Chapter 463: Chapter 462: Cute Little Mushroom

If it took up a slot, the effect would be more flash than substance.

However, the system seemed to understand what survivors like her were thinking. The server-wide title didn’t need to be equipped; as long as one’s personal panel displayed this Zone, they would receive the title’s bonus.

If a Zone Transfer Certificate was used within these two days, the reward would be distributed based on the new Zone’s results, regardless of which Zone one was in previously.

Transferring Zones after the rewards were distributed would be considered forfeiting the reward.

These detailed rules and regulations meant little to Seraphina Sinclair, but for anyone wanting to transfer Zones, they were a set of shackles.

But most people felt they had struck gold being in the same Zone as Blacktiger, so of course, they wouldn’t be foolish enough to use a Zone Transfer Certificate.

Once she confirmed the title was in effect, Seraphina Sinclair had no more lingering worries.

Time to give the Sunflower sunshine, move, kill monsters, and open treasure chests!

Perhaps because she had worked too hard yesterday, by the time morning was over, Seraphina Sinclair only had one hundred sunshine left.

This hundred sunshine was for emergencies; it couldn’t be touched.

As a result, Seraphina Sinclair suddenly found herself with nothing to do.

She sat on the stool, planning to take a short break before starting on her rune painting.

But when one has time on their hands, trouble often comes knocking, and this time was no exception.

A Lightgate suddenly appeared in the cabin. Seraphina Sinclair looked up and saw a tiny figure squeezing its way in.

It was Little Mushroom.

"Good news?"

Seraphina Sinclair called out, her voice tinged with anticipation.

The last time Little Mushroom had visited, a waiter had escorted it. This time, it was alone. The little mushroom was trembling faintly, clearly incredibly nervous.

Hearing Seraphina Sinclair’s question, it wobbled before answering, "Ma’am, it’s not done yet, but it’s close."

Its voice was also extremely tense, as if terrified of making Seraphina Sinclair angry. It even tilted its mushroom cap, peeking at her expression with its tiny eyes.

Watching Little Mushroom’s terrified state, the flicker of anticipation in Seraphina Sinclair’s heart slowly faded into exasperation.

’This little guy is so timid,’ she thought. ’It hasn’t done anything wrong, but it’s wearing an "I’m about to get yelled at" expression. It’s exhausting just to watch.’

"What is it?"

Seraphina Sinclair asked.

’It’s not done yet, but it still made a special trip. There must be a reason, right?’

Little Mushroom’s cap trembled, and its tiny eyes blinked rapidly as if startled by the question.

It opened its mouth as if to say something, then swallowed its words. Finally, it managed to stammer, "I... I came to report on the progress..."

’Why are you trembling if you’re just reporting on your progress?’

Seraphina Sinclair fell silent.

’What exactly does this Door Key signify?’

’It can make the waiter act that way, and now it’s making Little Mushroom act this way?’

’It was as if a distance had suddenly formed between them. She, Seraphina Sinclair, was the high and mighty "ma’am," while the waiter and the others had automatically demoted themselves, becoming followers willing to offer both money and effort.’

Seraphina Sinclair pursed her lips. ’I suddenly feel like an imperial princess from some feudal dynasty.’

’And the waiter and the others are my court ministers, the heads of great clans.’

’As long as I can ascend the throne, then when one person rises, their whole house rises with them.’

Thinking about it that way made Seraphina Sinclair feel much better.

Her gaze fell on Little Mushroom. After a moment of silence, she asked, "Did you run out of materials?"

"Yes!" Little Mushroom nodded immediately. "One of the materials got used up surprisingly fast. We don’t have any left."

It spoke with perfect fluency, a stark contrast to its earlier terrified demeanor.

"Besides that material, are you missing anything else? How about you make a list, and once I’ve gathered everything, I’ll have the waiter deliver it to you?"

Hearing this, Little Mushroom’s cap trembled again, its tiny eyes filled with delighted surprise.

But it quickly suppressed its excitement, trying its best to look composed. Only the faint trembling of its stalk gave it away.

"Yes, ma’am!" It pulled a crumpled piece of paper from its folds, holding it out to Seraphina Sinclair with both hands. "The list is right here!"

’So it had it ready all along.’

Seraphina Sinclair took the paper and glanced over it.

It listed seven or eight different materials, most of which were F-level and E-level, with only two being D-level.

None of them were particularly expensive. She had most on hand, and the ones she didn’t could be easily found with a quick search on the trade channel.

She put the list away and nodded.

"Alright, I’ve got it."

Little Mushroom remained where it was, its tiny eyes watching her expectantly, as if waiting for something.

Seraphina Sinclair raised an eyebrow. "Something else?"

Little Mushroom’s cap quivered. It said quietly, "Ma’am... um... could you possibly get those materials quickly? My progress is stuck..."

Watching it hesitate, Seraphina Sinclair suddenly found the situation rather amusing.

"If you have all the materials, how long will it take you to figure out the formula?"

Little Mushroom thought for a moment, then carefully extended a few feelers from the edge of its cap. "Three days?" it whispered.

Seraphina Sinclair was surprised. They had originally agreed on a month, but who would have thought Little Mushroom’s research would progress as if divinely inspired, yielding results this quickly!

’Since Little Mushroom is this capable, I can’t be the one to hold things up.’

After a moment of thought, Seraphina Sinclair said, "Can you wait here in the cabin for a little while?"

Little Mushroom froze, then nodded immediately once it processed her words.

Seraphina Sinclair gestured for it to sit at the stone table, then opened the trade channel. Following the list, she began purchasing the materials Little Mushroom needed, one by one.

With Black Fog Coins on hand, Seraphina Sinclair didn’t even have to blink an eye to buy these basic materials.

She scrolled rapidly through the trade channel, her fingers flying across the virtual keyboard as she bought one material after another.

At first, Little Mushroom didn’t understand why its ma’am had asked it to stay. But when it saw the materials appearing before her, its tiny eyes lit up, and its whole body seemed to become much more animated.

Ten minutes later, all the materials on the list had been gathered, along with a few extra sets for backup.

Seraphina Sinclair gathered the materials into a pile and pushed them in front of Little Mushroom.

"All here. In three days, I’ll be waiting for your good news."

Little Mushroom stared at the mountain-like pile of materials before it, its tiny eyes welling up with tears.

"M-Ma’am..." its voice choked up. "This... this is too much... Only you would support me like this. My other clients just complain that I use materials too fast..."

Seeing it on the verge of tears, the corner of Seraphina Sinclair’s mouth twitched.

"Take them," she said succinctly. "The extra is for backup."

Little Mushroom sniffled loudly and carefully gathered the materials, its movements as gentle as if it were handling a priceless treasure it was afraid to break.

"Thank you, ma’am..." its voice was muffled. "I’ll work as hard as I can! I definitely won’t let you down!"

Seraphina Sinclair waved her hand. "Alright, you can go back now."

Little Mushroom nodded and, hugging the pile of materials, walked toward the Lightgate, looking back every few steps.
