"KNEEL!" Leon commanded.

The Leviathan, despite being nearly thirty levels higher than Leon, failed its willpower check against the sheer, overwhelming pressure of the Vanguard’s stats and the 200% aura amplification. The massive beast let out a pathetic, choked hiss, its body physically slamming into the marble floor, completely paralyzed by fear and its defense drastically reduced.

"Arcane Requiem!"

Leon pointed his left hand downward, channeling a massive portion of his rapidly regenerating mana pool. The Gold-Rank spell blasted point-blank into the Leviathan’s skull. The decay and lightning, combined with the ethereal flames of his descending sword, created an explosion of pure destruction that caved the monster’s head into the floating stone.

Ding!

[You have killed "Abyssal Leviathan (Level 85, Elite)"]

[Kill Streak: 9 Kills. Elite Modifier Applied.]

[Experience Multiplier Increased: 35X]

[Calculating Experience...]

[You have gained 3,850,000 experience points. (35X Multiplier Applied)]

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 58!]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 59!]

...

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 63!]

Six levels from a single, multiplier-boosted Elite kill. The Battlefield Realm was a factory of absolute godhood.

Leon landed on the dissolving corpse of the Leviathan, breathing heavily as the Sovereign’s Eclipse faded, returning the dim, swirling purple light to the courtyard.

Ding!

[Lucky Fate has activated!]

[An extraordinarily rare, Battlefield-exclusive drop has been detected.]

[Abyssal Leviathan has dropped: 850,000 Eternal Coins, 1 Void-Lord Core, 1 Skill Rune: "Dimensional Severance" (Diamond-Rank).]

Leon’s golden eye snapped to the pulsing, multifaceted black rune resting in the ash. A Diamond-Rank skill rune.

He picked it up.

[Skill Rune: Dimensional Severance]

[Rank: Diamond]

[Time to Comprehend: 4 Seconds (Reduced by 65% due to Realm Modifier: 1.4 Seconds)]

Leon crushed the rune. With the Battlefield Realm’s modifier and his SSS-Rank Supreme Comprehension, the knowledge flooded his mind in exactly one point four seconds.

Ding!

[Skill Acquired: Dimensional Severance]

[Level: 63]

[Rank: Diamond]

[Description: The user infuses their weapon with raw spatial energy. The next physical strike will tear a temporary rift in reality, dealing catastrophic true damage that ignores all physical and magical barriers, and leaves a lingering dimensional tear that continuously damages enemies caught within it. Cooldown: 5 Minutes. Mana Cost: High.]

"Beautiful," Leon whispered, gripping his flaming greatsword.

The Void Mist around the edges of the platform boiled again. The spawn rates in the Battlefield Realm were infinite. Hundreds of glowing purple eyes appeared in the fog.

Auris landed heavily beside Leon, the dragon’s jaws dripping with freezing vapor, ready for round two.

Leon felt the immense, freezing aura of the Glacial Sovereign pressing against his back, a grounding presence amidst the chaotic swirl of abyssal energy. He looked at the infinite horde of Void-Stalker Behemoths and Entropy Wisps materializing from the dense gray fog.

The time dilation of the Abyssal Fracture meant every hour spent here cost him five days in Sector 12. He could not afford to get bogged down in an endless war of attrition, no matter how intoxicating the experience multiplier was.

"Let’s try and make this leveling opportunity count without spending much time here!" Leon yelled over the deafening roar of the encroaching horde. "Auris, clear the perimeter!"

The High-Dragon responded with a devastating roar. Auris reared back, his massive chest expanding as blinding cyan light flooded his scales.

Absolute Zero Breath erupted from his maw in a sweeping, two-hundred-degree arc. The 200% aura amplification of the Battlefield Realm mutated the already terrifying S-Rank talent into an apocalyptic force of nature. The front line of Level 75 Void-Stalker Behemoths didn’t just freeze; the very air around them crystallized, encasing over fifty massive brutes in a single, unbreakable glacier of absolute zero ice.

"My turn," Leon snarled.

He didn’t use magic to close the gap. He triggered Storm-Strider, compressing the ambient void-heavy air beneath his boots and launching himself like a railgun projectile directly into the thickest cluster of the remaining horde.

As he flew through the air, he activated his newly acquired Diamond-Rank skill. Dimensional Severance.

The Blade of the Dragon God shifted. The ethereal golden flames coating the greatsword were suddenly sucked inward, replaced by a terrifying, pitch-black distortion that warped the visual space around the edge of the blade. It felt unimaginably heavy, as if he were holding a collapsed star.

