The following morning, Subin Vans stood in front of the Awakener Association's dungeon information terminal, studying the data for the Stone Guardian Ruins.

Unlike the Forest Fang Nest, which had been filled with fast-moving beasts, the Stone Guardian Ruins had a completely different environment. The dungeon was located beneath what had once been an abandoned historical site, and its entrance had appeared three days after the first dungeon formations began. The Association had already sent two C-Rank parties inside, but neither had reached the deepest floor.

The official classification was C-Rank.

The estimated monster levels ranged from fifteen to twenty-two.

The dungeon was also known for its defensive monsters. Stone Guardians, armored constructs, earth beasts, and several types of animated statues had been recorded inside. Most physical attacks were significantly less effective against them than against ordinary biological monsters.

For Subin, that made it interesting.

He had spent the previous evening studying the information Director Han had given him. He wasn't going into the dungeon blindly. He wanted to understand the environment before entering it.

The Association's recommendation was to form a party of at least four C-Rank Awakeners.

Subin had no intention of doing that unless necessary.

He had reached C-Rank, but his actual combat ability was already considerably higher than the rank suggested. More importantly, he wanted to discover exactly where his limits were.

"You're really going alone."

Kang Min-jae's voice came from behind him.

Subin turned.

Min-jae was carrying a tablet and looking at him with an expression that suggested he had already guessed the answer before asking.

"I am."

"Of course."

Min-jae walked beside him and looked at the dungeon information.

"The Association doesn't prohibit you from entering alone, but I need to make the risk clear. Stone Guardian Ruins is not like Forest Fang Nest. Those monsters don't bleed, they don't tire easily, and some of them can reinforce their bodies with mana."

"How strong?"

"The strongest confirmed monster was Level 22."

Subin nodded.

"That's enough."

"Enough for what?"

"To be worth entering."

Min-jae shook his head.

"You really are strange."

Subin smiled.

"I've been told that."

He completed the registration.

The entrance wasn't a dark cave like Goblin's Hollow or Forest Fang Nest.

It looked like an ancient stone doorway standing in the middle of a ruined underground structure.

Large stone pillars surrounded it.

The others looked over.

Subin ignored the attention and walked toward the entrance.

"Solo entry?"

"Yes."

The staff member hesitated.

"I know."

The staff member looked at Min-jae, who had followed him.

Min-jae sighed.

"Let him go."

The staff member reluctantly nodded.

"Understood. Please remember that the Association recommends immediate withdrawal if your condition deteriorates."

"I will."

Subin stepped toward the entrance.

The moment he crossed the threshold, the world changed.

The temperature dropped.

The sunlight disappeared.

A vast stone corridor stretched ahead.

Unlike the natural tunnels of previous dungeons, this place had clearly been constructed.

Stone walls.

Stone floors.

Massive pillars.

Statues standing at regular intervals.

Subin slowly drew the Silver Fang Sword.

Nothing moved.
