That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!
Chapter 365: A Ruthless Master and the Trespassing Fairies
"...Care to explain?"
"Ehe~!"
Facing Finn’s terrifyingly cold, silent stare, Lisanna could only laugh awkwardly, rubbing the back of her head. Her cute facade, which had worked so well this morning, was entirely useless now.
"Don’t be so cheap, Councilman," Cana interrupted, leaning casually against a pristine glass wall. She crossed her arms beneath her chest, purposefully pushing her generous assets up in a brazen display of confidence. Dressed in nothing but a bikini top and low-slung pants that hugged her hips, her tanned skin and long wavy hair screamed femme fatale. "This mansion is way too huge for just one guy. Why don’t you hire the rest of us, too?"
Inwardly, Cana was practically salivating. She had already scoped out Finn’s massive, premium alcohol collection. She fully intended to drink him dry, but unfortunately, both Lisanna and Bisca were strictly guarding the liquor cabinets.
But I won’t give up! Cana thought fiercely, her ambition to raid his private stash burning brighter than ever.
"Please don’t blame Lisanna!"
Elfman quickly stepped forward, his massive frame attempting to shield his little sister. "I know we came entirely uninvited, but... we were just worried about her, that’s all."
Elfman had faced many powerful men in his life. He rarely felt fear, because usually, the absolute worst a strong man could do was beat him up in a fistfight. He would never run from a physical brawl. But Finn Hoen? Finn wasn’t just a brawler. How was Elfman supposed to fight a man who wielded absolute political authority, who commanded words that forced nations to bow, and who literally held the crushing weight of Fairy Tail’s massive debt in the palm of his hand?
Yet, despite the overwhelming intimidation, Elfman had still come. He was genuinely worried about his little sister working for the White Devil.
Finn, however, didn’t give a single damn about Elfman’s brotherly feelings. His eyes narrowed, his voice dropping into a freezing, dismissive tone.
"If you’re so worried about her, then you shouldn’t have let her work in the first place."
"...."
Elfman froze, completely speechless.
"Lock her in her room. Wrap her in bubble wrap. Make sure she can’t ever leave so you can watch over her precious innocence forever," Finn mocked ruthlessly.
"...."
The entire room went dead silent. The atmosphere instantly turned suffocatingly tense. None of the Fairy Tail mages expected him to be so brutally cold, completely disregarding their protective feelings.
Lisanna immediately realized how badly she had screwed up. Her face paled. "I-I am so sorry, Finn-sama!" She bowed her head deeply, her pigtails falling forward. "I know this is entirely my fault. I shouldn’t have let them in. I won’t make any excuses."
"You shouldn’t," Finn said, his glare practically piercing through her. "Work is work. Family is family. You do not mix the two. Did you honestly think my private residence was your personal guildhall?"
Finn might have enjoyed Lisanna’s company that morning, but letting her loud, obnoxious guildmates barge into his home while she was on the clock? Who the hell did she think she was?
It was a miracle nothing disastrous had happened yet. He knew their chaotic personalities from the original story, but what if he hadn’t? What if they had stumbled into something they shouldn’t have?
More importantly, Finn was in a foul mood. He had just finished subjugating the Reborn Oracion Seis. What would happen if those wanted criminals arrived right now and ran into these nosy Fairy Tail members?
Leaving Bisca and Lisanna in charge of the front door was a massive mistake, Finn thought bitterly.
He realized he had grown too relaxed. Between the women and the luxury, he had let his guard down, assuming his home was perfectly secure. But considering Natsu routinely broke into Lucy’s apartment to sleep in her bed, and Gray had a habit of stripping naked in public, Finn knew he absolutely had to establish strict, physical boundaries with this guild.
He conducted highly illegal, black-market operations from this house. He couldn’t have main characters waltzing in whenever they pleased.
"Get out. All of you. Go home right now."
"..."
It was abundantly clear that Finn despised their presence, yet the Fairy Tail members still looked incredibly offended by his blunt dismissal.