Leon crashed into the center of the mob and swung the blade in a massive horizontal arc.

There was no sound of tearing flesh. There was only the horrific, silent sound of reality itself being ripped open.

The blade sheared through a dozen Level 80 Entropy Wisps and three massive Abyssal Leviathans without a single fraction of physical resistance. The true damage bypassed their colossal health pools and void-shields entirely. But the true devastation lay in the aftermath. In the wake of his swing, a jagged, ten-foot-long rift in the fabric of space remained suspended in the air.

The dimensional tear exerted a terrifying gravitational pull. The surrounding Void-Stalkers shrieked as they were forcibly dragged into the rift, their bodies violently shredded into atomic dust by the chaotic spatial currents inside, generating a continuous cascade of lethal damage.

[Kill Streak: 64 Kills. Experience Multiplier locked at 35X.]

The notifications rained down like a waterfall in his vision. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 64!]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 65!]

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 66!]

Leon didn’t stop to admire the carnage. He moved like a shadow, chaining Wraith-Step teleports to blink between the surviving pockets of resistance. Every time he materialized, the Blade of the Dragon God claimed a life.

When a towering Behemoth tried to crush him beneath a fist the size of a carriage, Leon didn’t even bother to dodge. Obsidian Carapace flared, the Kinetic Resonance absorbing the millions of pounds of force. He absorbed the kinetic energy, stepped inside the beast’s guard, and detonated the stored shockwave directly into its chest cavity, blowing its ribs out through its back.

Between the slaughter, his Talent Devourer kept pinging, harvesting the residual energy of the slaughtered elites.

[Talent Devourer: Residual Talent Energy Detected: "Void-Shift" (Fragments Available: 24)]

[Talent Devourer: Residual Talent Energy Detected: "Abyssal Plating" (Fragments Available: 15)]

"System, fuse twenty fragments of Void-Shift into Wraith-Step," Leon commanded mid-swing, decapitating a Wisp. "Fuse ten fragments of Abyssal Plating into Obsidian Carapace."

[20 Fragments of "Void-Shift" fused into Skill: Wraith-Step.]

....

[10 Fragments of "Abyssal Plating" fused into Talent: Obsidian Carapace (B).]

[Obsidian Carapace has gained: Void Deflection. The user’s hardened skin now passively reflects 30% of incoming magical damage back at the caster.]

After adding Void Shift to his Wraith Step skill, Leon didn’t hesitate. He immediately decided to evolve it.

Ding!

[Skill Grade Evolution: Platinum → Diamond]

[Skill Evolved: Abyssal Stride (Diamond)]

[Effect: Teleportation now leaves behind a localized implosion of void energy at both the departure and arrival points, dealing severe area-of-effect damage to nearby enemies.]

With Abyssal Stride, his mobility was no longer just a positioning tool; it was a weapon. He blinked into the center of a newly spawned mob, the void-implosion of his arrival instantly shattering the knee joints of the surrounding beasts.

For thirty minutes, Leon and Auris turned the floating marble courtyard into a meat grinder. The mountains of loot collected by Lucky Fate—millions of Eternal Coins, hundreds of high-tier cores, and spatial fragments—piled endlessly into his inventory.

But as Leon severed the spine of the final visible Leviathan, the ambient void mist surrounding the platform didn’t spawn more beasts. Instead, it parted.

A massive bridge constructed of solidified, pale-gray mist extended from the edge of the courtyard, leading deeper into the Abyssal Fracture.

"The next zone," Leon noted, wiping a streak of corrosive black blood from his cheek. Perfect Body instantly scrubbed the remaining toxins from his skin.

He mounted Auris, and the Glacial Sovereign launched them across the mist bridge.

As they crossed the threshold, the environment shifted violently. The floating marble ruins gave way to an endless, sprawling expanse of dead, gray earth. The ground was littered with towering headstones, some the size of small buildings, etched with glowing, unrecognizable runes.

The mist hung low to the ground, clinging to the graves like a shroud.

Leon’s Origin Eyes flared, detecting massive, slumbering mana signatures buried beneath the earth. This wasn’t a standard zone.

Ding!

[Zone Entered: The Gravesite Plain]

[Warning: Boss Cycle Stage Initiated.]

[Description: A sacred burial ground corrupted by the Void Mist. To proceed deeper into the Abyssal Fracture, the challenger must lay to rest the five ancient sovereigns who slumber here. Defeating all five sequentially will yield a Realm-Tier Reward.]

2. The Weeping Specters of the Ash (Level 88)
