"Be careful not to let your sister find out or she’ll beat you up, and I won’t help."

"How could that happen? I’m doing it for my sister’s good, she wouldn’t hit me. Brother, I realize you’re getting quite fond of teasing me, and now I’m starting to enjoy teasing others too."

Upon hearing this, Mo Jingchun’s mouth twitched as he glared fiercely at the innocent-looking Candy.

"Don’t throw the blame on me; I’m not taking the fall for this."

"Let’s go home. I saw the group notification; you have a lot of homework today, so hurry up and get it done."

The moment ’homework’ was mentioned, Candy deflated like a balloon, losing all vigor.

"Brother, can I write it tomorrow? We’re not going out to play anyway."

"What must be done today must be completed today."

Candy reluctantly followed her brother, carrying her backpack, and said, "But this homework clearly amounts to two days’ worth for the weekend. If I write it tomorrow, it still counts as getting today’s work done, right?"

As they stepped into the elevator, Candy suddenly exclaimed.

"Oh no!"

Before Mo Jingchun and the others could ask what was wrong, Candy dashed out of the elevator.

Returning to the office, Candy saw Little Grey and Bun still sleeping carelessly in their nest, and her anger rose like a tide, wanting to give those carefree ones each a smack.

"Sleep, sleep, sleep! Still sleeping! Time to go home!"

In the next moment, Little Grey and Bun scampered away swiftly, leaving Candy alone in the office, feeling bewildered.

Outside, when Mo Jingchun and the others saw Little Grey and Bun running towards them, they suddenly understood why Candy had rushed back to the office.

As a disgruntled Candy emerged from the office and entered the elevator, she frowned.

"Where are Little Grey and Bun?"

Just as Candy was wondering where Little Grey and Bun had run off to again, Wild Wolf and the others tacitly made way.

Seeing Bun and Little Grey hiding in the corner of the elevator, especially Little Grey covering its eyes with its front paws, trying to conceal itself, Candy could only laugh with anger.

"You two really have your tricks. I’ll deal with you when we get back home."

Half an hour later, upon returning home, Little Grey and Bun were about to sneak away when Candy’s cold laugh froze them in place.

"Don’t run, come with me to the study room upstairs. Today, I’ll teach you some new knowledge."

Little Grey and Bun didn’t want to go up, but one look from Candy made the two little ones shrink back.

Witnessing this, Li Xuanyu shook her head with a smile; she was used to their mischievousness.

Poor Bun and Little Grey, needing to learn like kindergarteners.

Night fell, and lights illuminated homes everywhere.

At this time, when most people were dining, a continuous electromagnetic wave surged past Jupiter, advancing fearlessly.

A few minutes later.

Nations with radio telescopes received this patterned electromagnetic signal, even some satellites used for observing the universe also picked up this signal originating from beyond the Solar System.

This night, countless people were fated to remain sleepless.

Mo Jingchun had just finished dinner and was about to pour a glass of plain water to sit on the sofa and watch some TV.

At that moment, Zero suddenly stood up from the sofa with unprecedented seriousness on his face, and in Zero’s eyes, Mo Jingchun even saw incredulity.

Mo Jingchun was stunned at this moment.

He thought of many possibilities in his mind, dismissing a lot of them as well. What could make Zero feel so incredulous?

Especially since... Zero’s serious expression suggested it was not good news.

"Boss, we must return to your private laboratory immediately."

Upon hearing this, Mo Jingchun paused for a moment but quickly made a decision.

Mo Jingchun looked back at Li Xuanyu and Candy, who were still eating and oblivious to what was happening, and said, "Zero and I will go back to the company. You both stay home and don’t go out."

Without much explanation, Mo Jingchun followed Zero out the door. It’s not that Mo Jingchun didn’t want to explain; it’s just that even he didn’t know what was happening.

Meanwhile, experts and professors worldwide received emergency summons notifications as they were at home or engaged in other activities.

Just as they stepped outside, a white Audi was already parked at the entrance.

Mo Jingchun opened the driver’s seat, took the car key handed by Xiaofeixia, and with one press on the accelerator, sped away.

Watching the car’s taillights, Wild Wolf and others, asked to stay behind to protect Li Xuanyu and Candy at the villa, wore puzzled expressions.

At this hour, the boss and Zero were hurriedly leaving, not allowing them to follow; what was happening that they were unaware of?

During the rush back to the company, Zero in the passenger seat finally spoke:

"Boss, five minutes ago, Jing City time at 19:23:56 seconds, our multifunctional detection satellite received an electromagnetic wave with a frequency at twelve thousand gigahertz."

"Normally, this wouldn’t mean much, as our detection satellites frequently pick up various electromagnetic waves, some from planets and the sun, others from human activity. But this time is different; the signal’s strength was overwhelming, so strong that even ordinary satellites, if tuned to twelve thousand gigahertz, could still receive this electromagnetic wave signal.

Moreover... The direction this electromagnetic wave came from is Jupiter."

Zero paused, then spoke with an incredulous tone:

"This means that this patterned electromagnetic wave is almost impossible to have been emitted by humans."

Mo Jingchun remained silent as he focused on driving.

If it wasn’t humans who emitted this rhythmic electromagnetic wave signal, then there can only be one possibility.

Aliens!

Yet, Mo Jingchun couldn’t understand one aspect. If an alien civilization emitted this electromagnetic wave, for it to traverse the galaxies and still have such a strong signal upon reaching the Solar System, it implies their Energy Level has reached Level II.

The categorization by energy usage divides civilizations into three levels: Type I, II, and III.

Type I civilization can utilize all available energy from their home planet;

Type II civilization can use the energy from all celestial bodies within a Fixed Star System;

Type III civilization can use all energy from their residing star system.

Human civilization hasn’t even reached Type I, only hitting 0.7 levels.

Here’s the paradox. A civilization with the ability to harness all celestial energy within a Fixed Star System hasn’t yet developed quantum communication?

Bear in mind that human civilization has already achieved quantum communication at the laboratory stage.

Another paradox is that this unknown civilization, if continuously using electromagnetic wave communication, has not sent an electromagnetic signal we’ve picked up in the past hundred years.

Everything is riddled with contradictions and irrationality.

Just like humans, certain nations exploring alien civilizations have emitted high-energy electromagnetic signals into space.

Yet, everyone understands that those emitted electromagnetic signals, after a prolonged journey, are at risk of becoming so weak once they exit the Solar System that they are almost impossible to receive.
