Ten Lucky Draws: I Got Ten SSS-Rank Talents!
Chapter 93: The Void God Palace
Full North, Leon projected. To the heart of the mist.
Auris roared, the sound shattering the eerie silence of the black expanse. The High-Dragon flared his massive Void-Piercer Wings, the Aether-magic igniting in blinding cyan streaks, and launched them violently into the pale purple sky.
They left the silver ring of the Guardian Duel Stage behind, ascending rapidly.
As they flew deeper into the northern quadrant of the Abyssal Fracture, the environment began to aggressively deteriorate. The black stone floor below them gave way to a churning, violently chaotic ocean of pure, liquid void energy. The pale purple sky darkened into a suffocating, bruised black, choked by swirling vortexes of highly compressed entropy.
The atmosphere grew incredibly dense, the physical pressure attempting to crush them out of the sky.
"Aegis of the Tempest!" Leon commanded, projecting the swirling hurricane of razor-sharp wind outward to blanket Auris’s massive frame.
The localized tempest violently sheared away the encroaching void mist, creating a clear bubble for the dragon to navigate through. Auris supplemented the defense, passively radiating Absolute Zero ambient frost from his scales, freezing the liquid void energy before it could even touch them, causing it to shatter into harmless black snow that tumbled back into the ocean below.
They tore through the oppressive darkness at supersonic speeds, a streak of cyan and gold cutting through absolute corruption.
And then, the chaotic mist parted.
Leon’s SSS-Rank Origin Eyes flared with intense golden light as the true heart of the Abyssal Fracture revealed itself on the horizon.
It was a magnificent, terrifying structure.
Suspended entirely over the churning ocean of void energy, anchored to the fabric of space by massive, glowing chains of corrupted purple mana, was a sprawling, gothic palace. It was forged from jagged, non-reflective obsidian and deep-veined marble that pulsed with the steady, rhythmic heartbeat of an ancient, sleeping god.
The architecture was impossible, defying all laws of structural engineering. Towers twisted upward like the grasping claws of a dying beast, and massive, arched bridges connected floating courtyards that defied gravity. The entire palace radiated an aura so profoundly dark and powerful that the ambient mana of the Battlefield Realm seemed to actively bow towards it.
"The core of the realm," Leon whispered, the wind whipping his dark hair as he stared at the looming structure. "The anchor point of the Void Mist."
He was absolutely certain. Defeating whatever resided within those walls would collapse the Battlefield Realm and permanently clear the fog choking Sector 12.
As Auris flew over the massive, jagged outer walls and descended toward the primary courtyard, the system interface exploded into Leon’s vision.
Ding!
[Territory Discovered: The Void God Palace]
[Warning: You have entered the sanctum of the Realm Lord.]
[Zone Modifier Applied: All external healing sources severely dampened. Enemy attack power increased by 300%.]
"A final boss modifier," Leon sneered, entirely unbothered by the warning. With his SSS+ Aura of the Undying directly pulling vitality from the ambient mana, a healing dampener was merely an inconvenience, not a death sentence.
Auris landed heavily in the center of the vast courtyard, his sapphire claws gouging deep trenches into the flawless stone. The colossal, towering doors of the palace’s main keep stood before them. They were fifty feet high, forged from a dark metal that seemed to absorb the light of the ethereal flames licking the edge of Leon’s greatsword.
Leon didn’t knock.
"Dimensional Severance," Leon commanded, stepping off Auris’s back and swinging the Blade of the Dragon God in a brutal, horizontal arc.
The spatial rift sheared through the air, carrying the unblockable true damage directly into the massive metal doors. The impact was catastrophic. The doors didn’t just swing open; they were violently blown off their colossal hinges, shattering inward with a deafening screech of tearing metal, revealing the cavernous depths of the throne room.
Leon strode through the shattered archway, his heavy boots echoing ominously against the polished floor. Auris flanked him, the massive dragon lowering his head, his chest already glowing with the lethal frost of his S-Rank breath weapon.
The throne room was incredibly vast, lined with towering pillars of pulsing purple crystal that cast long, distorted shadows across the hall.
At the far end of the room, elevated upon a massive dais constructed of compressed, dying stars, sat a single entity.
It did not look like a monster. It possessed the silhouette of a tall, impossibly lean humanoid, draped in flowing robes woven from the fabric of the night sky itself. Its face was a smooth, featureless mask of polished onyx, devoid of eyes or a mouth. A halo of jagged, hovering black shards slowly orbited its head, acting as a crown of absolute entropy.
[Entity: Erebus, the Void God]
[Rank: Realm Lord]
[Level: 99]
[innate Talents: Void Sovereign’s Domain, Entropy Incarnate, Absolute Erasure, Dimensional Lock, Chronos Devourer.]
Level 99. The absolute peak of the Adept rank. The final bottleneck before the conceptual evolution to Steadfast.
But Erebus was not alone.
Standing at strict, militaristic attention on either side of the massive dais were six towering figures. They were heavily armored in thick, jagged void-plate, wielding massive halberds that crackled with necrotic green lightning.
[Entity: Elite Void-Knight Vanguard (x6)]
[Level: 90]
Leon Wes stood completely alone, flanked only by his bonded beast.
He didn’t hesitate. He didn’t feel a single trace of fear. He felt the terrifying, exhilarating rush of the final hurdle.
The Void God, Erebus, slowly raised a slender, onyx-plated hand from the armrest of its throne, a silent command for the six Level 90 Void-Knights to descend the dais and execute the intruder.
The six massive knights stepped forward in perfect, chilling unison, lowering their crackling halberds, ready to swarm the Vanguard.
Leon stopped walking. He planted his boots into the obsidian floor and raised the Blade of the Dragon God, the ethereal golden flames erupting into a towering inferno that illuminated the dark, oppressive throne room.
"Auris," Leon commanded, his voice cold, analytical, and entirely devoid of mercy. "Me and you take the Void God."
He didn’t wait for the dragon’s roar of confirmation. He raised his left hand, exposing the glowing silver sigil on the back of his glove, and violently flooded it with his mana.
"Aegis!" Leon roared, his golden and icy blue eyes burning with absolute authority.
The space directly in front of the advancing Level 90 Void-Knights violently fractured. The air snapped open, and the towering, pale stone figure of the Silent Aegis stepped out of the dimensional rift, its massive stone greatsword already drawn.
The red countdown timer ignited above the Guardian’s featureless helm.
"You," Leon ordered the Level 245 god of war, pointing his greatsword directly at the advancing vanguard of Elites. "Handle all six guards!"
