Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 253 The Humble Crocodile Maple
Several giant rats stormed into the tea room, ransacked it, and threw many things onto the floor. The implication was self-evident. The teahouse owner was extremely anxious and wanted to stop them, but because of the giant rat tribe’s power, he could only watch helplessly. Then he remembered who was responsible for all this and could only secretly glare at those people behind their backs. He should have known better than to take this job these past few days! Look what had been done to his teahouse! The teahouse owner was now kicking himself.
After searching back and forth to make sure no one was there, the giant rats reluctantly withdrew.
A giant rat approached Shu Bei and said, "Lord Shu Bei, we couldn’t find anyone in the tea room."
Another giant rat also came over and whispered, "Lord Shu Bei, I just asked the people nearby. They said that Miss Shu Nan did appear here, but the tea room she entered is not the same one Crocodile Lan was in."
After listening to the two reports, Shu Bei’s face darkened. How could that be? Because there was a performance in Fairy Tale Town today, the area was packed with people. Since Shu Nan had appeared here, how could she have just disappeared into thin air? How exactly had Crocodile Lan done it?
"See, I already told you. I’ve never seen her. But you actually lost Miss Shu Nan! She’s your sister! Even if she made a mistake, she’s still your sister. How could you treat her like that!"
Crocodile Lan had known all along that Shu Bei would not find any clues, so he was fearless. His expression grew increasingly sincere.
Shu Bei suddenly sneered, approached Crocodile Lan, who was being held down, and whispered in his ear, "I know you hid Shu Nan, but it doesn’t matter. I will find her."
There was one more thing he had not told Crocodile Lan. Even if Crocodile Lan hid Shu Nan, it would not work, because his good sister had a heart that could not tolerate anyone framing her. In such a situation, his dear sister would be more likely to return on her own to prove her innocence. It was just a pity for Crocodile Lan. He did not understand his sister at all.
"Take him away."
Shu Bei straightened up and, without another word, ordered his men to take Crocodile Lan away. Crocodile Lan kept questioning Shu Bei. He was not afraid of Shu Bei. Even if Shu Bei was certain that he had done it, it was useless, because he had no evidence. Shu Bei had Crocodile Lan taken straight back to the giant rat tribe’s territory, and he also sent for Crocodile Lan’s older brother, Crocodile Maple.
On the way, Crocodile Maple already knew what had happened, and as soon as he saw Crocodile Lan, he stepped forward and slapped him. After glaring at him fiercely, Crocodile Maple immediately turned to Shu Bei and apologized obsequiously, saying that he had not managed his subordinate well and asking Shu Bei not to hold it against him, as he would take the man back and discipline him properly.
Shu Bei waved his hand. "Crocodile Maple, you should know that I have plenty of ways to kill him. If it weren’t for your sake, there would be a corpse in front of you right now."
Crocodile Maple’s hands were clenched tightly at his sides, and his head was lowered. He knew that Shu Bei was warning them. So when he came, he had not cared whether Crocodile Lan was the one who did it or not. Even if it had not been him, it could only have been him.
"I know, Lord Shu Bei. I’ll go back and teach him a lesson."
"Well, I’m in a good mood today, so I’ll let him off the hook. By the way, this brat has some nerve. We’ll have to put him in a good position," Shu Bei said meaningfully.
"Yes." Crocodile Maple bowed his head and responded, then ordered his men to take away Crocodile Lan, who was covered in wounds.
After being slapped by Crocodile Maple, Crocodile Lan kept his head down and remained silent the entire time. The little bit of brotherly affection he had had for Crocodile Maple was completely destroyed by that slap.
After they returned to the crocodile territory, Crocodile Maple had Crocodile Lan thrown into a small dark room and ignored him. Sometimes he was quite annoyed with Crocodile Lan. He felt that Crocodile Lan was love-struck and had to like someone he could never have, even though he clearly did not have the ability to be with her. Now that Miss Shu Nan had disappeared, Shu Bei was going to pin it on him. Even if he had not done it, he would have to admit it, whether he wanted to or not. Crocodile Maple was furious, but since Crocodile Lan was his own younger brother, he could not simply ignore him.
Lin Yun and Miss Rabbit, who had just watched a grand show in Fairy Tale Town, were still strolling around inside.
Miss Rabbit’s eyes darted around, and she whispered, "Where do you think Miss Shu Nan is hidden?"
Lin Yun shrugged. Even if she knew, she could not just blurt it out. "I don’t know, but I’m quite curious. I didn’t expect Crocodile Lan to be so powerful. He actually managed to get her out. Tsk, tsk."
Miss Rabbit clicked her tongue twice and did not continue the topic. After strolling around Fairy Tale Town, the two returned to the Fairy Tale Forest.
Lin Yun went straight to Monster City, thinking she would open the shop and then come back to check on the teahouse later that night. She was quite curious about what would happen next.
As soon as she arrived at the shop entrance, she saw Kong Ling staring at her with a deadpan expression.
Lin Yun: "?" What kind of expression was that?
Kong Ling: "Everyone else opens their shops early in the morning to sell their goods, but you’re the opposite, opening your shop late in the afternoon."
"So what? Is my stuff not delicious? Not fragrant? As the saying goes, good wine needs no bush, brother."
Lin Yun smiled and opened the door. When she had gone back yesterday, she had already arranged the items on the shelves.
"You seem to have a lot of free time, coming to the shop every day."
Kong Ling snorted and pulled up a chair to sit down. "So what? I can afford to be idle."
Lin Yun was too lazy to pay attention to him. She figured he would leave on his own after sitting for a while. Sure enough, Kong Ling left on his own not long after, which left Lin Yun somewhat confused and bewildered.
After selling out the day’s goods, Lin Yun closed the shop door and began placing the goods for tomorrow’s sale on the shelves.
Ding, ding, ding.
It was a message notification from her personal panel. Lin Yun opened it and saw that it was from Yao Anna, whom she had not contacted for several days.
Anna Yao: "Sister Lin, I think I’ve discovered something incredible?"
Anna Yao: "[Image.jpg]"
Lin Yun opened the larger version of the image and examined it carefully. The photo was not very clear, clearly taken in a panic. However, behind the trees in the picture, there was a white building, vaguely visible, and there were even people patrolling nearby. But the picture was unclear, and Lin Yun could not tell what race the patrolling people were.
Lin Yun asked, "Where was this taken?"
Anna Yao: "The Blood Moon Forest of the Northern Continent."
Lin Yun raised an eyebrow. This person was still in the Blood Moon Forest? And still staying with the Bloodmoon race? She was really courageous enough.
Lin Yun asked, "What is that building? And what are those patrolling races?"
Anna Yao: "I don’t know much about that building, but I think it’s very strange that it would appear in the Blood Moon Forest."
