"I guess it’s because we didn’t break up the groups of tourists, so those people just disappeared."

Song Zhenzhen had a headache and wanted to grab a handful of her hair, but when she touched it, she realized that her makeup had changed.

At that moment, Lin Yun stood up again. "Let’s search the room first."

"I saw them in TV dramas before, and they all said that the incense and stuff in brothels might contain something, and that you shouldn’t eat things randomly."

The others also quickly stood up and began to check the items in the room.

They had originally planned to take a look when they first came in, but Xiaohe’s arrival had been so sudden that they forgot about it after being distracted.

[Aphrodisiac Incense: An aphrodisiac fragrance that can arouse physical desire.]

Lin Yun’s expression changed again. She quickly took a plastic bag out of her backpack, stuffed it inside, tied it up, and continued searching.

The five people searched the room for a while, and when the knocking sounded again, they quickly sat back down in their chairs.

Lin Yun opened the door again, and a young maidservant entered, carrying a tray in her hands.

It was the wine and snacks that Yao Niang had just sent over.

"Just give it to me." Lin Yun reached out to take it, but the little maid held tightly onto the tray.

She looked up at Lin Yun and said, "Sister Qingqing, let me take it in for you. The things are heavy."

Lin Yun withdrew her hand and silently stepped aside.

After the maidservant came in and put the things away, she immediately went out with the tray, but as she passed Lin Yun, she slipped something into her hand.

The maidservant closed the door from the outside, lowered her head, and quickly left.

Lin Yun quickly sat down at the table. "That little maid gave it to me."

[Don’t eat it! It’s been spiked with a mind-altering drug!]

"Bewitching Powder? What is that? And who is that little maid?" Song Zhenzhen was already quite confused.

Lin Yun tossed the note back into her backpack; there was nowhere safer than their backpacks.

While they were searching, the five of them found seven or eight items that had been laced with aphrodisiacs, but fortunately, they hadn’t been lit yet.

"What should we do then? Not eat any? Won’t they get suspicious?" Xiong Qi picked up a chopstick from somewhere and poked at the snacks on the table.

Lin Yun pulled out another plastic bag. "Here, put it all in and make a false impression. To prevent anyone else from coming in later, let’s collect a few coins first."

Sure enough, about half an hour later, Yao Niang came to knock on the door.

"Green~ Blue~"

The group exchanged glances; it was Mama Yao’s voice.

Lin Yun got up again to open the door. "Aunt Yao, what brings you here?"

"Oh dear, it’s getting late. I’m afraid your room can’t accommodate so many people. Why don’t you let Lanlan take one of them back to her room to sleep?"

"By the way, Young Master Song must sleep in your room, understand?"

Yao Niang flicked the handkerchief in her hand and began making arrangements.

Lin Yun’s expression remained unchanged. "Okay, Aunt Yao, I’ll have Lanlan take the other two over."

"Alright, you go ahead and do your work." Yao Niang waved her hand and left.

Everyone inside heard what Yao Niang said.

Song Xizheng breathed a sigh of relief. If he had been alone in a room, Xiaohe would have torn him to pieces.

After discussing it, George decided to go next door by himself, while Xiong Qi followed Song Zhenzhen to her room and could send her a private message if anything came up.

After leaving Lin Yun’s room, they each went to the rooms arranged by Yao Niang.

And the night was only just beginning.

Xiaohe slapped the man who was trying to lay a hand on her unconscious, kicked him away, and ordered the two maids serving her to strip him naked and throw him onto the bed.

"Do whatever you want with him, just don’t let him die."

"Yes."

Xiaohe then left the room.

As soon as she came out, a maidservant immediately came over and whispered a few words in her ear.

Hongxiu Tower was shaped like the Chinese character "回" (hui). She stood in the corridor, looking down at Qingqing and Lanlan’s rooms.

The maidservant had left sometime earlier. Xiaohe glanced at her twice and then walked to the side. Turning the corner, she saw Yao Niang, who had been waiting for a long time.

"Aunt Yao."

Yao Niang looked her up and down, then let out a cryptic chuckle. "Men are all untrustworthy."

Her hand clenched tightly in her sleeve. "He’s different!"

"Really? He took the mind-controlling drug and stayed in Qingqing’s room. What’s the difference?"

"Weren’t these all things you ordered to do?"

"Slap!"

Yao Niang suddenly slapped Xiaohe across the face.

"Xiaohe, you’re the top courtesan at our Red Sleeve Pavilion now, so don’t spend all your time thinking about the outside world."

After saying that, Yao Niang swayed her hips and walked away.

Xiaohe raised her hand to touch her slapped face, recalling past events, her eyes gradually turning cold.

George sat in his room, not sleeping. He had a feeling that something would happen that night, so he had to be on high alert.

He even took two cups of coffee out of his backpack and drank them down.

Knock knock knock.

George looked towards the doorway and saw a figure outside.

He thought for a moment, then got up to open the door.

"Young Master~"

It was Xiaohe.

"Is something the matter?" George asked.

Xiaohe raised her hand and gently pushed George. "Xiaohe will serve you~"

As she spoke, she stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

George frowned as he looked at Xiaohe, sensing that something was wrong with her current state.

"Young master, you certainly won’t get tired of the old and crave the new, right?" Xiaohe walked towards George step by step.

George didn’t want her to get close and was backing away, but this angered Xiaohe.

"Young master, don’t you like me either?"

As she spoke, Xiaohe’s voice became shrill, and pieces of skin on her face began to peel off.

"Don’t you men love my appearance the most? Why won’t you let me serve you? Song Xizheng is like this, and you’re like this too?!"

Xiaohe approached George step by step, demanding an answer from him!

But George frowned. How did Xiaohe know Song Xizheng’s name?

Lin Yun and Song Zhenzhen were unaware of what was happening next door, and they could only sit there bored.

"Sister Lin, we can’t just sit here all day, can we? When are we going to get out?"

Song Xizheng lay slumped on the table, the time on his personal panel having stopped moving at some point, and neither of them knew how much time had passed outside.

"Sister Lin? What are you busy with? Why aren’t you saying anything?"

Song Xizheng turned his face to the side and continued to lie on the table, as if a salted fish had turned over.

Seeing that Lin Yun ignored him again, he wasn’t angry. He had been rambling on for a while, and Lin Yun was probably tired of listening.

"Sigh, it’s just like this every day."

But after a while, Lin Yun still didn’t speak, which made Song Xizheng feel that something was wrong.

Why is Sister Lin ignoring him? There’s not a single sound from her. This isn’t right!

For some reason, the silence beside him felt much heavier than before. Song Xizheng had been talking simply because there was nothing else to do, but now he suddenly realized how strange the room had become. Lin Yun had always been there, even when she did not answer him. He could at least hear her breathing or notice the slightest movement from her side.

Now there was nothing.

He slowly straightened himself, his earlier laziness disappearing. His eyes moved across the room, searching for any sign of her. The table and familiar surroundings were still there, but Lin Yun was not.

A chill ran through him.

He remembered what had happened to the tourists who entered before them. Their faces had vanished from his memory without warning. Could the same thing have happened again?

Song Xizheng swallowed and looked around carefully, no longer daring to joke.

He did not know when she had disappeared, and that uncertainty made the situation even more frightening. He stared at the empty place beside him for a moment, unable to understand what had happened.

He quickly looked up.

Lin Yun, who had been sitting next to him, had disappeared again.

On his left, not far away, sat a woman who was doing her hair and makeup in front of a mirror.
