Surviving The Fourth Calamity
Chapter 2225 - 800: The Terror of the Snowfall Isle Alliance
It turns out Toril deities have quite the unique way of insulting others.
Staring at Lansendel, Hill mulled over this statement repeatedly... Truly managed to insult two people at once without lowering his own worth.
Being androgynous isn’t a big deal, but being androgynous like a ’slut’... if you think in the direction of Amanata’s appearance, that’s what it implies.
It’s really a filthy insult.
But the reverse side.
If Amanata’s followers are individuals like Zhu Meili, who could even leave the Lord of Hell deeply shocked, then he... indeed, is inferior to Rose.
An even filthier insult.
After all, for the Undead Tribe, as long as they don’t feel disgusted themselves, anything goes... their bodies, after all, aren’t real.
But Amanata’s followers are truly human.
Whether you tell this to Amanata or Zhu Meili, it’s a dirty insult... However, Zhu Meili probably wouldn’t feel a thing.
The backstory of his name is actually even less respectable than that of Road Eunuch.
One is simply cut, the other is augmented... The undead have always had a knack for insults.
However, it wasn’t until ’Lu Huayu’ became the deputy to the Apocalyptic Boss that he got used to the name, even joking about it himself.
Zhu Meili, on the other hand, accepted the reality much earlier.
’Snow Cloud Peak’ didn’t take as long to accept his transformation from a self-proclaimed elegant man in white to Snow Old Dog.
Whatever you say about that guy’s personality, his psychological resilience is definitely harsh enough.
Then Hill belatedly realized... Amanata actually has quite a steady psychological foundation too.
What ordinary Sun God would give themselves a look publicly recognized as a ’slut’ look!
Even their Teraxil couldn’t manage such a downfall.
It’s not about being evil or good... Consider this, although Ambori often gets called a slut, the generally acknowledged title is a shrew.
Her reputation in Toril is so bad that anyone who thinks of her has to spit on the ground, yet no one managed to pin the name ’slut’ on her.
Of course, perhaps it’s because aside from those who rely on the sea for food, other Toril people only know she’s vile but haven’t been much affected.
Then you understand just how much karmic debt the name ’Ata’ carries... It’s not just about being evil. You’ve got to be vile, sleazy, and shameless enough.
And yet, faced with this kind of notorious title, Amanata can remain unfazed, maintaining that dignified appearance... Even knowing Toril Gods and many strong individuals know who ’Ata’ is, he can act as if it has nothing to do with him.
These two indeed have some similarities in a way.
Lansendel’s way of insulting, indeed, leaves a lingering impression.
"Does Josh have some of your abilities?" Shaer suddenly asked quietly from behind the vines.
"Huh?" Lansendel asked puzzled, "My follower... oh... you mean his mouth?"
This matter with Josh shouldn’t be just because of his sharp tongue.
We are not as good as the Undead Tribe!"
"Ha~" Shaer just let out a short, derisive laugh.
Hill blinked... Shaer’s sensitivity to human nature is absolutely unmatched by careless people like them.
She must have noticed something.
But, just like Lansendel said... Even if Josh’s tongue were sharper, he wouldn’t openly humiliate everyone.
Frankly, to provoke these enthusiastic Dawn Elects into sarcasm, you’d need some competency and standing!
But Hill knew better than anyone, Shaer should not be questioned.
He’s recently figured out a bit of this Lady of the Night’s personality.
Despite how Shaer seems tightly seated here showing interest in current events... in reality, she’s likely doing something else somewhere.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t be boring herself by exploring the Undead Tribe’s humanity issues.
Clearly, this is just this avatar passing time and attracting some outside attention.
As to who that outsider might be... It’s certainly not him or Lansendel.
Selecting either Toril’s Sun or Silvermoon would be close enough.
Indeed, even though Amanata abandoned exploring this world, it doesn’t mean he’s ceased to care... With Celene, Lansendel, and Shaer acting together, he would surely want to know a bit about the before and after.
And Shaer has always harbored deep-seated hostility toward Amanata.
Most importantly... no matter how she deals with Amanata, it wouldn’t affect the Toril Continent as much as her engagements with Lansendel or Tyr.
Amanata’s handful of followers haven’t even made their way out of Karin Harbor yet!
Even Iltmara can turn everywhere into a swamp... her throne is quite joyfully used.
Amanata has only a few believers, who often suddenly lose themselves, becoming the eyes and vassals of certain Midnight Elect.
