From within the blood mist, the voice of a demonic sect disciple rang out, carrying undisguised mockery.

"Oh, over a hundred people, and this is all left? Where are your experts? Did they run away?"

Another voice chimed in, its tone even more flippant.

"Run? Where do you think you're going? You've already been chopped into mincemeat by our senior disciples! You bunch of small fry, just wait to die today!"

"Haha, did your lord run away early too?"

Zhou Lie didn't reply; he glanced at the remaining sixteen people around him.

Everyone's face was covered in blood, and everyone's eyes were filled with exhaustion. Some people were supporting each other and barely managing to stand, while others were leaning against tree stumps, panting.

"Am I going to die?" a young martial artist gasped, his voice trembling.

"What's there to be afraid of?" An old soldier grinned, blood seeping from his teeth. "They can come back to life! The centurion said so!"

Zhou Lie wiped the blood from his face, pulled his gaze from the fog, and looked at the brothers around him.

He took a deep breath: "Listen carefully, we Qingyang Guards have no cowards; we'll die charging into battle."

"Yes!" The veteran was the first to respond.

"I'll take someone down with me even if I die!" the young martial artist shouted, his voice still trembling, but with a newfound ferocity.

Thirty meters away, in the blood mist, the jeers of the Demonic Sect disciples gradually subsided.

They probably felt that toying with a group of dying people was no longer interesting.

A demonic sect disciple who appeared to be the leader waved his hand, speaking in a lazy tone.

"Alright, stop wasting time with them. Send the puppets in and clean them up. We still need to continue our advance westward."

The Bloodthorn golems moved again, pressing in from all sides.

But at that moment...

boom!!!

A deafening roar, like a thunderclap, shook the entire ground.

A figure descended from the sky and crashed heavily into the horde of blood puppets.

He was a third-tier strength-type awakener, broad-shouldered and muscular, wielding a giant hammer the size of a door in both hands.

The moment he landed, a shockwave exploded along the ground, sending the two nearest rows of Bloodthorn golems flying into the air.

"Get the hell out of my way!"

With a roar, he swung his giant hammer, the hammerhead drawing a purple arc.

It slammed into the three puppets on the left, and the three two-meter-tall bodies were thrown out like by a catapult, knocking down an entire area behind them.

With a backhand strike, he smashed the two puppets that had lunged at him from the right into the mud, their chests caved in and their eyes extinguished.

"This damned sacred land is fucking disgusting!" he cursed as he hit the boy.

"Even in death, they can't rest in peace; they get up and keep biting people, like zombies! I hate these kinds of things the most!"

A disciple of the Demonic Sect attacked him from behind, delivering a bone-crushing whip kick aimed at his back with hidden force.

Without turning his head, the Hammer Awakener swung his hammer backhand, the hammerhead striking the man precisely in the chest.

"Snap!"

The sound of the sternum cracking was crisp and piercing.

The demonic sect disciple flew out like a kite with a broken string, crashing into a bloodthorn tree. The tree trunk broke, and the man fell silent.

"Damn it! Where's my senior brother?!" Another disciple of the Demonic Sect turned pale and howled as he backed away.

"Weren't they supposed to be being held back? How did this thing get here?!"

No one answered him.

The demonic sect disciple continued to retreat, his face growing increasingly terrified.

He kept looking back, as if waiting for someone to rush out of the blood mist to save them.

But there was nothing in the blood mist.

Unbeknownst to him, the mid-to-high-level combatants of the Demonic Sect on the eastern battlefield were being relentlessly killed by someone.

Lin Feng was like a sharp knife, cutting his way from the front of the eastern battlefield to its deepest point, leaving his mark wherever he went.

The Five Soul Blood Puppets fell in droves, and the Grandmasters of the Azure Blood Sect perished one after another. All the high-level combatants who could spare the time were held back by him alone.

Nobody paid attention to the battlefield here.

This freed up the Hammer Awakeners to support other areas struggling in battle.

The Hammer Awakener kicked the Bloodthorn Golem in front of him over, grinned, and revealed a set of white teeth.

"Stop yelling, no one will come to save you even if you yell your lungs out."

He gripped the hammer with both hands, raising it high above his head, and the purple patterns on the hammer suddenly lit up—【Earth-Splitting Hammer】!

The giant hammer slammed into the ground.

A circular shockwave exploded outward from him, and within a radius of fifteen meters, all the Bloodthorn puppets were thrown into the air, and the Demon Sect disciples were sent flying backward, spitting out blood.

He didn't stop. Using the recoil from the hammer hitting the ground, he sprang up and charged forward—【Giant Hammer Charge】!

He crashed into the enemy ranks like a purple cannonball, smashing the puppets in his path to pieces.

The Hammer Awakener landed, twisted his hands, and held the giant hammer horizontally to his side, then began to spin—【Whirlwind Hammer】!

The giant hammer transformed into a purple whirlwind, expanding outwards from him.

Within an eight-meter radius, everything caught in the blast was struck repeatedly within three seconds. The Bloodthorn Puppet was smashed to pieces, and the Demon Sect disciples were sent flying.

Three seconds later, the whirlwind stopped.

The Awakened One stood still, his giant hammer resting on the ground, its head stained with dark red blood.

Within a twenty-meter radius of him, there was not a single enemy still standing.

He shook the debris off his hammer, glanced around to make sure nothing could get up, and then turned and rushed to the next battlefield.

"There are more over there, I'm going to smash another batch!"

The figure quickly disappeared into the blood mist.

The remaining Qingyang Acquired Martial Artists, including Zhou Lie, number seventeen in total.

They stared blankly at the departing figure of the Giant Hammer Awakener, then looked at the blood puppet corpses scattered all around them.

A young warrior's throat bobbed, his voice trembling: "Centurion...should we still charge?"

Zhou Lie did not answer immediately.

He glanced down at himself; his health bar was down to less than 20%.

He looked up at the direction where the Giant Hammer Awakener had disappeared, and suddenly laughed.

His teeth were full of blood, and his smile looked somewhat ferocious.

"rush!"

"Anyway, you can be resurrected after you die, so what's there to be afraid of?"

An old soldier straightened up and said, "The centurion is right. Killing one is enough, killing two is a bonus."

“I killed three,” a young man nearby said in a muffled voice.

"You're bragging."

"Mind your own business, I'll brag if I want."

Several people burst out laughing.

The laughter was soft, hoarse, and short, but amidst the corpses and blood mist scattered on the ground, it inexplicably brought a sense of calm.

Zhou Lie poured the last bit of Qingyang True Qi into the Crimson Sun Gauntlet, and the remaining Golden Sun Emblem on the gauntlet lit up with a faint crimson light.

"Qingyang Guard!"

"exist!"

Sixteen people responded simultaneously.

"Walk."

Seventeen battered figures rushed into the depths of the blood mist.
