Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 2246: Who Is Really Involved?

  • Next Chapter

‘Perfect Bald’ naturally shifted the topic: “The plan might have changes, that mysterious figure, hmm, might even come to see for himself?”

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ looked steadily at this cunning guy.

They both understood why ‘Old Age Striking King’ didn’t call for help after encountering the enemy, instead going straight to video, it was to lure the enemy.

‘Old Age Striking King’ appeared very formidable, clearly someone who could take on a hundred by herself.

But her strength wasn’t at a hopeless level.

On the contrary, that mastermind, upon confirming no backup was following ‘Old Age Striking King’, would definitely want to deal with her.

Although the sacrifice was huge, this was a strong person from another world, a completely different profession… ‘Old Age Striking King’ acted more like a Fist Fighter, rather than a Magic-based profession.

Her gloves had been flashing all kinds of colors, yet she hadn’t used any Astral Spells.

As for Healing Spells… this group, clearly a certain kind of Magician, didn’t have the ability to make ‘Old Age Striking King’ stop to heal herself.

Her passive spell that restored ten health points per second ensured she had no reaction to the punches hitting her.

Her defensive power wasn’t that high, but her self-repair ability was obviously strong, and her attack power was very high.

In some respect, the way ‘Old Age Striking King’ fought was very suitable for these Magicians who couldn’t use many spells.

They had decent defensive power, but their attack power was exceptionally weak.

Once the mastermind discovered the complementarity between ‘Old Age Striking King’ and these Magicians, he would certainly be interested.

And this, even if unnoticed at first, would surely be realized during battle due to ‘Old Age Striking King’s’ strategic skills.

Thus, ‘Perfect Bald’ suddenly brought in ‘Snow Cloud Peak’… these two had worked together for so long, there was no need for verbal communication, one opened the live feed and the other understood.

Otherwise, ‘Magic Sword’ wouldn’t have been dragged over to be the Recorder… Though he was unfortunate, his observational skills and endurance were very strong.

When faced with the task of finding clues in some corner material, especially in complex environments, everyone liked to bring him along.

Of course, there were others, but ultimately, the one who could find the key clues was almost always him.

Like that little act that just angered ‘Old Age Striking King’… to be honest, they were chatting leisurely here, but it wasn’t slow-motion replay over there.

It was a fast mix of blind and chaotic fighting.

The switch in movements was extremely quick.

Though many had fallen, many rushed out of the darkness… further proving that the hidden mastermind had already taken the bait.

Yet they couldn’t determine whether the now furious ‘Old Age Striking King’ could still control her emotions, or refrain from calling upon the Jade Codex to set the street aflame from end to end.

How could such a bad thing happen?

‘Perfect Bald’ had even prepared to give up… what he was perhaps really asking ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ was whether that mastermind was already in this alley, and if he might be directly incinerated by ‘Old Age Striking King’.

However, this bastard does not think he would take the blame for it upon himself.

His words, in-between, urged ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ to quickly dispatch people to charge the alley before ‘Old Age Striking King’ acted up.

After all, the fire summoned by ‘Old Age Striking King’ wouldn’t burn their own people.

Even if this Female Priest went mad, she wouldn’t completely lose her mind and wouldn’t toss an Alchemical Bomb to destroy the entire army.

However, if their people really rushed in… wouldn’t that mean that they heard, understood what happened, and knew why ‘Old Age Striking King’ went berserk?

This huge potential risk, how could ‘Perfect Bald’ not know?

By then, the benefits would be taken by the Black Rose… as long as the Magic Cult people rushed in, ‘Old Age Striking King’ would probably regain composure and immediately transfer her anger onto the Magic Cult.

With her mind, her first reaction might even be to kill the Magic Cult members who rushed in, treating them as enemies… this way, her plan to lure the enemy deeper could still be completed.

After all, the people in the refugee camp probably didn’t understand what the Undead Tribe was all about, and wouldn’t think that she killed so many with her own hands to conceal her identity.

This trick could only be used at this stage, in two days it wouldn’t work.

But is he insane? To take the blame for the Black Rose?

The key is that it benefits them, but troubles him?

When did he, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’, become a benevolent person!

“Hey Baldy, in your heart, when can I go sit cross-legged on the stage?” asked ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ with a face of confusion.

