Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 2272 - 847: Filled with Hidden Traps

The hall of Hill was silent.

The prayer of the ’Old Age Striking King’ that invoked the Emerald Scripture was so shocking that even Josh looked at their Main God with incredulity.

Of course, the most important reason might be that he was not very familiar with the Undead Tribe and was misled by the relatively young image of the ’Old Age Striking King’.

The Dawn Believers themselves occasionally shouted something like ’My Lord, My Love’, but for adults, being a bit flirtatious is normal.

After all, the image Lansendel usually appears as in front of the believers is that of a Great Peacock.

Everyone actually quite enjoys shouting the slogans and going up to touch the feathers.

But, kids?

What would a child do in the future if they say such things too often growing up?

The Dawn Believers can’t have someone like Shuni among them!

That would cause big trouble.

Josh’s eyes were full of anxiety.

Lansendel rolled his eyes at him: "That’s an adult female, just using a younger image.

You should get to know the Undead Tribe well and stop being so easily startled."

Then he turned to Shaer, who showed a look of disdain: "Shaer, what are you showing that expression for?

It wasn’t me who voluntarily asked her to recite this saying!

She herself found the original prayer too long and convoluted, so she changed it to this!"

Hill pondered for a moment... Though these words were somewhat unorthodox, they indeed met the basic requirements of a prayer: the Name of God, the hope for the Deities, and praise for the Deities.

And most importantly, they could attract the attention of the Deities.

A prayer unlocks the connection with the Divine Fire, and what the Holy Scripture can unleash is naturally the standard Divine Arts.

But if it can also attract the attention of the Deities, then the flagship can upgrade directly to a PPLUS version.

And spending the money for the price of a flagship.

This is a really cost-effective thing, but generally, Deities won’t heed such prayers.

But Lansendel is different... Though these words are prankish, they absolutely resonate with his divine demeanor, how could he not accept them!

"The Undead Tribe always approaches problem-solving from the most direct and bizarre angle." Shaer leaned her right cheek on her hand, looking at Lansendel as if he were a ’madman’, "But to completely accept such methods and do it so openly, only you could."

The prayers of the Followers of Shaer are actually quite extravagant and ambiguous... But anyone can tell that it is out of respect and fear for the master.

Of course, those words essentially sum up what the ’Old Age Striking King’ meant by shouting.

Just, no Deity would make themselves so... popular?

Shaer sometimes could understand why ’AO’ always wanted Lansendel to ’mature’ a bit more... This guy’s character and ability are AO’s favorite type, but his temperament can erase all of the above.

Just like they always wanted Shaer to be a little more peaceful and hope that Celene could be a bit more stable... Old people always have unrealistic wishes.

But AO only tries casually, and if it doesn’t work, he won’t insist, unlike some Deities, Shaer could clearly see how AO’s silently carved knife was wielded.

After the Undead Tribe appeared, naturally, some thoughts of AO could allow the three who came from Greece to complete this period of time in the future, the old man’s attention would likely shift away from those kids who are satisfying yet a bit disappointing.

Shaer furrowed her brows slightly... For her, this was also a rare relaxing time.

So, whether to do some things or in what way to do them, Shaer still needs to consider.

She wouldn’t want to accidentally attract the old man’s attention back again.

Although there wouldn’t be any big movements, the small bits here and there are quite annoying.

Lansendel only sneered at Shaer’s words: "Heh~ perfectly reasonable and compliant, why not use it?"

Hill silently shrank back a bit... He realized that Josh was indeed tempted.

For these Chosen of the Deities, how to quickly recite a prayer to summon the attention of the Main God in the shortest time is basic practice.

But if it could be done in one sentence... who wouldn’t want to use that?

But these are two entirely different things!

"Don’t think about it! Josh." Lansendel also noticed what his Chosen was secretly thinking, "She can do it because of the Emerald Scripture.

The Divine Artifacts used by the Undead Tribe are connected directly to their control systems for convenience.

And this control system, several areas have been divided, entrusted to certain Deities to control.

For example, the Emerald Scripture is directly connected to my area.

If any unexpected situation arises, I can retrieve the scripture directly through the control system.

This, as long as you are still flesh and blood, can’t be done.

So, it’s better for you to obediently use the old method!

Though troublesome, at least it can surely reach me."

Josh nodded with a bit of regret and then suddenly rubbed his hands: "Then, can’t we use their Elemental Body?

Aren’t they all..."

