"Dabai!"

Lu Jihan and Song Yinyin almost shouted out simultaneously.

At the moment they saw their son, the couple’s eyes reddened, yearning to rush over and embrace Dabai.

But both remained rational, knowing the first thing to do was to rescue Song Dabai from that cold metal cabinet.

The couple worked together, carefully helping Song Dabai out of the cabinet. Lu Jihan untied the ropes on his hands and feet, while Song Yinyin removed the cloth from his mouth.

Once freed, Song Dabai couldn’t hold back anymore and lunged into Song Yinyin’s arms.

"Mommy, Daddy, why did you come so late? Boohoo, I was so scared, boohoo, it was so dark, so dark..."

"Dabai, I’m sorry, Mommy came late." Song Yinyin also couldn’t care about anything else, grabbed her son, and cried together with him.

God knows how scared she was, afraid that one mistake would lead to her son’s tragedy.

Thankfully, her son was alright.

Watching this scene, Lu Jihan’s eyes also turned red, feeling moved.

He embraced his wife and son’s bodies, holding them tightly in his arms, closing his eyes to feel their warmth.

In this world, nothing is more important than the two of them.

Losing either of them is unimaginable to him!

After who knows how long, Song Yinyin’s emotions slowly settled a bit.

She looked up at her son’s little face, couldn’t help but cup his cheeks and asked, "Dabai, tell Mommy and Daddy, who exactly brought you here?"

"I don’t know."

The little fellow pouted and said, "After Auntie dropped me off at school, I suddenly wanted to pee, so I went to the restroom next to the playground, and when I came out, I bumped into an uncle..."

"I couldn’t see what the uncle looked like, he immediately tore off my phone watch and covered my nose and mouth with a rag. I don’t know what kind of rag that was, it was so smelly, disgusting, ugh—"

While recounting, Song Dabai pinched his nose and gagged.

Song Yinyin reached out to wipe the tears from his eyes and asked, "Dabai, were those candies left by you on purpose?"

"Yes." Song Dabai nodded.

Actually, the little guy has always behaved courageously.

He even knew to leave signs in the grove, otherwise Lu Jihan and Song Yinyin wouldn’t have found him so quickly.

Song Dabai pouted, weakly looking at Lu Jihan, saying:

"Daddy, did I disappoint you? I forgot all the self-defense moves you taught me..."

Lu Jihan, seeing this, couldn’t help being moved and lightly rubbed his son’s forehead with his hand, saying, "Dabai, you are very brave, Daddy and Mommy are proud of you."

Song Dabai was overjoyed, a radiant smile appearing on his face.

"Daddy, rest assured, next time I’ll definitely use what you taught me to beat the bad guy to a pulp!"

Lu Jihan and Song Yinyin listened and couldn’t help but laugh and cry.

"Silly boy, for this kind of thing, Daddy and Mommy would rather there be no next time!"

The son truly has grown up. In the past, he might have been frightened pale, stunned, and unable to speak for a long time.

But today, he showed extraordinary adaptability and successfully averted danger.

Yet it was Lu Jihan and Song Yinyin, the parents, who were frightened because of this for quite a while.

Especially Song Yinyin, until they arrived at the school gate, her eyes were still red as she held her son’s little body and wouldn’t let go.
