"Hey, Miss Shu Nan, opening one door is the same as opening two, so why don’t you open our door too? Don’t worry, we won’t run around. How about we just take a couple of laps outside? It won’t make things difficult for you."

A man with fox ears also grinned and leaned against his cell door, trying to persuade Lin Yun. Lin Yun glanced at him, ignored him, and after unlocking the human cell, moved on to the next one.

When Lin Yun opened Qi Zhu’s cell door, she tossed a crumpled piece of paper inside.

At first, Qi Zhu had been sitting on the ground in a daze, feeling utterly bored. He had heard what those people said, and he, too, felt that the giant rat tribe had found a new way to torment them. His initial anticipation died instantly. But when he saw the crumpled paper the other person threw in, he was a little confused. What did this person mean?

When no one was paying attention to him, he picked up the paper, turned his back to the outside, and opened it to take a look.

’I’m going down to rescue Dong Nian. Prepare yourself.’

Qi Zhu: "!!"

Holy crap, which good brother had come to rescue him? But wasn’t that Miss Shu Nan of the giant rat tribe just now? He knew about that Miss Shu Nan. She had even come to bother the humans opposite him yesterday. Could it be that the person who had just opened the door was a survivor who had sprayed racial perfume? Qi Zhu suddenly realized something.

He rolled his eyes. He wanted to help the humans here, since they were in such terrible shape. After what he had seen in the special channel, he felt a pang of sympathy. But he would wait a bit. They still had to go down and rescue Dong Nian from that "Miss Shu Nan."

Huh? Dong Nian and he were in the same prison? He had never heard Dong Nian mention it.

At that moment, Lin Yun had already arrived at the second basement level. There were not many people there. Besides Dong Nian, only one other human was imprisoned there. The rest of the prisoners were of other races. Unlike the races upstairs, they did not rush over and whine the moment she opened the door. They glanced at Lin Yun and then looked away.

Lin Yun frowned, feeling a little strange, but she did not think too much of it. Her mission was to save Dong Nian and Qi Zhu. The others were none of her concern.

[Host, why don’t you save them too? There’s an option to save them in the daily quests.]

"???"

"Really?"

[Really, but that task is listed quite far down. You didn’t find it.]

Lin Yun was silent for a while. She did not know whether these people were good or bad, and she was still using Shu Nan’s identity.

"What’s the reward?"

[A random skill.]

"Rescuing them grants a random skill? Is that right?"

But the system did not answer. The choice was in her hands.

After opening the human’s cell, Lin Yun thought for a moment and then opened the doors for the others as well. There were four people imprisoned there in total.

"You should leave now," she said.

Afterward, she went to the door of Dong Nian’s cell.

"Dong Nian, let’s go."

Dong Nian: "???"

Wait, who was this person? How did she know her name? She did not seem to have revealed her name, did she? She stood up, looking bewildered, and walked to the door. "Who are you?"

"A survivor," Lin Yun said softly, reaching out to pull her along. "Hurry up and go."

Dong Nian’s eyes lit up, and without Lin Yun having to pull her again, she quickly followed.

After they came up, Lin Yun composed her expression. Dong Nian, knowing that Lin Yun was now a member of the giant rat tribe, also began her performance and followed Lin Yun meekly.

As they passed Qi Zhu’s cell, Lin Yun paused, gave him a hand signal, and then left with Dong Nian.

"Hey, don’t go! You haven’t opened my cell yet!"

"That’s right, that’s right. If you want to leave, open my cell first~ Miss Shu Nan, I can also help you torture the humans. Open mine too, okay?"

"Haha, I can do it too, Miss Shu Nan! Give me a chance, please?"

Hearing these words, the humans imprisoned there flinched. That Shu Nan was indeed up to no good! Opening the cell doors was just a pretext to wait for them to escape, then catch them on the spot and humiliate them, right? Then they would suffer the inhumane torture of the giant rat tribe! They would absolutely not fall for it again. Absolutely not.

Lin Yun ignored the races that were spouting nonsense. She kept glancing at the humans out of the corner of her eye, but the humans did not move. They had absolutely no intention of leaving. They did not trust the open cell doors. They feared a trap.

Lin Yun sighed helplessly. There was nothing she could do. Her current identity as Miss Shu Nan of the giant rat tribe really was not believable. But without this identity, she could not have gotten in. Forget it. There were still elves outside. They could wait for the elves to come in and rescue them. Anyway, the cell doors had already been opened, so it was not a big problem.

Lin Yun casually tossed the keys she had been holding into a corner and then ignored them. She and Dong Nian had reached the corner where the people in the prison could not see them.

"What is this...?"

Dong Nian saw Shu Ba, tied up like a silkworm in the corner.

"Ignore the giant rat."

Lin Yun spoke very softly, afraid of being heard, and gestured for Dong Nian to lower her voice. Dong Nian understood, quickly zipped her mouth, and gave an OK sign. She just did not know why Lin Yun had not left yet. Was she waiting for someone?

Just as she was about to ask, Qi Zhu slipped out like a thief.

"Dong Nian?" Qi Zhu was stunned for a moment when he saw the person next to Lin Yun, and then he realized what was going on.

Dong Nian nodded.

"Should we run now?" Qi Zhu asked Lin Yun.

Lin Yun nodded. "You two wait here first. I’ll go up and check the situation. Then I’ll throw a stone down, and you can come up."

Seeing that the two agreed, Lin Yun went upstairs again. She stood at the entrance of the dungeon and looked around. Soon, Sang Biao let out a soft meow nearby, indicating that there was no one around and that Aino’s group had not arrived yet.

She quickly threw a stone down the entrance and marked the switch so that Aino would not have to look for it when she came. By this time, Qi Zhu and Dong Nian had also come up.

"Let’s go!"

The two immediately followed Lin Yun and ran, while Sang Biao kept watch over the three from a high place, ready to warn them if anyone appeared.

At first, Qi Zhu and Dong Nian were a little puzzled as to how Lin Yun could always avoid the giant rats that passed by. But when they heard the occasional meows of a cat, they realized what was going on. They were smart enough not to ask. Everyone had their own secrets, and they would not be so tactless as to pry.
