The Final Clash of Divine Beasts

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Thunderous explosions tore across the arena.

The sound rolled through the massive venue like an endless storm. Each blast rattled the stone seats and made the air itself seem to tremble.

Dust and shattered stone filled the battlefield.

Cracks ran across the ground in every direction. Some were thin, spreading like spiderwebs beneath the fighters’ feet. Others were deep enough to swallow a foot if someone stepped into them carelessly.

Then, at the center of the ruined battlefield, something began to take shape.

A faint golden phantom slowly materialized.

A Suanni.

Its enormous body was almost transparent, formed from condensed energy and golden light. Yet the pressure it released was anything but illusory.

The moment it opened its mouth, a deep roar shook the arena.

RROOOAAAR!

The Suanni charged.

Its massive claws slammed against the broken ground with every step.

BOOM!

BOOM!

The battlefield trembled beneath its weight.

Loose stones bounced across the ground. Dust rose around its legs as the golden beast barreled toward Selena with terrifying momentum.

Yet Selena didn’t move.

She merely swayed slightly as the turbulent wind swept past her.

There was something different about her expression this time.

A faint trace of playfulness had appeared in her golden eyes.

Her long, white-silver hair danced wildly behind her, strands slipping across her shoulders before being carried away by the wind again.

The slit of her snow-white robe fluttered around her legs.

She looked completely at ease.

Almost as if the monstrous phantom charging toward her wasn’t worth worrying about.

Selena simply watched it approach.

For someone else, that calmness might have looked arrogant.

For Selena, it was simply confidence.

She had already fought so many matches.

Most of her opponents had barely managed to last long enough to make her move twice.

They attacked.

She responded.

The battle ended.

Simple.

Predictable.

Boring.

But this one was different.

The Suanni phantom actually had enough power to make her take notice.

And, more importantly...

Selena was enjoying herself.

That was why she hadn’t ended the fight yet.

She could have.

Everyone watching with sharp enough eyes could see it.

The moment Selena decided to get serious, the golden phantom wouldn’t last long.

But she wasn’t interested in ending things so quickly.

Not this time.

She wanted to see what the beast could do.

She wanted to enjoy the fight.

Leon noticed the change immediately.

His gaze remained fixed on Selena.

He knew her well enough to recognize the smallest differences in her expression.

Normally, Selena ended battles almost the instant they became predictable.

She had no patience for unnecessary struggles.

But now...

There was a faint smile resting at the corner of her lips.

It was barely noticeable.

Someone unfamiliar with her might not have caught it at all.

Leon did.

A smile slowly appeared on his own face.

He leaned back slightly, watching the battlefield with quiet amusement.

"So, you’re actually enjoying this, dear Selena?"

Selena glanced toward him.

"Mhm."

Her golden eyes returned to the battlefield.

"She is strong enough to make things interesting."

Evelyn stood beside Leon, her long green hair whipping in the wind. Her fitted purple robe moved around her narrow waist, while her green sash fluttered behind her.

She looked toward Selena, then toward the golden beast-soul.

"Selena, don’t play too long."

Selena’s lips curved slightly.

"I know, Evelyn."

Evelyn crossed her arms.

"I just don’t want you getting careless."

Selena gave her a sideways glance.

"Are you worried about me?"

"Of course."

Evelyn paused.

"You’re my friend."

Selena’s expression softened.

"And you’re mine."

Leon looked between the two women and chuckled.

"Both of you are worrying too much."

Evelyn turned toward him.

"Darling, you’re the one who keeps telling us not to underestimate opponents."

Leon shrugged.

"That’s because I don’t want either of you getting hurt."

The three exchanged a brief glance.

Then the pressure on the battlefield suddenly rose.

Victoria, on the opposite side, was already pale-faced.

The power of the Golden Eyed Smoke Lioness was terrifying—but the relentless assault had drained her dry.

Her breathing was heavy.

Sweat had gathered along her forehead, and her fingers trembled slightly around the remaining strength in her body.

Her black robe was dusty from the battle.

She knew it.

Steffan knew it.

Everyone watching knew it.

But she wasn’t willing to stop.

Not yet.

She took a deep breath.

The Suanni’s beast-soul surged once more—muscles coiling, aura rising—as if she was pouring every ounce of strength into her next strike.

The golden phantom behind her became brighter.

Its roar shook the arena.

Victoria’s eyes hardened.

"Golden Suanni’s Dominion!"

Victoria’s voice rang out sharp and fierce.

The Suanni’s form swelled again, transforming into a golden streak of light hurtling toward Selena.

The speed was frightening.

The air screamed around it.

Several spectators instinctively leaned backward.

"That’s her final attack!"

"She’s putting everything into it!"

"If that hits, even that white tiger might be injured!"

Selena stood still.

Her golden eyes reflected the approaching light.

For one heartbeat, she looked almost completely calm.

Then she let out a soft cry.

She clenched her fist—and charged directly into that golden light.

"Break!"

Selena threw her punch.

Her voice was cold and commanding—as if descending from the heavens.

Her fist met the incoming golden force.

As her cry echoed, a massive white tiger phantom materialized behind her—its roar shaking the very foundations of the arena.

The Divine Beast White Tiger opened its jaws.

A terrifying pressure descended.

The golden Suanni suddenly looked tiny in comparison.

Selena’s fist’s power exploded outward—compressing the air itself into a tangible shockwave.

It collided head-on with the golden Suanni’s light.

BOOM!

A deafening blast shook the entire venue.

The arena trembled.

Dust shot into the sky.

Golden light and white tiger energy intertwined and clashed in midair—exploding into a blinding radiance.

Within that light, it seemed like two giant beasts were locked in mortal combat.

The golden Suanni roared.

The Divine Beast White Tiger answered.

Every collision sent violent shockwaves rippling through the air.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The protective barrier around the arena flickered repeatedly.

The spectators could feel the impact even from their seats.

Victoria had given everything she had.

Her face was pale as paper—but her eyes still burned with unyielding fire.

She had fought with everything she had—but whether she could defeat Selena was now up to fate.

Steffan stood behind her.

His green eyes remained fixed on the battlefield.

His jaw tightened.

He had already understood the difference between them.

It wasn’t a small gap.

It was enormous.

Steffan had performed his own fortune-reading soul skill moments ago.

No matter how many times he calculated it, the answer remained the same.

Still a great calamity.

His fingers slowly tightened.

"We’re probably going to lose."

BOOM!
