The Price of Coveting Another Man’s Beast-Girl

The man who spoke was named Norman.

He came from a family with a bit of money and influence.

His invitation to Leon wasn’t born from any genuine desire to party up.

It was because he’d caught a glimpse of the beauty following behind him.

Her figure was flawless.

Her face was stunning.

Every curve, every line of her body was pure perfection.

Her white silver hair shimmered in the light.

Her golden eyes were deep and mysterious.

Her G cup tits strained against her fitted robe.

Her narrow waist was emphasized by the gold sash.

Her peach-shaped ass swayed with each step.

Her thick thighs moved with grace and power.

And that was enough to stir something dark and greedy in his heart.

*Look at her,* Norman thought.

*Those curves.*

*That face.*

*That body.*

*She’s perfect.*

*Absolutely perfect.*

*I need to have her.*

*I need to make her mine.*

*Whatever it takes.*

It was a little-known fact, but unless a beast-girl was bound by a soul contract, she could voluntarily dissolve her bond with her master.

Which meant—through various methods—you could claim another man’s beast-girl as your own.

Norman’s eyes locked onto Selena.

Suddenly his Explosive Flame Rabbit didn’t seem so appealing anymore.

*If he could take her for himself...*

Leon didn’t even slow his pace.

"No thanks. I prefer solo runs."

In a party, experience points were split among teammates.

With Selena’s damage output, partying was completely inefficient.

"Brother, solo can’t possibly beat a team’s efficiency."

"Exactly. See that Explosive Flame Rabbit up ahead? She cuts through these tree monsters like butter."

"Being a lone wolf isn’t a good habit. Don’t blame us if you end up dead and nobody’s around to help."

Leon glanced at the Explosive Flame Rabbit.

She darted between the tree monsters.

Blade flashing.

Explosions rippling with every swing.

Reaping lives one after another.

"She’s alright, I suppose."

Leon wasn’t being modest.

Compared to the beast-girls he’d witnessed, she truly was only average.

With that, he walked straight into the depths.

The truth was—Leon genuinely didn’t have time for these people.

He was busy.

He needed to complete the breakthrough trial during the day.

And tonight, he planned to give Evelyn a proper "lesson."

Who had time to deal with irrelevant nobodies?

"Hmph! Our boss invited you out of respect. Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty?" One of Norman’s lackeys spat indignantly.

"Total newbie," another yellow-haired beast-soul master chimed in.

"I’ve seen his type before. All talk, no substance. When it comes down to it, he’s just a paper tiger. If he dies in there, he’s got nobody to blame but himself."

Norman nodded.

Looking thoroughly pleased with himself.

"Hmph. How about we..." a lackey named Otto made a throat-slitting gesture as Leon walked away.

"There’s more of us. One hit from each of us and he’d be done for."

"Otto’s got a point."

"I agree!"

At his underlings’ urging, Norman’s confidence swelled.

A-rank beast-girls came in different tiers.

His, thanks to the extra resources he’d poured in, was solidly above average.

*That woman,* Norman thought.

*She’s incredible.*

*And that idiot doesn’t deserve her.*

*He’s just some nobody with a lucky contract.*

*I have resources.*

*I have money.*

*I have power.*

*I deserve her.*

*She should be mine.*

Encouraged by his lackeys, he made a snap decision.

"Alright. That’s the plan. There aren’t many people around here anyway—kill him and be done with it!"

Norman’s family had deep pockets.

One life? He was willing to take that risk.

The group was still chattering excitedly when the young man they’d been plotting against suddenly turned back.

"B-Boss... what do we do? Do we go through with it?"

"Do it! Kill the man, keep the woman!"

Norman waved his hand grandly.

The beast-soul masters commanded their beast-girls.

Sending them charging toward Leon.

Norman watched his forces close in.

His heart practically singing with joy.

*Kill this guy, and that gorgeous woman will be mine!*

*Just looking at her makes my blood burn.*

*Actually having her would be even better!*

*Those tits. That ass. Those thighs.*

*I want to taste every inch of her.*

*I want to hear her moan my name.*

*I want to make her mine.*

He was still lost in his fantasy when—his smile froze.

The stunning woman raised a single hand.

An overwhelming pressure erupted from her.

She swung her blade downward.

Invisible sword energies shot through the air like rainbows.

Slicing across the entire field.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM!*

The beast-girls charging at Leon were torn apart like scraps of cloth.

Their bodies cleaved in two.

Blood sprayed in tragic arcs.

They crashed to the ground.

Norman stared in disbelief.

His smugness and fantasies evaporated in an instant.

Replaced by sheer, soul-crushing terror.

*Six beast-girls—all slaughtered in the blink of an eye?*

*How?*

*How is this possible?*

*She’s not just strong.*

*She’s terrifying.*

*She’s like a goddess of death.*

*And I just provoked her.*

This wasn’t a battle.

This was a massacre.

*Selena’s blade was unstoppable.*

*Every strike was perfect.*

*Every cut was fatal.*

*She moved like water.*

*Like wind.*

*Like death itself.*

Norman’s Explosive Flame Rabbit tried to dodge.

She was fast.

But Selena was faster.

One strike.

Her blade caught the rabbit beast-girl across the chest.

Blood erupted.

The beast-girl fell.

Her eyes wide.

Her body broken.

"Th-This... how is this possible?!" Norman’s voice cracked.

Echoing through the forest.

A sound of pure, desperate agony.

His lackeys were just as terrified.

They had pushed people around for so long.

Never expecting to hit a wall this hard.

Norman looked at the young man.

Regret washed over him like a tidal wave.

But it was too late now.

Those beast-girls were dead.

Including his prized A-rank Explosive Flame Rabbit.

"I... I was wrong..." Norman’s voice trembled.

"We... we were wrong too! It was him! He made us do it!"

Under the threat of death, Norman’s lackeys turned on him without hesitation.

"Please, spare us!"

"Yeah, we didn’t want to!"

"Y-You bastards!" Norman’s eyes went wide.
