Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash
Chapter 298 - 194: 1 Sword, Part 2
Chapter 298: Chapter 194: 1 Sword, Part 2
Lu Anning was already standing outside, head tilted up as she stared blankly at the bright moon, lost in her own thoughts.
"..."
"We’re going out too."
The four who had witnessed Su Xing’s strength didn’t hesitate to head outside either. Though they didn’t know what he was planning, they knew he would never harm his own brother. Sticking with Su Yu meant they would be safe.
The others, however, had never seen Su Xing in action. They didn’t even understand this sudden arrangement, leaving them utterly bewildered and unsure of what to do.
However,
with these people taking the lead, more and more people cast aside their reservations and began to follow the crowd out of the resort.
In the end,
only three people remained, unwilling to leave. All the other members of the special organization and the ordinary people had evacuated the Summer Resort.
In truth,
those who left didn’t have it easy.
The Extraordinary Beings were fine; they had seen far too much to be easily rattled. But the ordinary people were struggling to cope.
It was the dead of night in an old village deep in the mountains. Looking up, they could see nothing but a blanket of white mist. It was like they had been transported into a horror film.
The moment these ordinary people stepped outside, they felt as if they were being watched by countless pairs of eyes, causing their palms to sweat and their bodies to go cold.
As a result,
many began to whisper among themselves, the conversation inevitably turning to their regrets about leaving and their resentment toward Su Yu.
BANG!
A dark figure suddenly shattered a third-floor window of the resort, plummeted from the sky, and landed steadily right in front of them.
The move
startled quite a few people.
The uninformed members of the special organization, in particular, immediately gathered their sequence energy. With just a light pat from Su Xing, however, their energy obediently dispersed and vanished.
"..."
The Sequencers were stunned into silence.
Only the four Sequencers who had witnessed Su Xing before immediately stepped forward, along with Su Yu and Lu Anning, who also emerged from the crowd. They addressed him:
"Elder Li."
"Bro."
"Coach Su."
Although the titles were different,
they all referred to the same person:
Su Xing.
"..."
The remaining members of the special organization and the ordinary people all stared with wide eyes. The civilians weren’t particularly moved; they had no concept of the Extraordinary World, so the appearance of one more Extraordinary Being didn’t seem like a big deal. They were simply shocked that Su Xing had just descended from the sky.
The members of the special organization, however,
were a different story.
The name Su Xing had actually been a hot topic within the special organization for a time when Su Yu first joined. Everyone knew that this genius rookie had an older brother who couldn’t have been more ordinary.
But...
"Alright, take them all away. Get them farther from here."
Su Xing spoke, his eyes fixed on the Summer Resort, which still glimmered with orange and yellow lights.
Shrouded in mist, the popular tourist destination now resembled a ravenous demon lying in wait. Staring at it for too long gave one an unsettling, bone-deep chill.
"But..."
"There are still three people who haven’t come out."
The man’s sense of duty as a member of the special organization made him unwilling to abandon any innocent person. Su Xing glanced at him, saw he wasn’t one of the original four, and decided to explain.
"Leave."
"Those three aren’t coming out."
"What do you mean?"
The man was clearly confused.
’The gate is right there,’
’can’t they just walk out?’
"Elder Li..."
"Are the three of them monsters?"
A member of the special organization who had witnessed Su Xing’s strength asked respectfully.
"Yes."
"Hurry and go."
"If you don’t go now, it’ll be too late."
Su Xing nodded as he spoke.
He then paused to think, waving Lu Anning over. Once she was beside him, he spoke in a low voice.
"I’m sorry."
"Your friend is already dead."
"The dead can’t be brought back to life, but I’ve avenged her for you."
"I see."
Seeing that Zhao Xue hadn’t left with them, Lu Anning had already suspected as much. Her emotions were now a complicated mix of sadness and relief.
The sadness,
naturally, was because Zhao Xue was dead.
The relief,
however, was that Zhao Xue hadn’t truly become a monster.
"Alright."
"You should go with Su Yu."
"His strength alone might not be enough. Help me look after him. I’ll come find you as soon as I’ve dealt with things here."
"Okay."
"Coach Su, be careful."
Lu Anning said with concern before returning to Su Yu’s side. After that, no one dared to delay a moment longer. They all took off in the same direction.
The Summer Resort was adjacent to the village, so they naturally didn’t dare head that way. Instead, they chose another direction that looked safer.
Only after everyone had left did Su Xing let out a soft breath and mutter to himself:
"I hope that after dealing with you... I can find the mastermind behind this."
Even though Su Xing had saved the civilians, he still had no leads on Li Yu’s whereabouts. The origin of this Secret Realm also required further investigation.
But,
those were all matters for later.
Su Xing gripped the Black Sword in his hand, thinking, ’Ever since I brought all my sword skills to the fifth rank, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered an opponent worthy of my full power.’
Indeed, the enemies he had faced recently were either far too strong or far too weak.
This also meant that Su Xing had never had the chance to test the full destructive power of his strongest strike.
Now, there was no one around.
The enemies weren’t particularly strong, but at least they were durable. It was the perfect opportunity to test out his ultimate strike.
Suddenly, a profound ripple emanated from Su Xing’s head, spreading down his entire body. He seemed to vanish from his spot, replaced by an overwhelmingly powerful and terrifying sword presence.
Then,
beside Su Xing’s Black Sword,
a pure white longsword quietly materialized.
The white sword trembled slightly,
and with each tremor, cracks spiderwebbed through the surrounding space.
"Sky-Piercer."
As if making his final preparations,
Su Xing’s lips parted slightly. The two words "Sky-Piercer" floated out softly. Simultaneously, he raised his arm and thrust forward.
As if sensing the terrifying aura on the edge of Su Xing’s sword, a series of enraged howls erupted from deep within the Summer Resort. Simultaneously, monstrous figures appeared on the windowsills of various floors, their arms outstretched as they stared intently at Su Xing.
Their posture, however, didn’t seem threatening or menacing. It looked more like they were begging Su Xing to spare them.
HUMMM!!!
The terrifying sword presence lashed out instantly!
It transformed into a colossal white sword, two or three stories high, and shot forward! Like an interstellar warship, it slammed directly into the Summer Resort!
The colossal white sword instantly engulfed the monsters hiding in the Summer Resort. The moment they were struck, they were utterly disintegrated by the razor-sharp sword presence, their bodies exploding into countless tiny fragments that scattered everywhere.
Its power undiminished, the white sword carved its way into the deepest parts of the Summer Resort. It tore through everything in its path, even shattering space itself and creating a terrifyingly powerful shockwave that blasted out in all directions.
Under this world-ending display of power, the sword strike and the chain of explosions completely leveled everything around the Summer Resort.
With a single strike, the sword had completely pierced through the Summer Resort. It continued for an unknown distance until it struck a great mountain, slicing off its peak before finally dissipating.
Everything in its path was utterly destroyed. The ground was covered with innumerable slash marks, and from beneath this dense web of gashes, a crimson substance resembling magma could be seen slowly oozing to the surface.
As for the Summer Resort, it was now nothing but ruins. It looked as if it had been hit by an atomic bomb; only a few sturdy alloy beams remained standing.
At this moment,
Su Xing seemed to be in a bit of a daze.
He had never felt this way when fighting his various powerful enemies. It was only now, witnessing his own terrifying destructive power, that he truly grasped the horrifying extent of his own strength.
Suddenly, from beneath the flattened ruins of the resort, a glimmer of light appeared.
