob’s hearts raced. They felt like their entire understanding of this world had been turned upside down. The knowledge they had learned over the years suddenly seemed completely meaningless.

Swordsmen were nothing more than a choice for people who couldn’t become mages. Calling them inferior would be a bit too much, but compared to mages, that was indeed the case.

A mage’s physique was much stronger than that of an ordinary person, but they couldn’t keep up with the speed King had just displayed at all.

The more arrogant they had been just now, the more terrified their faces became.

"How... how is this possible?!"

The more confident Bob had been just now, the more he stammered now. His chubby face was now scrunched up from fear, looking incredibly ugly.

Pip’s mood wasn’t any better. A mage without a wand was no different from crippling their own abilities. Even though their physiques were strong, mages like them looked down on martial arts training, so hardly any of them knew it.

"Lord, we were blind and failed to see the true greatness. We offended you just now because we were foolish."

Bob was a little slow, but Pip was much quicker. He immediately flattered King and then slapped himself twice in the face. The two slaps were so hard that they made his own mouth bleed.

His actions surprised both Bob and King. Before King could say anything, Bob stared at Pip with his eyes wide open.

"What the hell are you doing? He’s just a swordsman..."

Before Bob could finish speaking, Pip slapped him hard across the face, knocking him to the ground. The powerful slap knocked several of Bob’s teeth out.

"Idiot! You still haven’t seen the greatness of this lord?"

His teammate’s stupidity made Pip curse loudly. The difference in strength between the two sides was already this huge, yet he still dared to treat King like an ordinary swordsman? Even if Bob wanted to die, Pip didn’t!

This unexpected performance of them beating each other up left King stunned for several seconds before he burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha... very smart."

I thought these were just two stupid minor villains, but it seems one of them isn’t that stupid. At least compared to Elias and Bob’s performance, Pip was a genius.

"Lord, you’re flattering me. How could my little bit of intelligence possibly compare to your greatness? Being able to make you happy is my honor."

Even though he had just slapped himself until his mouth was bleeding, Pip still forced out a very fake smile. His hands rubbed together, creating an extremely pathetic and fawning appearance.

King had originally planned to try out a divine skill and finish things quickly, but it seemed like he should play with these two minor villains for a while.

The system hadn’t given him any notification, so Elias probably hadn’t run into any trouble yet. There was still plenty of time, so there was no harm in enjoying himself a little.

"Oh, so as long as I am happy, you’ll do anything?"

"Yes... yes..."

King’s smile was like a devil’s, making Pip swallow hard. He was so scared that he couldn’t even speak clearly anymore.

Just when Pip needed his teammate the most, Bob played dead. Bob’s mind might be a little slower, but he wasn’t so slow that he still couldn’t understand the situation by now.

Since Pip was so smart, Bob simply played dead and left the entire ’stage’ for Pip to perform on.

"Very good. Then kill yourself. If you kill yourself, I’ll let that fat guy pretending to be dead off."

King’s hand gently patted Pip’s shoulder, but Pip felt pressure like a mountain was crushing down on him. His expression made the smile on King’s face grow brighter and brighter.

So playing with villains was this fun. I should do this more often in the future. It’s just a shame that in that other world, I still haven’t seen a villain worth anything.

Thinking about the world of the novel King had transmigrated into, he felt a little disappointed. Other than monsters, neither the protagonist nor the villains had appeared yet, so it really was a little boring.

"What?!!"

Pip’s face turned deathly pale from fear. He had to restrain himself with all his might to keep from screaming straight into King’s face over this ridiculous demand.

The ’wonderful’ teammate who had seemed incredibly close to him no longer played dead. Even though he was fatter than a pig, Bob was able to jump back up with an extremely agile movement.

"Brother, I’ll take good care of your belongings. I’ll treat your girlfriend like she’s my girlfriend too. Just die in peace. I’ll prepare a really nice grave for you."

One of Bob’s hands rested on Pip’s shoulder while his other hand gave a thumbs-up as encouragement for his good friend. Even though he was trying very hard to hold it back, the corners of Bob’s mouth still couldn’t help curling up slightly.

Bob remembered that he had apparently stepped out of his house with his left foot today. So that’s why stepping out with the left foot brought such good luck. From now on, if he stepped out with his left foot every day, he would definitely live longer than a turtle.

"You bastard! I treat you like a brother, and you want to sleep with my girlfriend?"

Pip’s face turned bright red with anger. It would have been strange if he could still hold back after Bob went that far.

Since he was going to be killed by King or forced to kill himself anyway, Pip wanted to beat Bob to death before he died so Bob couldn’t enjoy such an unfair benefit.

And so these two ’talented’ mages threw themselves into a chaotic fistfight. Their movements looked even worse than a bunch of delinquent students because they had never actually fought without using magic.

This clumsy performance that revealed the ugly side of human nature made King find it incredibly funny. What could be more entertaining than watching villains turn against each other and tear each other apart?

After watching the two of them punch and kick each other until their teeth were scattered all over the ground and their faces were covered in blood, King finally burst out laughing.

"Hahahaha... Enough. You two are too funny. Get lost. If I see you again next time, you’re definitely dead."

Pip and Bob were still beating each other bloody, but the moment they heard King laugh, they immediately stopped. Without saying a word, they both ran for their lives.

But before they could take ten steps, King’s figure suddenly appeared in front of them. A very ’friendly’ smile was on King’s face.

"Hi. We meet again."
