Chapter 2838 - 2838: Secret Technique from a Previous Life

Su Yang and his group crushed everything along the way, wiping out roughly half of the Guardian Gods in the Guardian Land.

The other half were relatively far from here and managed to keep their lives by sheer luck.

Su Yang and the others had to pursue the First God and the others, and simply didn't have the time to slaughter that many people.

Those Guardian Gods who had survived by luck didn't dare linger in the Guardian Land any longer and all fled out of it.

They knew very well that without the protection of the Strongest, there was no way they could escape the slaughter at the hands of the Human Clan's Strongest.

But if they all gathered in the Guardian Land, they would only die faster. Scattering across various places in the Three Thousand Great Worlds, even if the Human Clan's Strongest wanted to exterminate them, they'd have to spend a lot more effort and time.

Though doing this didn't mean much in the grand scheme, it at least let them live a bit longer.

These Guardian Gods no longer had any hope. The Guardian Gods' Strongest had all fled, and the Heavenly Venerables weren't showing their faces; they had been completely abandoned!

Su Yang and the others paid no attention to these Guardian Gods, and instead kept relentlessly pursuing the First God and the others.

The Guardian Gods' Strongest had gotten smarter too. After running for a while, they split up and began fleeing separately.

After all, the Guardian Gods' Strongest outnumbered the Human side by several times. If they really scattered, even if the Humans wanted to pursue, they wouldn't have enough manpower, and some people were bound to escape.

However, things didn't go the way they had expected.

Once they scattered, the Humans did not split up. Instead, they all focused on chasing the First God, biting down on him and refusing to let go.

This was something the First God had never imagined. With so many people on his tail trying to kill him, he was practically coughing up blood. Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that being the first to run would put him in this situation, becoming the sole target.

Faced with this, the First God didn't dare delay in the slightest; he constantly accelerated his escape, not daring to hesitate even for a fraction of a second. After all, the Human Clan's Strongest behind him were terrifyingly powerful. If they caught up and that many people ganged up on him alone, wouldn't he be finished?

If both father and son were beaten down and fell in realm, they would be utterly doomed!

From one Great World to another, the First God ran through all of the Three Thousand Great Worlds. Into Chaos, out of Chaos, entering this Great World, heading to that Great World—he used every method he could think of, yet still couldn't shake off the Human Clan's Strongest behind him.

On the contrary, the distance between him and Su Yang and the Heaven Slayer was gradually shrinking, pushing him closer to a mental breakdown.

The Heaven Slayer needed no mention; he had always been the number one among the Strongest. If not for that incident in the black hole, where he destroyed the Illusion he had cultivated for hundreds of thousands of years along with the Heaven-Slaying Blade, his power would only have been even greater.

As for Su Yang, he had only just advanced into the realm of the Strongest, yet his power was already on par with the Heaven Slayer? Who was he supposed to complain to about that?

In truth, the First God's assessment of Su Yang was off.

After losing his Illusion and the Heaven-Slaying Blade, the Heaven Slayer's power was actually slightly weaker than Su Yang's.

The reason Su Yang's speed was only on par with the Heaven Slayer's was because that earlier strike had consumed too much of his power.

Flying alongside Su Yangfei, the Heaven Slayer gave chase while laughing, "Su Alliance Leader, that strike of yours just now was seriously powerful. What Secret Technique was that?"

Su Yang shrugged. "I don't know what Secret Technique it is either. I just suddenly thought of that move, as if it was hidden deep in my memories. It might be a Secret Technique from my previous life."

"Previous life?" The Heaven Slayer was astonished. "A Secret Technique you cultivated in the previous World Tree era?"

"It should be." Su Yang nodded.

Recalling the power of that earlier strike, the Heaven Slayer couldn't help but sigh, "The Secret Techniques from your previous life are really no joke!"

"The pity is, I don't remember much." Su Yang sighed.

The Heaven Slayer said, "You haven't fully recovered your memories from your previous life yet. Once you retrieve them, you'll be able to recall those Secret Techniques!"

"Let's hope so." Su Yang let out a breath. He knew the Heaven Slayer was trying to comfort him. Recovering one's memories from a previous life—how easy was that?

Just then, the First God up ahead seemed to finally lose it and cursed, "Su Yang, Heaven Slayer, what's the point of you two chasing only me? Am I the only Guardian God? Why don't you chase others and only go after me? Do I look that easy to bully?"

Hearing this, all the Human Clan's Strongest burst out laughing. The First God's words were dripping with resentment.

"Ever heard the saying 'the gun shoots the bird that sticks its head out'?" the Heaven Slayer called out loudly. "Everything was orchestrated by you. And everything was led by you. If we don't chase you, who should we chase?"

"You…" The First God was instantly at a loss for words, and after a long while he finally snapped, "But you don't need this many people to chase just me! You… you're going too far, bullying me like this!"

"Nonsense, we're not idiots. You have numbers on your side, we don't. If we split up, we won't be able to chase that many of you. And we might even get picked off one by one if your people coordinate!" The Taoist Venerable said, "Since that's the case, why would we split up? Once we take you down, we can go deal with the other Guardian Gods, one by one. If we don't scatter, we can pick you off one by one. If we do scatter, we might get picked off by you one by one. Tell me, which choice should we make?"

"You…" The First God was so furious he almost spat blood. The Taoist Venerable's words nearly made him vomit blood on the spot.

If he had known it would turn out like this, he never should have yelled for everyone to run. Now look—everyone else had run off, leaving him alone to be hunted with nowhere to run, like a stray dog, fleeing for his life in utter panic.

"First God, if you really don't want to run anymore, you can stop!" The Human Emperor laughed. "Let us kill you and you'll suffer less."

The Taoist Venerable laughed heartily. "Yeah, we've gotten pretty slick at killing lately. We'll definitely make it quick for you. If you keep running like this, we'll catch up sooner or later. Dying in agony later—now that would be uncomfortable."

The First God was enraged to the extreme and roared, "Kill me? In your dreams!"

"You're the one who's dreaming if you think you'll live," the Heaven Slayer said coldly. "All the other Guardian Gods' Strongest are hiding from you now. The Three Thousand Great Worlds are only so big—where exactly do you think you can run?"

"I… I…" The First God's face twisted with rage, yet he couldn't utter a word.

Just as the Heaven Slayer had said, he truly had nowhere left to run.

At that moment, the First God suddenly felt waves of power ripples emanating from the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet.

He couldn't help feeling stunned. The power of the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet had to be invoked to manifest, just like the Earth Principle. Now that the Heavenly Dao Stone Tablet's power was surging on its own, what was going on?
