Chapter 6 - 06 - Struggle in the Air

The difference in rank was too great, so King had no way to keep up with Iris’s movements if she deliberately moved out of his sight.

The feeling of helplessness before these ’few lines of text’ made King feel like he was about to go insane. An existence as superior as him could never accept a character in a novel treating him like a plaything.

King did not even have time to react before Iris grabbed his clothes and took him flying into the sky once again.

"You... Um..."

King had just opened his mouth to curse at her when Iris quickly shoved her entire hand into his mouth, making him mumble incoherently and unable to speak.

His face flushed bright red from embarrassment. A reader losing so miserably to a character like this was simply unacceptable.

"Haha, weren’t you talking big just now? We meet again. Why haven’t you stomped me under your feet yet?"

Teasing an arrogant brat made Iris laugh. Although her method of testing him was very problematic, she had already determined that King was not a monster disguised as a human.

Something like possession and reincarnation similar to hers was not something she cared about at all. As long as King was not a monster, she would not kill him.

Being mocked like this made the veins on King’s forehead twitch nonstop. He immediately transformed into a Heavenly Dao Swordsman.

Things had already come to this point, so if he did not fight back, he would be a coward. Even if he could not win, he would go all out against her and stop hiding his cards.

The Heavenly Dao Sword was immediately activated when King was about to unleash a divine skill, but Iris’s legs quickly clamped King’s arm down, making him unable to attack.

The difference in strength was too great, making his arm completely unable to move and infuriating him to the point where he wanted to grind his teeth.

But now he could not even grind his teeth because Iris’s hand was stuck in his mouth. He really wanted to bite her hand off, but there was spiritual power around her hand forming an extremely hard shield. If he stubbornly bit down, his teeth would break.

"Hehe, you look pretty handsome after transforming, huh? Your strength increased too. Calling you a ’monster’ still feels far from enough."

Iris laughed and used her other hand to pinch King’s cheek. Her eyes stared straight into his.

There were some patterns or something in King’s eyes that were very hard to explain, and just looking at them made her feel dizzy.

Hmph, I wasn’t planning to play dirty, but you forced me into this. If I don’t get revenge for this grudge, then I’m not a true reader!

With the mindset of a reader who could never lose to a character in a novel, King used the only arm that could still move to ’attack’.

More specifically, he swung his hand and squeezed her chest hard, hoping that he could hurt her. But the moment he squeezed, that soft feeling made it impossible for him to be ruthless.

After all, King was still just a guy who had been single for many years. He had never even held a girl’s hand, so how could he have done something like this?

Even though he really did see Iris as just a character in a novel, the feeling in his hand was incredibly real.

Iris was laughing when she suddenly fell silent. Her face quickly turned red, though she did not know whether it was from anger or embarrassment.

She was also extremely arrogant, so when she was playing around with King just now, she had forgotten to defend herself. After all, she never thought King would pull such a dirty move. Otherwise, she would have prepared for it beforehand.

"You bastard! What are you doing?"

Iris gritted her teeth and shouted straight into King’s face. She did not bother to knock King’s hand away and instead grabbed his neck with her hand.

"Talk! Otherwise I’ll strangle you to death!"

King did not expect her to actually squeeze. His neck made a cracking sound, making his eyes widen in pain.

He was still not too familiar with controlling his Heavenly Dao Swordsman transformation, so he had returned to his original form.

A rank III facing a rank VI obviously could not withstand even one hit. King was still alive because Iris had already held back.

Even though she had a hot temper and was arrogant, as a high-ranking member of the Cultivation Academy, she had to think for the sake of humanity.

King’s value was too great. If he died, it would be a huge loss for humanity.

Moreover, considering what he had done to her, killing him would be letting him off far too easily. King was the first person who had ever dared to squeeze her chest, so he should not expect her to let it go that easily.

[Master! Do you need me to help you escape?]

Escape? No way! Running away from a character in a novel would be an insult to a reader like me.

Even though Iris had squeezed him to the point that his neck almost broke, King’s thoughts remained extremely firm. The thought of surrendering had never appeared, not even for a second.

Only after she loosened her grip and removed the hand she had shoved into King’s mouth earlier did he finally get a chance to speak. But the moment he opened his mouth, he cursed without the slightest fear.

"You bitch! You squeezed my neck and shoved your entire hand into my mouth, so how was I supposed to talk? I was just squeezing your chest. If you have the guts, kill me."

As he spoke, King squeezed even harder, his hand becoming stronger and stronger. But this time Iris immediately used her spiritual power to protect herself, making King feel like he was squeezing a piece of iron instead.

"Hmph, let go and let’s talk properly."

In this whole mess, who was right and who was wrong? If you asked who started it, it was Iris. But if you asked who was at fault, the answer was both of them.

King was very unhappy about having to compromise with a character in a novel, but he could not beat her, so he could only grit his teeth and accept it.

"What do you want?"

Now that they were no longer struggling, King could finally stand straight on the flying sword. The moment he stood up, he tried to straighten his back, but then he immediately became disappointed.

He had thought he could use his height to act arrogantly in front of Iris, but annoyingly, she was just as tall as him.

"I want you to become my disciple."

"What the hell?! Are you messing with me? You want to be my master just because of you? Someone as lowly as you has the right?"

The moment he heard that, King immediately blew up. A character in a novel actually wanted a status higher than a reader like him? Unacceptable!

Seeing how stubborn King was, Iris was also very annoyed. She did not bother standing on the flying sword anymore and instead floated in the air on her own while holding the sword in her hand.

Her other hand grabbed King by the collar. The cold wind high in the sky kept blowing fiercely, making King feel like he had transmigrated into this world less than an hour ago and was already about to be sent back home.
