Chapter 2824: This Is Love

Early the next morning, He Yue was heading to school, and An Hao accompanied her.

The teacher wanted to talk to the parents, so An Hao, as He Yue’s guardian, was naturally going along. She also wanted to discuss the matter with the teacher, hoping that joint efforts from parents and teachers could help He Yue achieve good grades.

As they were about to leave, Ning Chenyang greeted her with a smile, saying, “I’m heading back to the army! Hope next time I’m back, I’ll see your grades have drastically improved! You’re so smart, don’t let the old Ning Family down!”

He Yue blushed at Ning Chenyang’s teasing: “I know. Don’t worry, I definitely won’t get such embarrassing scores next time!”

“Alright, I look forward to your good grades!”

“Brother Chenyang, I wish you success in getting into the special forces unit!” He Yue smiled and lightly wished him well.

“Thanks a lot!”

After saying goodbye to Ning Chenyang, He Yue prepared to go to school, but she glanced upstairs twice and still didn’t see Ning Chenguang come down.

What’s up with little brother today?

He seemed a bit strange yesterday too! For some reason, He Yue vaguely felt a slight resistance from her little brother…? She hoped it was just her imagination.

The door had closed, and the living room quieted down.

Ning Chenyang picked up his phone to send a message to Tian Nan, then put down the phone and headed upstairs.

He knocked on the door. After hearing permission to enter, he opened it to find Ning Chenguang busy packing his luggage.

“Why are you packing your luggage?” Ning Chenyang asked bewildered, “Going out?”

“Going to live at school!” He replied, putting his clothes into a suitcase one by one, “Last night, mom and dad talked to me, and I think they made a good point.”

“Do you also like Yueyue?”

“Yes.” Ning Chenguang said truthfully, “Being with her, I feel this stirring feeling! I think that’s love!”

“Pfft… haha! My brother’s grown into a poet!” Ning Chenyang couldn’t help but laugh.

“Don’t laugh. Be serious! I’m having a serious conversation with you!” Ning Chenguang didn’t find it funny at all. Last night, when Yueyue secretly kissed him, he realized his presence distracted her.

So, he hoped he could move out and give Yueyue some time to focus on her studies.

“I’m having a serious conversation with you too.” Ning Chenyang said seriously, “I agree with your idea. Anyway, your Yueyue is utterly devoted to you, no matter what, she won’t escape your grasp. If you open your arms, I bet my future sister-in-law would fly straight into them!”

Ning Chenguang glanced at him lightly and said slowly, “Bro, you’re getting more and more unserious!”

“How am I unserious?” Ning Chenyang pointed to his serious face, “Look, I’m all serious here!”

Ning Chenguang wasn’t in the mood to nag with his brother. He changed the topic directly after two sentences: “I heard you’re heading back to the army today, I’ll treat you to lunch, choose the place!”

“Thanks!” Ning Chenyang patted his shoulder, “I appreciate your gesture, but I’ve already made plans with Nannan for lunch. She’s treating me to a farewell meal.”

“Putting romance over a brother!” Ning Chenguang retorted.

The bright sun shone, white clouds dotted the deep blue sky, a cool breeze began to declare the arrival of fall.

Ning Chenyang stood outside a prearranged Western restaurant, hands in pockets, occasionally pulling out his phone to check the time.
