Supreme Swordsman System
Chapter 87 Flat Sea
As one of the first humans to reach rank VI, Mateo was very confident in the sharpness of his senses and perceptions.
But when faced with a completely invisible system that had no effect on the physical world or energy, he couldn’t detect the slightest trace of it.
“Mm, looks like I’ve got something more interesting to do now. Another mission to another world. This place is called Flat Sea, so I guess I’ll go swimming at the beach this time.”
According to the system notification, there was clearly a protagonist facing a life-threatening situation.
With a situation like this, the fact that King could only think about going to the beach made it clear that he had created an enormous gap between himself and the other worlds in his own mind.
“Are you kidding me? You disappeared for two months, and after coming back for three days, you already want to disappear again? Wait, has it even been three days yet?”
While eating, Iris stopped. She suddenly felt like cursing when she thought about everything King had done.
She had brought him to her house, but in the end, he had only stayed at her house with her for… one hour (rounded up).
The time he spent with Valentina doing perverted things was dozens of times longer. He had also spent more time at the library and the restaurant…
“What do you mean, disappear? I’m going on a trip. I suggest you use the right words. Besides, I’ll return to the same place I left from, so you don’t need to go through the trouble of looking for me.”
Seeing that something seemed off about Iris’s expression, King didn’t care. He had the right to do whatever he wanted.
A ‘mediocre’ novel character like her had no right to express any opinions about this.
“You still dare argue with me? I have enough time to give you two black eyes before you disappear. Then you’ll get to be a panda in another world.”
Already in a bad mood, Iris was met with King’s provocative attitude, so she angrily raised her fist to threaten him.
These few words weren’t enough to scare King. They only annoyed him instead. Just as he was about to argue with her, the system shouted inside his head.
[Master! Hurry up!]
[If you’re late, that protagonist will really be done for. If that happens, you won’t be able to visit this world again.]
“Tsk, got it, got it.”
King clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes as he looked around, but he couldn’t find any windows nearby for him to jump out of quickly.
Seeing him look around aimlessly, Mateo pointed straight up at the ceiling.
“The window is up there. If you want to fly out, go ahead.”
“I’d really like to go to London with you, but it looks like I can’t right now. Maybe another time.”
King had a pretty good impression of Mateo, so he still gave him a proper farewell before leaving.
As soon as he finished speaking, he was about to take the Heavenly Dao Sword out of the system inventory when Iris grabbed his hand at some point.
“Hold on tight. You fly too slowly.”
“Huh???”
Before King could say anything, she immediately accelerated. She didn’t start off too fast, but after leaving the restaurant, her speed skyrocketed, creating a sonic boom.
“So I’ve been left all alone. What a shame, I thought I’d have someone to hang out with today. That system really is blind. Why did it have to assign the mission at a time like this?”
Mateo felt a little disappointed when he saw the two of them leave. Since he was on vacation, he just wanted to have some fun. The more people he got along with who could hang out with him, the more fun it would be.
“Hmm… Decided. I’m not going to London anymore. I’ll go to the beach tonight. I’m the sun, so it makes no difference whether it’s night or day.”
Thinking about the place King had called Flat Sea, Mateo suddenly felt like going to the beach to have some fun too…
Iris’s flying speed was incredibly high. It only took a few seconds for them to reach her house. At this speed, her clothes and glasses should have been torn to pieces, but they remained completely intact.
Everything had happened very quickly just now, but King was still holding Iris’s hand tightly. Perhaps it had started as a natural bodily reflex, but even after they got home, he still hadn’t let go.
“Did you use spiritual power to block the wind just now?”
Just a few short seconds had been enough for King to figure out the little trick Iris had just used. This didn’t seem too difficult either.
“That’s right. It’s like when you’re sitting on a plane. The wind outside is very strong, but it can’t hit your body directly.”
“This doesn’t seem too difficult. It protects not only your clothes but also your hairstyle. In the future, if I ever get an elaborate hairstyle, I won’t have to worry about it when flying at high speeds.”
Having just learned a new little trick, King immediately thought about showing off. After all, flying fast only to end up with messy hair didn’t look cool at all.
“Do you like holding my hand that much? Why haven’t you let go yet?”
While he was thinking about how to fly in a really cool way when appearing in Flat Sea, Iris asked a question that hit him like a hammer, leaving him stunned for several seconds.
“I… I don’t! Don’t you dare make up lies about me. You’re the one holding my hand and refusing to let go, not me!”
King immediately yanked his hand back and spoke extremely fast.
“Pfft hahaha, why are you so eager to explain yourself? Wasn’t I the one who told you to hold my hand in the first place?”
Looking at King’s utterly silly, flustered appearance, Iris immediately burst out laughing.
Teasing him really was easy. Just a few casual words were enough to turn his thoughts into a complete mess for several seconds.
“You… Hmph!”
Seeing her make fun of him, King angrily walked into the house. He had a mission to handle right now and no time to argue with her.
Yes, that was the reason. It definitely wasn’t because he was so angry that he couldn’t even find the words to speak.
Although he acted annoyed, King went straight into Iris’s room as soon as he entered the house.
Living with someone who never bothered to lock her door, like her, really was convenient. If he wanted to enter, he could just walk right in.
[Master, hurry up. If you delay any longer, I have no idea what might happen.]
The system spoke anxiously. It didn’t even give King a chance to change his clothes.
“Shut up. If he were that easy to kill, he wouldn’t be the protagonist.”