Finn completely ignored their sour expressions. He was exhausted. He had just survived an apocalyptic battle against an Archangel, and instead of coming home to a quiet, relaxing evening, he was greeted by a pack of freeloaders trying to raid his liquor cabinet.
If Bisca and Lisanna hadn’t actually done their jobs and guarded his stash, Finn would have sent Fairy Tail a new invoice that would make their 30 million Jewel debt look like pocket change.
"Flare. Throw them all out," Finn ordered without looking back.
"Yes, Finn-sama," Flare murmured, stepping out of the shadows. Her sunset-colored hair began to twitch and writhe like a nest of crimson snakes, her eyes locking onto the intruders with unhinged obedience.
Seeing Flare ready to attack, Bisca quickly stepped in, knowing exactly how ruthless Finn could be. "You all really need to leave. Right now. If he’s serious, he will summon the Rune Knights and have you all thrown in a Council prison for trespassing."
"...Are you serious?"
Cana’s jaw dropped. The relaxing, booze-filled day she had planned was entirely ruined. But seeing the genuine terror in Lisanna’s eyes, a heavy wave of guilt finally washed over her. She had just severely jeopardized Lisanna’s high-paying job.
Elfman opened his mouth to argue, but couldn’t find the words.
However, Mirajane, who had been completely silent until now, finally stepped forward. "Isn’t that reaction a bit too extreme?"
"Is it?" Finn stopped halfway down the hall, slowly turning his head to look at the She-Devil.
"Of course it is."
"Then imagine a group of complete strangers suddenly breaking into your house, attempting to drink your expensive alcohol for free, treating your living room like a hotel, and refusing to leave," Finn retorted coldly.
"....."
Mirajane pressed her lips into a thin line.
"I don’t know where you get this massive sense of entitlement," Finn sneered. "I owe you absolutely nothing. In fact, you all owe me."
"Then isn’t that all the more reason to keep us here instead of kicking us out?" Mirajane replied, a sweet, dangerous smile forming on her lips as she completely ignored his logic.
Finn raised an eyebrow, mildly amused by her sheer audacity. "What exactly could you possibly offer me?"
"Don’t worry," Mirajane smiled softly, her eyes narrowing. "If Cana ever tries to steal your alcohol again, I will personally break both of her legs."
"..." Cana sweatdropped, taking a slow step back.
"You would make a decent bodyguard," Finn admitted, genuinely satisfied with Mirajane’s ruthless work ethic.
"See?" Mirajane beamed, clearly enjoying the fact that someone finally appreciated her darker tendencies.
"But... a bodyguard is completely useless if she’s too weak."
"Oh? Do you want to test me?" Mirajane’s sweet smile vanished, replaced by a dark, predatory aura.
"Not personally. If I stepped up, you’d be crushed far too easily."
"Hah?!"
While Mirajane flared with indignant rage, Finn was simply stating a fact. They both utilized Take Over magic, but while she relied on demons and darkness, he now wielded the absolute, holy power of a Seraphim. He was her literal weakness. And even if he wasn’t, his newly evolved physical stats would overwhelm her in seconds.
"Erik. Bring everyone out."
"Huh?"
The Fairy Tail mages blinked in confusion. From the dark hallway behind Finn, a group of battered, bruised figures awkwardly stepped into the light. Mirajane, Elfman, and Cana stared in utter bewilderment.
"Are you absolutely sure about this, Boss?" Erik asked, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. Using his Hearing Magic, he had already read everyone’s minds in the room. He desperately wanted to avoid fighting Fairy Tail.
However, Erik had to phrase it carefully, pretending he was merely concerned about causing a political scandal for his new master.
But as Erik stepped fully into the living room, Macbeth, Sawyer, Erigor, and a heavily pale Sorano followed closely behind him. The Reborn Oracion Seis had officially arrived.
"Go and fight them," Finn ordered, waving a dismissive hand.
He genuinely wanted to see how his new attack dogs performed against the famous Fairy Tail.
"...."
The entire room—both Fairy Tail and the Dark Guild—stared at him, completely speechless.
Yeah... this guy is an absolute monster, Erik thought miserably as he readied his poison magic.
