Chapter 308: Nothing Will Change

"You know," Sienna said after a moment, "if Riley really does spend that much money at the restaurant, maybe I should forgive him for making you angry tonight."

Zachary glanced at her with an amused expression. "Don’t get too generous. He’s still just a customer who must pay for the food and drinks plus the service."

"Hahaha, yeah. Still, he’s a very generous customer."

His expression softened immediately, and he reached over to squeeze her hand when the traffic allowed.

"That’s better. Let the customer be generous toward your business, not the other way around."

Sienna laughed softly, enjoying how easily his mood could change. The earlier tension around Riley gradually faded as they kept talking about the restaurant, the opening, the staff, and everything they needed to prepare for the coming days.

As they moved further away from the busy streets, Sienna suddenly remembered her conversation with Jimmy Jonas. Tomorrow was the day Zachary’s status as a married man would finally be revealed. She was excited and looked forward to seeing how people would react, but at the same time, she couldn’t deny she felt a little nervous.

Then suddenly—

"What are you thinking about, my love?" Zachary asked, breaking the comfortable silence between them.

Sienna turned to look at him.

"I’m thinking about the news tomorrow."

Zachary smiled, glanced at her, and asked calmly, "Are you nervous about it?"

Sienna couldn’t help but smile at how Zachary knew what she was thinking.

"Well, a little. But I’m also thrilled because I want to know how the netizens will react." She admitted.

"My love, there’s no need to worry about them. Besides, I already warned Jimmy not to use your last name...You’ll be fine with your former colleagues and your family."

Zachary’s words slowly pushed away the trace of nervousness in her heart. He always had a way of making things sound simpler and more manageable, even when she was already imagining all the possible problems in her mind.

"I just hope those people won’t find out that I married you," Sienna whispered, her voice carrying a hint of worry.

"You mean your father and your mean aunt?"

"Hmm, they are the ones I’m worried about. If they find out, they might start bragging about it on social media, which would be troublesome." Sienna let out a heavy sigh as she imagined the situation.

Zachary became even more concerned about her. He reached over and gently expressed his thoughts.

"My love, even if they talk about it, nothing will change. They can say whatever they want, but it won’t affect our lives. If anything, they’ll be the ones who have to deal with the consequences of their own behavior."

Sienna looked at him for a moment before smiling.

"Thank you, honey."

"Don’t say that." Zachary gave her a gentle look. "I’m your husband. Of course I’ll do anything for you."

"I know." Sienna smiled, and the heaviness that had settled in the car gradually faded. She then remembered something else and changed the subject. "Oh, right. Tomorrow, I’m going to visit my Uncle Jimmy’s house."

Sienna had already told him about her promise to visit her Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Maya. She had postponed the visit because she had been busy preparing for the grand opening, but it seemed she couldn’t delay it any longer, especially with the news about Zachary’s marriage being published tomorrow.

Even though Zachary had assured her that people wouldn’t easily realize she was the woman he had married, Sienna still needed to tell her uncle and aunt herself.

Besides, she wanted to introduce her son and her husband to them. They were the only family she had left now, and she wanted them to become a part of this new Chapter of her life.

Zachary nodded, aware of her plan. "What time will you be going there?" he asked.

"I’ll have lunch with them and maybe stay a little longer, but I’ll return before nightfall. And I’ll bring Sky with me."

Zachary nodded in agreement. "I actually wanted to go with you, but you know I have a plan tomorrow, right?"

Sienna could see that Zachary looked terrible at the thought of missing the visit.

"Hmm... I remember. It’s okay, honey." She smiled, trying to ease his disappointment. "You can meet them later..."

"Alright..." Zachary finally smiled back, seeming more at ease after hearing her words. He thought about it for a moment before adding, "I’ll pick you up tomorrow and meet your uncle briefly. Is that okay?"

"That’s a great idea."

The thought of Zachary meeting her uncle tomorrow, even if only briefly, made Sienna feel unexpectedly happy. It was a small step, but it meant a lot to her. She wanted the people who mattered to her to know the man she had chosen as her husband, and she also wanted Zachary to become familiar with the small family she had left.

All the way home, their conversation continued naturally as they talked about the next day’s plans. They discussed the present Sienna needed to bring, what time Zachary should arrive, how long she might stay, and a few other important details.

Every now and then, their conversation drifted into lighter topics, and Sienna found herself laughing at some of Zachary’s casual remarks.

The long day had left them both tired, but being together in the quiet car made the exhaustion feel less overwhelming. They continued talking without realizing how much time had passed until they finally arrived home.

Sienna felt tired but satisfied after the long day. The grand opening had been exhausting, from the preparations to dealing with everything that had happened throughout the day, but knowing that everything had gone well made her happy and grateful.

She turned to look at Zachary, feeling a little more relaxed now that they were finally home.

Tomorrow would bring another round of changes, and she knew there would probably be some trouble once the news was released. Still, she didn’t want to spend tonight worrying about things she couldn’t control.

Tonight, she simply wanted to rest, spend some quiet time with her husband and son, and prepare herself to meet her family the next day. More importantly, she was finally ready to tell them about her marriage to Zachary and introduce them to the family she had built for herself.
