But this child is usually strong-willed, who dares to provoke her easily?

Unless she’s been greatly wronged, otherwise she wouldn’t cry like this.

"Mom... Mom..." He Yueyue cried as she rushed into Liang Xiuzhu’s arms.

"What happened? How did you end up crying like this just after going to buy some salt?" Liang Xiuzhu gently patted He Yueyue’s shoulder and asked.

"Grandpa Shi bullied me!" He Yue sobbed as she recounted the incident.

Liang Xiuzhu trembled with anger upon hearing this.

She couldn’t believe that the shop owner, who usually seemed so sincere and kind, would do such a thing to her daughter.

In terms of seniority, he was an elder in the village.

No one could have imagined that he was such a beast in human disguise.

"Mom... are you okay?" He Yue was startled to see her usually gentle mother this angry, thinking it was something very serious.

"I’m fine! I’m fine!" Liang Xiuzhu repeatedly comforted her, saying, "You stay at home, don’t go anywhere. Mommy will be back soon."

"Mom, where are you going?" He Yue quickly asked after wiping her tears.

"Don’t worry about it. Just wait for my news at home." After saying that, Liang Xiuzhu picked up a large broom from the yard and headed out.

Her whole life she had been mild-mannered, to put it bluntly, a bit soft, and didn’t want to easily make enemies.

But this time, for her daughter, she was willing to disregard everything.

Listening to He Yueyue’s words, each sentence felt like a stab to her heart, both painful and distressing.

Although Yueyue didn’t suffer much loss, her good daughter being targeted by an old man with such filthy intentions, who wouldn’t be outraged upon hearing it?

Liang Xiuzhu gripped the broom tightly, her anger surging, as she walked out, only to run into He Fusheng and Ning Chenguang who just returned from the town.

"What happened to you? Where are you going with that big broom?" He Fusheng quickly asked, seeing his wife looking ready to fight someone.

"That bastard Shi Yukuan! He actually set his sights on our child!" Liang Xiuzhu cursed angrily, "You truly can’t judge a book by its cover. Even though the village kids all call him Grandpa, he can still do such a beastly thing."

Upon hearing this, He Fusheng felt something was amiss: "Xiuzhu, tell me clearly what’s going on here?"

"I can’t explain now, I’ll settle the score with that old bastard first." Liang Xiuzhu, fueled with anger, would not let this go without standing up for her daughter.

"Don’t get worked up! You need to tell me about this, we’ll figure out a solution together!" He Fusheng held his wife back, knowing once this blew up, it wouldn’t be hidden; the whole village would find out.

"I got it." Ning Chenguang, seeing how angry Liang Xiuzhu was, immediately understood, "Did something happen to Yueyue?"

"How did you know?" Liang Xiuzhu was surprised.

"That old bastard bullied Yueyue, right?" Ning Chenguang asked with wide eyes.

"Yes!" Liang Xiuzhu nodded painfully.

Ning Chenguang said nothing more, turned around, and ran towards the house.

He Yue was sitting in the yard crying. Hearing footsteps, she looked up, with two streams of tears still on her face.
