Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids
Chapter 833 - 831: Candy: "Accidentally Hit the Handsome Guy.
Candy cautiously sneaked a glance at her brother, then whispered in a low voice, "Little Grey pooped in brother’s bedroom."
"What?" Zhou Yaling dug her ear. Candy’s voice was so soft that she only caught the words "Little Grey" and had no idea what Little Grey had done.
Seeing her sister’s puzzled expression, Candy awkwardly rubbed her little hands and repeated in a slightly louder voice:
"Little Grey pooped in brother’s bedroom."
This time, even Xia Xiaomin, who was sitting at her desk, heard it.
She wanted to laugh but didn’t dare, so Xia Xiaomin just held her mouth and her body shook with suppressed laughter.
Then there was Zhou Yaling, who went from being stunned with wide eyes to holding her stomach and laughing heartily.
In no time, Zhou Yaling was laughing so hard that tears came out.
The harder Zhou Yaling laughed, the more Little Grey trembled on the ground.
This was not concern; it was clearly creating resentment.
Mo Jingchun, frowning at the email he just received, had no mood to pay attention to the laughing Zhou Yaling.
The email was from the Logistics Support Department, listing damages the hailstorm caused to the company.
The ground parking lot at Candy Technology mainly housed large vehicles, so the damage was minimal, with only two vegetable transport trucks having broken windshields.
Undoubtedly, the biggest loss was to the greenery in the park, with flowers and trees mostly ravaged by the hail.
Glancing at the carefree Zhou Yaling, Mo Jingchun asked, "You don’t have any important tasks tomorrow, do you?"
Zhou Yaling paused, "No, the interns are well on track; I don’t need to supervise them daily."
"Is there something you need my help with?"
Intending to have Zhou Yaling join the Procurement Department to witness business dealings, Mo Jingchun smirked: "You can’t just always manage interns and coast along in your current position. How about tomorrow you go with the Procurement Department to purchase some plants, just observe and don’t say much."
"Learn how others source products."
In response, Zhou Yaling nonchalantly said, "Bargaining, I get it."
Mo Jingchun chuckled, "Are you sure buying one item and purchasing in bulk involve the same bargaining techniques? There’s a lot of social intricacies involved."
A suddenly intrigued Zhou Yaling leaned toward Mo Jingchun and asked quietly, "Big bro, is there an issue in the Procurement Department? Is anyone taking advantage, and you’re sending me as a spy?"
Seeing Zhou Yaling’s eager eyes, Mo Jingchun suddenly felt that letting Zhou Yaling gain more experience might have been a mistake.
.........
After a wild storm with hail, when Candy returned home, she stood in the yard listening for a long time but heard no cicada sounds.
Seeing the little sparrows on the branches, Candy scratched her head in confusion, "Zero, did all the cicadas get crushed by the hail? Why aren’t they singing?"
In the yard, Candy held a broom, and Zero wielded a large pair of shears.
As soon as they came home, Mo Jingchun had assigned them the important task of cleaning the small yard and trimming broken branches.
With a snip, Zero easily cut through a thumb-thick camellia branch with the shears.
"You’ll hear them tomorrow. Didn’t you say you hated the sound of cicadas?"
Candy raised an eyebrow, waving her broom, and said, "I only hate cicada sounds when I’m trying to sleep."
"By the way, Zero, brother said cicadas can be roasted or fried and they’re delicious. Is that true?"
Nearly finished with trimming the foliage, Zero glanced back at Candy, rolling her eyes and saying with exasperation, "I don’t know if you don’t know, and you haven’t even eaten them."
Just then, Zero made a small sound of surprise.
Candy came closer for a look and exclaimed, "Wow, a cicada just emerged from the ground, and it hasn’t shed its skin yet."
Looking up, Candy noticed Zero looking at her with an amused expression.
"What’s up?"
"There’s a cicada now, want to catch it and have the boss fry it for you to eat?"
Candy shivered and took two steps back after looking at the mud-covered cicada.
"No thanks. I was just saying."
"Then wouldn’t you hurry up with the sweeping? I’m done with the trimming."
The small yard didn’t take long for Candy to clean up, though she dawdled for over ten minutes before it was tidy.
Exhausted, Candy went inside with Zero and saw her brother relaxing with half a watermelon, watching TV, having a great time.
"Yo, done with the work?"
"The watermelon is on the table."
Hugging half a large watermelon, Candy asked her sister for a spoon.
The watermelon tasted exceptionally sweet to Candy, feeling like a reward for her labor—it was earned with sweat.
"Brother, I want to watch cartoons."
Mo Jingchun glanced at Candy and, considering her efforts today, handed over the remote control.
"Woof woof woof~"
Everyone simultaneously looked at the doghouse where Little Grey was chained up.
"What are you looking at? You didn’t work and still want watermelon?" Candy snorted, scooping a spoonful of watermelon into her mouth. Beside her, Zero seriously watched Little Grey, suddenly smiling.
"Little Grey needs to go to the bathroom."
In Candy’s bewildered gaze, Zero already walked over to take Little Grey outside.
After dinner, as night fell, Ge You lay barefoot on the sofa, laughing at the TV, occasionally scratching his stinky feet.
Next to Candy, Mo Jingchun squinted, appearing to be asleep.
In Mo Jingchun’s arms, Bun was comfortably dozing.
At some point, Candy accidentally applied too much pressure scratching her foot and lost her grip, her foot directly kicking Mo Jingchun’s face, leaving Candy stunned and at a loss.
In a half-awake state, Mo Jingchun felt a sharp pain on the left side of his face, waking up instantly.
Seeing Candy’s hands having nowhere to hide, it was evident who the culprit was without asking.
Rubbing his face, Mo Jingchun was about to scold Candy, but she giggled and said, "Oops, I accidentally hit a handsome guy."
That comment left Mo Jingchun speechless, unexpectedly subdued by the little girl’s words once again.
Rubbing his still-painful left face, it seemed less painful than before.
Mo Jingchun couldn’t help but marvel, "I want to scold her, but she called me handsome."
Sitting on Candy’s left, Zhou Yaling, who had been playing on her phone, looked up and smirked disdainfully; to avoid a lecture, she even silenced her conscience.
Performing so coyly.
Unwilling to accept it, Zhou Yaling sneered, "Last time you stepped on my foot, didn’t you call me beautiful?"
Turning to look at her sister, Candy hesitantly said, "I... I can’t lie against my conscience."
