Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP

Chapter 694: A Meeting With NovelGeek2

Once Ash closed his eyes, he obviously was not planning to take a nap or anything.

No, the moment he closed his eyes, another version of him appeared in the void that remained of the Primordial Expanse.

"Hmm, I wonder if this technically counts as using clones," he muttered to himself as he glanced around.

He’d always disliked the idea of clones, but after gaining the ability to exist everywhere at once, he wasn’t sure if it really qualified.

And now, before him lay... whatever remained of the once-mighty Primordial Expanse.

As it was now almost completely barren.

The Father’s side of endless, devouring black had been reduced to a flat, empty darkness that stretched endlessly without feature or depth.

The Mother’s side of pure, radiant white was equally desolate — a blank, lifeless expanse that no longer held any creative spark.

The boundary that once separated Existence and Nonexistence had long since vanished.

Below the Primordial Expanse stretched an even deeper, more absolute blankness — an endless void broken only by a single, massive multicolored black hole swirling slowly in the distance, its colors shifting in hypnotic, ever-changing patterns.

Ash, however, wasn’t focused on that—at least not right now. He wouldn’t be himself if he let anything that seemed even remotely useful remain in existence.

Now, his gaze was locked straight ahead on the faint, barely visible entrance to the First Absence — that thin, neutral bubble suspended between all things.

It was the final place still demanding his attention, along with the Unknown, though he wasn’t particularly concerned about the latter.

In this moment, he knew it was time for a long-awaited meeting.

He had caught glimpses of the Author before, even heard his voice, but never face to face, never in real time.

And he couldn’t deny it — he was curious to see what the guy had in mind.

He began walking forward through the empty void, his footsteps making no sound as he moved toward it.

The silence around him was absolute, broken only by the faint, distant hum of the multicolored black hole far below.

As he walked, he muttered to himself, his voice low and thoughtful.

"Oh.... I truly wonder what you’re like, NovelGeek..."

----

Ash stepped through the faint, barely visible entrance to the First Absence.

The moment he crossed the threshold, his vision shifted.

A vast, brilliant land stretched out before him — glowing with ethereal light, filled with floating structures and rivers of pure conceptual energy.

It was breathtaking, almost divine in its beauty.

Towering spires and ancient-looking floating fortresses drifted lazily through the sky, connected by bridges of condensed mana.

Massive rivers of light flowed across the land, their currents carrying fragments of all things to never exist in the Novel of Ten Lucky Draws.

In the distance, he could see grand, looming structures — some resembling divine temples, others looking like colossal monuments from civilizations long erased from history.

Among them, Ash immediately recognized one particular building.

Minx’s Treasury.

It stood proudly in the far distance, its architecture both familiar and grander than he remembered. But what truly caught him off guard was not the structure itself — it was the civilization thriving around it.

The First Absence.... was ironically not empty. Actually.... it was far from it.

Cities and settlements stretched across the glowing plains.

Beings of various races — humans, elves, beastkin, celestial entities, and even some races he didn’t immediately recognize — walked the streets and gathered in plazas.

Ash’s eyes narrowed in genuine surprise.

"Not gonna lie... I really thought there’d be one big bad left... or maybe just one faction."

He muttered to himself, taken aback by the sight of several races and civilizations so close to entities ranked below the First Absence.

It wasn’t what he had expected, knowing these beings had existed before any semblance of creation.

But this... this was the complete opposite.

Then, like a mirage dissolving under the sun, the entire landscape began to fade.

The glowing land, the floating structures, the cities, and even Minx’s Treasury slowly dissolved into particles of light. The vibrant civilization disappeared piece by piece until nothing remained.

----

In its place, Ash found himself standing in an ordinary Earth-like hallway inside a home.

The hallway was modest and lived-in, with beige walls, a few framed pictures hanging, and hardwood floors under his feet.

There were three closed doors along the walls and a staircase descending to the first floor in the middle of the hall.

The air carried the faint scent of incense and lingering smoke, mixed with the everyday smell of a well cleaned house.

Ash looked around slowly, murmuring to himself.

"...Am I in a house.... on Earth?"

CREAKKKK!!!!

Before he could take another step, the door at the end of the hallway creaked open.

A calm, proud yet casual voice echoed from within.

"Well... you finally made it."

Ash’s lips curved into a faint smile as he walked forward and stepped through the open door.

Inside was a fairly large bedroom.

A massive bed took up most of the far wall, covered in a simple dark comforter.

The walls were almost entirely covered in whiteboards — some filled with scribbled notes, timelines, character names, and plot points, others half-erased.

To the left was a desk cluttered with two computer monitors, a rolling tray, snacks, and an ashtray.

Behind the desk sat NovelGeek.

He was a brown-skinned young man who looked no older than 23, with shoulder-length thick

NovelGeek leaned back in his chair, a joint burning slowly between his fingers.

He exhaled a thin stream of smoke, the scent of it filling the room with a sweet, herbal aroma.

He wore a simple white polo tee shirt, black sweatpants, and black Birkenstock sandals.

His shoulder-length dreadlocks fell messily around his face as he looked at Ash with an amused expression.

After a moment, NovelGeek chuckled, the sound low and casual.

"What.... not what you expected?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as he noticed Ash still staring at him.

Ash let out a low, genuine chuckle, shaking his head slightly as he finally stepped fully into the room.

"Have you really been writing from your room this whole time?" he asked, his voice carrying a mix of amusement and disbelief.
