Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 244: Nightfall
But Zhao Yinyin on the other side did not tolerate them either.
Despite her delicate-sounding name, Zhao Yinyin had been a notorious "little firecracker" in her neighborhood before being thrown into the survival world. If you talked nonsense in front of her, she would see to it that you shut up.
Zhao Yinyin rolled her eyes and started typing rapidly.
Zhao Yinyin: "Believe it or not, it’s none of my business. Anyway, I’ve shared what I know with you. Listen or don’t. I didn’t ask you to believe me."
Zhao Yinyin: "If you’re so capable, you probably don’t care about my information, right? Then please don’t believe me."
Zhao Yinyin: "You can talk a good game with just your lips, but I don’t have your skills. Anyway, I only have three months to survive in this world. Just you wait. I have plenty of time to keep an eye on you."
Zhao Yinyin: "I will always be watching you, forever!"
After finishing, Zhao Yinyin felt great.
Wang Jiabao was furious when he saw Zhao Yinyin’s messages, but he could not refute them, because they were all true. They were inside the research institute! They also knew about the research institute. Not only that, they had been caught, and their identities as outsiders had been exposed. If he and Li Gao had not still been somewhat useful to these people, they might have become test subjects for the research institute as well!
The thought of the word "experiment" suddenly sent a shiver down Wang Jiabao’s spine. No! He did not want to become a test subject for those inhuman beings! They had said that if he could lure outsiders over, he would not have to be a test subject! Yesterday he had tricked two survivors into coming here, and the owl had even praised him and brought him a very good meal. What did this show? It meant they kept their word!
Thinking of this, Wang Jiabao excitedly opened the list of the special channel. He wanted to find a few people who did not speak often. If he could fool them a little, he was sure he could trick a few more into joining!
At 7:30 p.m., Lin Yun had already turned off the lights in the shop. She moved closer to the window and looked outside through the clear glass. Not long after, a monster passed by on the street outside.
Unlike the Fairy Tale Forest, which was pitch black at night, Monster City had streetlights. There were not many, but enough to let people spot the monsters. These monsters were enormous, each as large as a small mountain.
"Hey, that monster looks a bit like a crocodile, doesn’t it?"
Sang Biao and the others had followed Lin Yun and crouched by the window to observe the situation outside. Lin Yun looked in the direction Sang Biao’s claw was pointing. The monster lingering under the streetlight had skin on its head that did indeed resemble crocodile skin, as rough and calloused as withered wood, and it also had a tail behind it. However, the tail was covered with pustules from which green pus was oozing, which was gruesome and made it impossible to recognize the tail’s original appearance. Lin Yun frowned, feeling a little nauseous.
"That monster looks a bit like some kind of bird," Tuan Tuan chimed in from the side.
The monster Tuan Tuan was talking about had a pair of wings, but Lin Yun was not familiar with birds, so she could not tell for the moment what kind of bird’s wings they were. But strangely, the creature also had a pair of ears on its head, like a feline’s ears...
Something suddenly flashed through Lin Yun’s mind, but it was too fast for her to grasp.
As announced by the authorities, the gates of Monster City were closed, and no one was wandering around outside. It was very quiet. Lin Yun watched for a while longer, then went to the back to lie down and rest. There was no point in continuing to stare, so she might as well sleep.
...
In the Fairy Tale Forest.
"Are you sure she can really help us?"
"Why not? You’ve all come out safe and sound now, haven’t you?"
The woman in white snorted coldly. If it had not been for the fact that her tribe was also being targeted, she would not have wanted to cooperate with these people. The man in black robes fell silent.
"All right. You should hurry up and contact your tribe. If I’m not mistaken, the giant rat tribe has been eyeing your tribe for a while, haven’t they? Your tribe used to have a lot of people, but now..."
The man in black glared at the woman in white. "You think you’re the only one with a mouth?"
The woman in white smiled, looking down on the other party because of what they had done to the human race. They had looked down on her before, and they still did now. It was just a pity for the humans who had been killed by them.
The man in black robes naturally saw the mocking smile on the woman in white’s lips. He felt a lump in his throat and was speechless. They had already realized their mistake, hadn’t they? Why was she still harping on it? It was not these few people who had wanted to do that in the first place... They had also been deceived, okay? He suddenly felt a little wronged.
"Stop pretending with me. Just tell me whether you did it or not." The woman in white thought, He’s acting aggrieved? How shameless! and immediately retorted.
The man in black quickly composed himself and became obedient. But he was indeed in the wrong, so he should think about how to make it up to them. Although they might not accept it. The man in black sighed and silently waited with the woman in white in the Fairy Tale Forest.
Three o’clock in the morning.
"Still sleeping? Time to go!"
The woman in white called out to him, but the guy had already fallen asleep. She kicked him twice in exasperation. The man in black robes was kicked and fell to the ground. He was about to curse when he saw that it was the woman in white who had kicked him, and he immediately fell silent. The people squatting nearby dared not utter a sound. They were obedient and compliant.
"Let’s go!"
The group quickly followed the woman in white, heading toward Monster City. However, instead of heading toward the city gate, they found a relatively low section of the city wall.
"Ahem... Thank you for your hard work."
The man in black robes glanced cautiously at the woman in white. She took off her robe and glared fiercely at them. What a bunch of useless trash! Not a single one of them could fly! Oh, it was not that there had never been any, but those were all in the past.
The woman in white transformed back into her beast form, slowly growing larger, and then gestured for them to climb on. The others did not dare waste any time and quickly climbed onto her body.
Just then, the nearby monsters spotted them and immediately charged toward them. The woman in white glanced at the charging monsters, flapped her wings, and flew into the air. It had happened earlier than she expected. It seemed she needed to study the perfume further. Otherwise, being constantly chased by these monsters was not a solution.
Her intention was quite clear. She flew straight toward the research institute. A short while later, she landed near it.
"Hey, has she arrived yet?"
"What’s the rush? I need to see for myself."
The woman in white glared back, clearly annoyed. If it had not been for these unlucky guys overhearing her plan and insisting on coming along to see for themselves, she would not have brought this bunch of good-for-nothings with her.
Just then, a little green man emerged from the bushes not far from them.