Iltmara is very skilled at disguising and sowing discord... don’t forget, she is a woman who endured the most brutal Kalinsan Court.
Without blinking, she can make the Amanata believers erupt into conflict and slaughter each other... in the end, many don’t even know whether the deaths were her handiwork or if the observer outside was her mouthpiece.
Amanata’s easy temptation by Asmodier into the world also relates to his delayed plans on Toril.
He does have a small group of believers outside spreading his name... in the past, it might have had some effect.
But now in Toril, the loudest name belongs to the Undead Tribe.
And the Undead Tribe themselves, along with William supporting them, even bringing them into Toril with Coron’s help have no interest in promoting their Name of God, nor in managing the chaotic territories.
In the end, the ones practically handling these affairs are the ancient Snowfall Isle Alliance.
The Righteous Knights are indispensable.
Then, upon realizing what kind of alliance he was involved in, Tampas swiftly arranged his War God Knights Corps, including the Red Knight’s adventure group and the barbarian sons’ great army near the Righteous Knights.
In his words, even the Righteous Knights could play with the Heim Family’s scraps back then!
Why not bring along Tampas believers?
This time Tampas exit from Icewind Valley was fairly easy, but the name still ringing louder is the Righteous Knights... after all, the Undead Tribe is accustomed to dealing with them first.
For the God of Battle, as long as his people don’t end up mixed up with those over there, everything is negotiable.
Barbarians may be fearless, but they don’t like dying without reason... it might even be shameful.
The lack of troublemakers in Sword Bay stems from such reasoning... to facilitate smooth communication with the Undead Tribe, followers of these deities basically appear under the Snowfall Isle Alliance’s name.
No one in Toril dares to cause trouble upon seeing the projection of that book with deities’ crests.
Including Cyric.
He merely favors attempting the impossible, not willing to sacrifice his pawns.
Otherwise, given the empty territories of Anmur and Kalinsan, their lack of unified governance would have long descended into chaos... though the Undead Tribe is fierce, they don’t meddle in the locals’ schemes.
Who can’t think of a way that doesn’t offend the monitoring evil arrays but still defeats enemies?
However, the Snowfall Isle Alliance nearly wipes all of this clean... who could outplay Shaer’s followers in trickery?
Toril people scratch their heads wondering why Shaer would also sign that piece!
Look at those names up top!
Lord of Agleya... this one already being on the covenant as a human god is inconceivable, moreover the leading figure!
Mystra, Tyr, and Tampas can be acknowledged.
Yet there’s a Lansendel placed openly between Celene and Shaer.
Then, Shaer is not even the last one... there’s an outsider God of Time and Space.
Has Lady of Darkness gone mad due to the loss of the Shadow Demon Network?
Regardless of the entity, the first reaction upon seeing this Alliance Book is to retreat three thousand miles.
Not only due to the overwhelming power of this covenant; they fear the thing might explode at any moment, swallowing Sword Bay in its wake.
Therefore, no matter how fertile Anmur’s fields are, or how habitable Kalinsan has become under the efforts of the Little Fairies... no foreign force can be seen.
Logically, Amanata believers positioned perfectly in Anmur should foresee a promising development.
Yet, their very first step ended in complete failure.
If in the past the Ancient Night Temple led by Iltmara committed atrocities, slaughtering innocents, they could be expelled under the name of the Sun.
Now the Temple of the Dark Night, besides their deadly feud, doesn’t disturb the people.
Toril people know their place; they won’t follow them in pursuing the sunlight unless survival is impossible.
The envisioned clusters of flames failed to ignite completely due to the unique environments of Anmur and Kalinsan.
Additionally, the weak spatial points originally in the Supreme Forest have all vanished due to the restructuring of Primordial Power.
The so-called Demon Gate has utterly perished.
The elves, who were scattered across Toril but always finding themselves in unfavorable circumstances, started gradually returning.
If it were the former Righteous Knights, in the midst of sacrificing countless lives to block the Demon Gate, they would never relinquish their thousands-year stationed territory back to the elves.
Originally, it would have sparked fierce opposition... the ordinary people behind the Righteous Knights would inevitably clear land and cut trees.
This was why, when Father of the Forest and Shantia resurrected Marla, the elves seized the opportunity... chopping trees in front of the elves daily, is truly stimulating.
But now the Righteous Knights have all of Anmur, even Kalinsan to venture into.
