Chapter 478 - 277: A Freak Even More Monstrous Than a True Spirit Descendant (Part 2)
...
"So the reason they suddenly stopped is because they found the Highly Poisonous King’s head?"
In the council chamber, Sunan showed a thoughtful expression after listening to Sherman’s report.
"Yes, teacher," Sherman said confidently. "The head is in a remote mountain forest. The large Wizard Influences such as the Deep Blue Alliance, Dark Throne, Star Spirit Bell Tower, and Bloodline Jungle have already sealed it off and are in a standoff. Other wizard forces are on their way there."
After two months of war, only a dozen wizard forces remain in the Earth Crystal Plane, four of which are affiliates of the Wisdom Code.
"It shouldn’t be," Fakado questioned. "The entire Earth Crystal Plane has been thoroughly searched, including the deep sea, and there has been no discovery. Why has the Highly Poisonous King’s head suddenly been found now?"
Sherman shook his head. "That, I don’t know."
Lize picked up the conversation, "Cyril came again this morning, requesting the Star Alliance to head to the location of the Highly Poisonous King’s head. It seems the Wisdom Code is also determined to compete for this head."
"Should we agree?"
Everyone looked at Sunan, awaiting the latter’s decision.
Sunan sat at the head of the table, a gleam of contemplation in his eyes.
The battle for the Divine Corpse has been going on for half a year, yet his initial doubt remains unanswered.
That is, why has this battle evolved into a wizard civil war?
Despite the recent enthusiastic fighting among the wizard forces, their troops in the Earth Crystal Plane are just a small part of the whole.
Compared to the entire Wizard World, it’s just a small-scale battle, with no True Spirit Wizard truly involved.
Once they leave the Earth Crystal Plane, everything will return to normal.
If everything follows the current trend, no wizard civil war would occur.
Unless... a major event occurs in the later stages of the battle, triggering a wizard civil war!
And now, it seems that the head of the Highly Poisonous King might be the catalyst.
Could there be a hidden secret where the head is located?
With these thoughts rapidly crossing his mind, Sunan quickly made his decision and said in a deep voice, "Agree to the Wisdom Code’s request. Mobilize the troops immediately to head for the Highly Poisonous King’s head."
After a pause, he changed his tone.
"But the Star Alliance should not deeply engage in the battle. Once we reach the destination, first station the troops on the outskirts. Don’t get too close and be prepared to withdraw at any time."
Everyone looked at each other, not quite understanding Sunan’s intent.
Lize was the first to react, furrowing her brows, "Do you think it’s dangerous there?"
"It’s possible."
Since this was mere speculation without factual basis, Sunan didn’t make it too clear.
"The main force to seize the Highly Poisonous King’s head will surely be those large Wizard Influences. Even if we join the battle, we’re just extras, not worth too much effort. It’s enough to deploy some manpower and maintain appearances."
Everyone thought so too.
Though as an affiliate of the Wisdom Code, they have an obligation to assist in the battle, they can’t commit all their forces.
After all, facing large Wizard Influences, if they exert too much effort, they might suffer significant losses.
Moreover, the Star Alliance’s forces in the Earth Crystal Plane are already far superior to other affiliate organizations. Even sending a part of their forces would be more than those three other affiliates.
The Wisdom Code wouldn’t have much to say about this.
Seeing no opposition, Sunan immediately gave the order.
"Move out immediately!"
"Yes, my lord."
Everyone responded in unison.
The Star Alliance’s base quickly became busy.
After four months of repair, the flying fleet and Stellar Fortress damaged in the Black Rope Tower battle have all been restored.
Although the Wizard Tower hasn’t been fully repaired, its flying ability has also been restored.
One by one, the Wizard Towers and Stellar Fortresses, along with densely packed Magic Ships, soon took off from the Star Alliance’s base, flying toward the destination, blocking out the sky and covering the sun.
On the ground, there was an orderly march of Golem Puppets, with the formations extending far into the distance, seemingly endless.
When the Star Alliance’s army arrived near the forest, they quickly attracted the attention of the major Wizard Influences.
Deep Blue Alliance camp.