“What did I say?” replied ‘Perfect Bald’ with an innocent smile.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly lowered his head to look at the tablet in his hands.

Sure enough, an unbelievable change was taking place.

Just when they thought things were going awry, and even ‘Old Age Striking King’ showed some special tendencies, that person actually held back!

How could it be possible?

For so many years, does he still not realize that the Elder Endurance can withstand everything but himself, yet spares not others?

Which great god lent a hand in this?

‘Snow Cloud Peak’, truly grateful.

—————–

The great god blessed with endless tenderness sighed softly.

“Shaer, if you used someone else, would you need me to put so much effort and risk being discovered?” Lansendel said earnestly, “Even without Snow Cloud Peak, at least that other wind could do!

That wind from Cunlü’s family…”

“Heh~ He’s not capable of surviving through this chain of attacks,” Shaer mocked, “As for Snow Cloud Peak, why send him in? To be a sitting duck?”

“Is Old Age Striking King the only usable one?” Lansendel was dissatisfied… he’s dealt with many from the Undead Tribe, maybe not stronger than ‘Old Age Striking King’ but certainly comparable.

These Defensive Sorcerers can withstand ‘Old Age Striking King’s punches, but cannot resist the swordsmanship of the Swordsmen… Weapons of the Undead Tribe in Toril can be called Divine Artifacts!

The famous powerful swords of the Elves, only have this attack power.

Not just anyone can use them.

“Heh~ I actually feel I’ve found the most suitable candidate.” Shaer smiled gently, “In this world, my luck is truly not bad.”

Upon hearing this, Hill blinked, his heart seemed to skip a beat with these words.

Though he didn’t understand what he was sensing, it was surely some kind of hint for him.

Hill frowned slightly… Shaer’s luck better than in Toril, does it mean this world is transforming towards Primordial Darkness?

Styx Force is Styx Force, death is the boundary between light and darkness.

Not considered light, nor classified as darkness.

Even though Devils have done a lot in this world, making its life force nearly null, it doesn’t imply the world will turn to darkness.

Unless, the World Will prefers darkness over Styx Force.

But this, is definitely not normal.

If a world falls into complete darkness, even if not shattered by Devils, it’s very likely to be absorbed into the Bottomless Abyss.

Even Shaer, who wishes Toril back to silence, wouldn’t think this way… she desires the primordial world that, though illuminated by moonlight with Primordials frolicking, is mostly shrouded by darkness.

Not a world with nothing but darkness.

Such was Shaer in Toril, never considered lucky.

No matter how much Shaer gives, her ultimate reward will never outweigh her loss.

Not about value, but tendency.

Shaer will inevitably lose something she most desires.

Though the world might compensate with a fairly decent outcome, it won’t be what she truly wants.

If Shaer claims she has better luck in this world… as a deity of great power, she shouldn’t say such things lightly.

Especially those involving fate lines in other worlds.

Hill silently glanced at the external land… he suspected there might be issues at the world core of this dual-core world.

He pondered quietly, deciding to observe for a while.

If by the time the Dawn Tower is fully established and Lansendel with Shaer still haven’t aligned with the world core, Hill would surely alert them.

However, Hill considers Shaer might indeed have some awareness.

“Old Age Striking King is indeed the best choice.” He turned to look at Lady of the Night, nodding at the depths of the vines, “No matter who, they would choose to capture her.

Her and the opposing sorcerer’s attributes complement so much.”

“So, what race is it?” Shaer smiled, “Your expression seems off! Does it relate to you?”

“Perhaps, it’s somewhat connected to you.” Hill couldn’t help but chuckle… he surely knows Shaer refers to Bear Sorcerer.

Though it sounds unpleasant, bears, aside from the Dragon Race, are indeed most likely to conceive offspring with humans.

Hill couldn’t deny this fact… like the legend of Teraxil regarding Earth Bear, absurd as it sounds, yet undeniably acknowledged.

Of course, that legend was definitely spread by the Elves, considering they have many Druid myths.

But if elevated to the whole Multiverse, even excluding Druid aspects… nothing abnormal about that tale.

Hill wouldn’t assume his Earth Bear Bloodline implies all Bear Clan is good-natured.

Yet, even an evil Bear Clan wouldn’t come to such a barren world.
