The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1415 - 1355: The Happiness of Not Having to Walk
On New Year’s Eve, both families had their breakfast and then grandly headed to Cloudscape Mansion.
This New Year, they will celebrate at Cloudscape Mansion.
Adrian Desmond bought fireworks worth over 1.5 million, which will be set off tonight at 12 o’clock, during the New Year’s transition.
There were too many people, so they opened six cars, and just the bodyguards took up three cars.
The older kids sat in one car, while Curly kept chattering away. Parents were reconciled, so Dylan was also happy and kept talking. Sheehan, who usually didn’t talk much, sat quietly playing on the iPad.
"Sheehan, play a little longer, but then you should stop, okay? It’s not good for your eyes," Sienna Johnson said to her son.
Sheehan was so engrossed in a game that he didn’t even look at his mother.
Dominic sat quietly next to Sheehan, watching him play. He also wanted to play but didn’t dare to snatch from Sheehan. Hugo didn’t like playing with Claire and Ella and kept trying to approach Sheehan, who completely ignored him.
"Hugo, sit properly,"
"Ah..." Hugo shouted at Sheehan.
Sheehan ignored him, which annoyed Hugo.
Hugo had a bad temper, worse than when Sheehan was younger. Seeing his brother playing the game and ignoring him, the little guy suddenly stretched out his arm and slapped Sheehan on the head. Sheehan wasn’t one to be messed with either and quickly slapped Hugo back.
The brothers’ war happened so fast that Sienna Johnson hadn’t reacted yet.
By the time Sienna reacted, Hugo burst into tears.
"Hugo, don’t cry..." Sienna saw that her son’s face was red from the slap and felt heartache, but since it was her older son who hit him, she couldn’t say much.
"..."
"Sheehan, your brother is still young and doesn’t understand things. Can you let him have his way a bit? You are brothers, you need to help each other in the future."
"Hmph!" Sheehan gave Sienna no face.
"How can you hit your brother? Look, his face is all red... Of course, he was wrong to hit you, too, but he’s still a baby and doesn’t understand things yet."
"..."
"Sheehan, can you let your brother have his way a bit more in the future?"
Sheehan continued playing his game, not even looking at Sienna. Sienna suspected that Sheehan hadn’t heard a word she said.
"Adrian, say something,"
Sienna looked to Adrian for help. Adrian didn’t care at all, "It’s just a slap, right? My son isn’t so fragile that one slap would harm him."
Sienna: ...
...
Cloudscape Mansion,
Cloudscape Mansion was also covered in silver, and the green vegetables on the plains were covered by snow.
In the vegetable greenhouse, however, it felt like spring.
The older kids ran off as soon as they got out of the car.
Hugo was eager to move, seeing Sheehan and the others running far away, he clenched his fists in frustration and was about to cry.
"Hugo, you’re still little. When you grow up, you’ll be able to play with your brothers," Sienna comforted him.
Rose Collins knew they were coming and had cleaned the room in advance.
Hearing of their arrival, Rose Collins brought her daughter-in-law, Nana, to greet them.
This was Sienna’s second time seeing Nana, who was soft-spoken, wearing a floral cotton jacket made by Rose and smiling shyly.
"You’re finally here! I thought you’d come in the afternoon," Rose Collins said, taking Claire from Nanny’s arms.
Claire had fallen asleep in the car and was still groggy.
"We came over after breakfast. It wasn’t far," Sienna explained.
Everyone greeted each other. Kiya had once lived here for a while, so he wasn’t unfamiliar with Rose Collins.
The temperature outside was very cold, so they went into the room.
The central heating in the room was turned up very high, and upon entering, a heatwave hit them. Sienna took off the kids’ thick winter coats and let them crawl on the heated bed. She wasn’t worried they would get cold.
"Nana, relax and take a seat," Sienna said to Nana.
Nana didn’t talk much but was very diligent, busy serving tea and snacks to everyone.
"I’m not tired," Nana replied with a shy smile and lifted the curtain to go out.
Rose Collins smiled with satisfaction, praising, "Marvin married well this time, obedient, filial, and sensible..."
Thinking of Sally, Sienna felt a bit regretful.
This time, Sienna didn’t let Sally come over, fearing she would feel uncomfortable.
Sienna smiled, "That’s good."
Looking at the three little ones on the bed, Rose Collins was filled with envy, saying, "I don’t ask for much now, I just hope Nana will soon give the Rafael Family a blooming branch. Even a daughter would be nice."
Sienna said, "My brother just got married; Mom, you’re too anxious."
Rose Collins said, "You’re right..."
"Mom, it’s fine to say this to me, but don’t mention it in front of Nana; it will just pressure her," Sienna advised.
Historically, it’s been tough to get along with mother-in-law, and Sienna didn’t want her adoptive mother and daughter-in-law to have conflicts.
Rose Collins said, "I know, I’m not that confused."
Nana came in and said to Rose Collins, "Mom, the dumplings are ready."
Rose Collins said, "Come, let’s eat. Nana and I prepared since last night."
"Okay."
The kids were left in the care of the Nanny, while the family went to have lunch.
Adrian went to call the kids for lunch, but they were playing wildly and refused to come back.
"Daddy, have you ever ridden in a sled dog?" Curly ran over, hugging Adrian’s leg and asked.
"I have."
Curly’s eyes lit up, "Daddy, can you make us a sled?"
"But there’s no dog."
Curly said, "Egg’s family has a dog."
"Well, but you have to eat first."
Adrian picked up his son and called the kids, "It’s time to eat. Afterward, I’ll make you a sled to play with."
This finally brought the kids over.
Adrian carried Curly while letting little Sheehan walk on his own. Someone saw and commented, "This man is strange, why doesn’t he carry the little one and carries the big one instead?"
Adrian, with keen ears, heard and replied, "He’s a man and can walk already, of course, he should walk on his own."
Sheehan also said, "I don’t want to be carried!"
The person stopped talking.
"Daddy, carry me, I don’t like walking," Curly clung to his father’s neck, acting spoiled.
"Okay."
There is a kind of happiness in not having to walk.
...
Because it was New Year’s, the Orienta cuisine was very sumptuous, and surrounded by family, it was especially lively.
Pauline Briggs also brought Osmanthus Wine, and started drinking by noon.
Curly snatched his father’s cup, saying, "Daddy, you can’t drink. If you get drunk, who will make us a sled?"
Dylan also said, "Exactly, Uncle, you can’t drink."
Kiya said, "Daddy can make one too."
Dylan didn’t believe it, "Daddy never makes anything; everything’s always done for him."
Kiya: ...