"The God of Time and Space is generous but not foolish." Lansendel couldn’t help but roll his eyes.

The souls of the Undead Tribe clearly belong to the mortal level... though their soul level is quite high.

No matter how intricate their projections are, they haven’t reached the fundamental level of perceiving the God of Time and Space’s essential divine artifact.

But for a chosen one with strong Divine Power, there’s still a possibility, one in several hundred thousand!

Although the chances are very small.

Still, a rational deity would never gamble something so important on a completely insignificant matter.

Probability can be quite terrifying.

Sometimes, as long as it’s not zero, it might as well be a hundred percent for some people.

"That’s the power of Igweville, isn’t it?" Shaer was too lazy to listen to that master and servant duo’s banter, and brought the topic back on track.

Though Lansendel was indeed shameless, after being shocked many times, she could quickly regain her composure... Shaer believed her mindset could soon return to being calm and unperturbed.

Since the Emerald Scripture had just had a direct conflict with the Twin-headed Baboon in the opposite shadow, Lansendel would surely recognize whose power that was... it definitely wouldn’t be Dimogogan himself.

That guy wouldn’t be able to sit in the same world as Asmodeus and continue to develop and grow obediently.

His first reaction would definitely be a direct confrontation.

Of course, Dimogogan isn’t without cunning... but he can’t suppress that more violent head.

Despite having one scheme after another, most of them got abandoned halfway through due to that violent head.

Those two heads can only act in unison during slaughter.

And, a direct conflict with the Devil King could be advantageous to both heads... The Twin-headed Baboon has always demonstrated his power and invincibility to the Bottomless Abyss, not often seeking favors from it.

So, Shaer still felt their previous guess wasn’t wrong.

Lansendel nodded: "It’s her."

"Igweville?" Josh was a bit puzzled, "What’s she playing at here?

Though Asmodeus doesn’t really involve himself with these Hell inhabitants, he wouldn’t allow them to interfere with his plans!

Besides, that guy holds grudges quite seriously.

Even if it doesn’t really affect him, as long as you show any sign of it, he’ll constantly look for ways to retaliate.

The Witch Queen has already offended so many dark forces, and yet she’s daring to provoke her own landlord?"

"Her target is Dimogogan, merely leveraging Asmodeus’s influence for a moment." Lansendel chuckled, "For the Lord of Hell, if Igweville can provide enough emotional value, he won’t mind such a minor manipulation."

Hill couldn’t help but ponder the deeper meaning behind the words ’emotional value’.

Of course, when that shadow ascended, Hill wavered slightly... this world, truly, holds some significance for Dimogogan.

His two heads have always wanted to eliminate the other.

If they were fully separated, they might not be entirely incapable... but that would mean one of them must abandon this powerful body, losing the title of Demon Prince.

And this, for Dimogogan, who was abandoned for being too ugly and brainless, is utterly unbearable.

Strength is his greatest pride and dignity.

When neither head is willing to give up, they can only devise ways to eliminate the other self.

A dual-core world, especially one adept at letting the two souls within one body devour each other, is inevitably of great research value to Dimogogan.

Hill suddenly paused in thought.

This peculiar universe seemed to appear a bit later than Teraxil.

Could it be, it emerged after Dimogogan ambushed the Star Spirit?

The universe that once lay beside Teraxil belonged to the Elven God King and their universe.

However, Hill had never heard anyone mention passing through a desolate, abandoned universe after leaving Teraxil.

He hadn’t paid attention because he assumed that universe had turned to dust.

Much like those universes of the God of Portals teetering on collapse.

But there’s another possibility... perhaps that Star Spirit had transformed the broken universe into a new one back then.

Though Star Spirits are powerful and benevolent, they aren’t very vengeful... in Hill’s view, their lack of vengeance is because they can generally get their revenge on the spot.

There are few in the entire Multiverse who, like Dimogogan, can provoke them and still walk away unharmed.

The Star Spirits must know that Dimogogan’s greatest weakness is himself.

Hmm... now the strange existences in this world seem understandable!

Look~ even if Dimogogan himself hadn’t noticed, someone was willing to pave the way for him.

For example, Igweville, who has always wanted to try the flavor of the Twin-headed Baboon and have a few children with him.

Dimogogan isn’t entirely without a wife; he merely loves power and strength more.

Quite interesting.

Hill suddenly relaxed entirely.

This world may hide numerous pits... but none seem particularly harmful to him.
