Chapter 712: A Know it All - The Library of Alexandria (2)
"May I?"
Ancestor Seeker asked politely as she took a seat across from him regardless, her scholarly yet cute outfit settling gracefully around her.
Alex Prime stared at her deeply, his green eyes narrowing with sharp scrutiny.
The entire hall grew quieter as the tension thickened.
He knew immediately — she wasn’t one of them.
With the Ineffable Clan’s announcement still ringing across the Source of Expansion from a week ago.... whether it was evident or not... every Primadiva was on high alert.
Looking at her now, his mind was already racing...
’She.. she must be with the Main Character.’
Finally, he spoke, voice low and measured.
"Who are you?"
Seeker smiled sweetly, tilting her head.
"Hmm, I’m new here. Are questions like that a part of the game?" She waved her hand lightly, summoning an ancient-looking tome that hovered above her palm.
After flipping through it for a brief moment, she selected a power at random and offered it forward.
"I thought were wagering powers?"
[Absolute Knowledge — A conceptual authority granting omniscience over all recorded and unrecorded fictions, novels, and stories across existence.]
---
Seeing such power appear so casually, the entire hall burst into chaos, with murmurs rippling rapidly through the crowd.
"Absolute Knowledge...?"
"That’s true omniscience!"
"Impossible... a power like that would let someone dominate every Knowledge Duel forever."
"She’s wagering that? Is... is she really with that clan?"
Alex Prime’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
’How can she so casually offer something so precious?’ he wondered, mulling over whether this was simply one of the perks of being with the Main Character.
And in truth, it absolutely was.
After all, Ancestor Seeker had at one point been the Goddess of Infinite Books, a being with access to all knowledge, whether it existed, had yet to exist, or never would.
If these beings weren’t so obsessed with killing the Main Character—and if they knew who she truly was—they would likely worship, her outright.
It was known that the beings of the Ineffable had long since cast aside their God Titles, and at this moment, Ancestor Seeker was, in essence, just a book.
An infinite book.
Yet, even faced with a clear enemy... Alex couldn’t resist joining the game he considered himself the top scholar in.
It wasn’t because he had any special abilities to help him in this—powers couldn’t even be used in the domain they occupied—but simply because, at heart, he was a bit of a nerd.
Under the table, his foot pressed down on a hidden button, secretly activating both a recording projection and a silent alert to the Prime Branch.
Then, with a composed smile, he wagered one of his own prized powers in return — a conceptual blade of absolute severance.
"Very well," he said. "Do you wish to answer or fire the questions?"
"I’ll answer," Seeker replied calmly.
Then without another word... the duel began.
---
Alex began with some rather vague questions, cautiously probing the conversation.
"In a famous ninja world, what is the real purpose of the Infinite Tsukuyomi?"
At this, Seeker leaned back comfortably, crossing her legs with a casual smile.
"It’s to trap the entire world in an endless dream, allowing the caster to harvest chakra," she answered with ease.
Seeing her answer without even a moment’s thought—and still get it right—was impressive.
At that moment, Alex didn’t panic; such things were normal in the early rounds.
He simply smiled and pressed on.
"Tell me the name of the ancient weapon hidden in the world of the Straw Hats, the one with the power to destroy the entire world."
"Pluton," she answered without missing a beat, her smile steady and sure.
"In the world of Titans, what is the real identity of the Smiling Titan who killed the main character’s mother?"
"Carla Yeager’s Titan form..." she replied once more, but Alex, sensing she was holding something back, began to smile in anticipation.
Then she added, "Hmm, however, she was influenced by the Paths."
At that, his smile faltered before he pressed on with his questioning.
Yet no matter how he worded his inquiries, Seeker responded with effortless composure, at times even completing his sentences for him.
And it didn’t take long for Alex’s frustration mounted visibly, though he tried to drag the exchange out, buying time as his silent alert traveled through the faction.
He shifted to more obscure territory.
"In Martial Kai... what did the main character gain that allowed him to stand out among all others?"
Seeker didn’t miss a beat.
"The Black Soulstone book, which granted him the Golden Skeleton physique."
Alex’s jaw tightened. "In the novel with Victor ElderBlood... who is the yandere wife obsessed with him?"
"Violet," Seeker answered smoothly. "The one who would burn the world for him."
That was his breaking point.
After asking so many questions and watching her respond without even a moment’s hesitation, there was no reason to keep pressing on.
This had never really been a normal game between them to begin with, and deep down, both of them probably knew it.
Alex Prime grit his teeth, leaning forward with barely contained fury.
"Just what game are you truly getting at?"
Seeker only smiled, tilting her head with an innocent, almost affectionate expression.
"What do you mean, little... Alex?"
----
High above, at the Library of All’s highest vantage — a breathtaking crystal window that overlooked the entire valley — Aurora and Aurelia stood locked arm in arm.
The red-gold light of the four suns poured through the glass, bathing them in warm, dramatic hues as the bustling convention and scholarly halls sprawled far below.
Aurelia leaned her head against Aurora’s shoulder, her red-golden hair mingling with her daughter’s white-and-blue locks.
"This whole idea of yours is pretty cool," she murmured, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
"I wonder why he never told me about that story."
Aurora chuckled softly, the sound light and full of fond amusement.
"You know how it is. Every time he starts telling stories, you all end up wanting to have sex instead."
Aurelia shrugged with a bright laugh, phoenix-like warmth flickering in her reddish-gold eyes.
"Guilty... as charged."
Then Aurora’s expression shifted into something more playful and focused.
Hum! Hum!
She began to hum — a low, haunting melody that resonated through the air like an ancient invocation.
The notes carried power, weaving outward from her lips.
HUMMMMM!!!!!
In an instant, millions of ethereal beings materialized around the Library of All.
They appeared as fierce fantasy soldiers clad in gleaming armor of crimson and gold, swords and spears raised high.
Many rode powerful ethereal horses that snorted plumes of flame, their hooves thundering silently across the sky.
The warriors surged forward in a chaotic, beautiful wave — banners snapping, war cries echoing.
At the forefront, their leader — a towering figure in ornate battle regalia — roared with primal fury:
"THE LIBRARY OF ALL MUST FALL!!!! BURN IT DOWN!"
He drew back a blazing flame arrow, took aim at the highest window of the Library of All, and released it with a powerful shout.
FWOOSSHHHHHH!
The arrow streaked through the air like a comet and shattered through the crystal window in a burst of golden-red fire.
The flames erupted violently, spreading with savage hunger across the ancient halls and towering shelves below.
From their vantage point, Aurora and Aurelia watched with delighted smiles as the spectral warriors charged and the Library of All began to burn in a spectacular blaze of fantasy ruin.
"KILL!!!!!"