A group of wizards stared at the scene of the Star Alliance’s march on the screen, all showing expressions of surprise.
"A third-rate wizard force capable of transporting so many troops?"
"Not just that, the Star Alliance fought a battle with the Black Rope Tower, probably suffering significant losses. Their initial force must have been even stronger."
"What is the background of this Star Alliance? How can a wizard force developed from a sealed plane be so powerful?"
"What does Jiale think?"
Everyone looked at the young man at the head of the conference table.
He was handsome, tall, and had a rare head of sea-blue hair.
In the Deep Blue Alliance, this is often a symbol of the True Spirit Descendant.
Facing their gazes, Jiale responded with a faint smile, "I’m more interested in their leader than in the Star Alliance itself."
"You mean Sunan?" a wizard pondered, "According to reports, during the Star Alliance’s war with the Black Rope Tower not long ago, Sunan single-handedly took out more than two hundred Level 1 Wizards, sealing the victory."
"More than two hundred wizards? Are you sure the intelligence is correct?" someone questioned.
"The intelligence is accurate." Jiale stared intently at the screen, "If nothing unexpected happens, Sunan will sooner or later ascend to a True Spirit Wizard. It probably won’t be long before the Star Alliance steps into the ranks of second-rate Wizard Influences."
Seeing Jiale vouch for the accuracy of the intelligence, everyone no longer doubted and showed expressions of amazement.
To single-handedly wipe out more than two hundred Level 1 Wizards, not even many True Spirit Descendants in Level 3 Crystallization can do that!
The key is that Sunan is only Level 3 Liquefied!
When he breaks through to Level 3 Crystallization and begins to understand the Power of Rules, how mighty will his power be?
This person is simply more monstrous than a True Spirit Descendant!
"The Wisdom Code got incredibly lucky to dig up such a good seedling."
"If I had known, we should’ve been the first to enter the Starlight Continent. Maybe we could have absorbed the Star Alliance into our organization."
"Perhaps we can poach them?"
Listening to the discussions around, Jiale remained indifferent, a glimmer of strange light flashing in his eyes.
He had thought the younger generation would be dominated by True Spirit Descendants like them. Little did he know that someone like Sunan would appear.
Not a True Spirit Descendant, yet with a talent more outstanding than many True Spirit Descendants!
Someone like this will surely have a place in the Wizard World in the future!
At the same time, at the Dark Throne camp.
The wizards of the Dark Throne were also paying attention to the Star Alliance’s army.
However, the entire council hall was unusually quiet, with no one whispering.
Everyone either stared at the screen, bowed their heads in thought, or discreetly observed Bobben at the head of the table.
Everyone present knew that it was Bobben’s father, Wood, who had initially sent Youxi to invade the Starlight Continent.
The Star Alliance killed Youxi and annexed the Wolf Tide Plane, greatly diminishing Wood’s prestige.
If the Star Alliance hadn’t later become an affiliate of the Wisdom Code, Bobben would have already led forces to attack the Starlight Continent.
Even so, to this day, Bobben hasn’t given up the idea of taking down the Star Alliance.
If it weren’t for the higher priority of the Divine Corpse fragments, he would have long attacked the Star Alliance.
The silence continued for a long time before Bobben withdrew his gaze from the screen and broke the silence.
"What’s the situation in the forest?"
Matic, sitting on his right hand, quickly responded, "We’ve located the Highly Poisonous King’s head in a cave, but there’s over sixty Divinity creatures nearby. A lightning-fast strike to seize the head doesn’t seem realistic."
Bobben frowned and asked in a deep voice, "What about the situation with the other Wizard Influences?"
"The Deep Blue Alliance and Bloodline Jungle have both sent people to invite us to negotiations. It seems they want to split the Highly Poisonous King’s head."
After a brief pause, Matic carefully glanced at Bobben before continuing, "Given the current situation, no single Wizard Influence can acquire the head with other parties obstructing them. Even if they managed to get it, they’d likely face attacks from the others, so in my view, splitting it isn’t a bad option."
Bobben remained silent for a moment, then gave a slight nod.
"Let’s talk."
