Chapter 1465: Chapter 1462: Landed a Punch on His Face
Zi Ruoxi shrugged off twice but failed to break free, the opponent suddenly lunged forward and attempted to hug her from the waist. At this moment, Han Wenxi couldn’t hold back any longer, grabbed the collar of the man’s shirt, "Bang!" and punched him right in the face.
"Owww~" Master Jie howled in pain and hastily let go of Zi Ruoxi, clenched his fist, and began to retaliate against Han Wenxi. The two started an intense exchange of punches, and in no time, several tables in the bar were overturned. However, many people didn’t leave; instead, they gathered around in groups, jeering and whistling, stirring things up. Honestly, it had been a long time since the gay bar had been this lively!
The long-standing peace had stimulated the nerves of the boys, urging them on, the fiercer the fight, the better the thrill! As long as there were no fatalities, they could fight as they pleased. This group of guys, as the pain didn’t affect them, didn’t give a damn! They were enjoying the show for free; not watching would be a waste, and watching didn’t cost them a thing; it stimulated their minds rather.
Eventually, Fei Ge hurried over. Seeing the chaos near the stage in the great hall, his temper flared instantly.
"What’s going on? Everyone stop!" Fei Ge barked angrily and immediately orchestrated the spectators and staff on both sides to intervene and separate the two. Upon looking at them, both had colorful faces; now, they’d have some bruises to show for the next few days. Fei Ge quickly helped Han Wenxi up from the ground.
"Alright, Han Wenxi, you’ve got guts, remember this," Master Jie snarled viciously, then wiped the corner of his lips where blood had pooled with the back of his hand, swept his gaze over Zi Ruoxi’s face threateningly, "And you, stinking girl, not accepting a toast, you’ll eventually pay the penalty. I’ll have you crawling under me sooner or later!" Then, he shouted at the onlookers, "What are you looking at? Never seen a master hook up?"
This downright menace made everyone step aside quickly, allowing Master Jie to leave, flipping over another table on his way out, before vanishing angrily through the door.
Master Jie’s final stance immediately caused Fei Ge to pull a sullen face, his sharp features exuding coldness. This brat really considers himself the Heavenly King? He’s fearless!
Seeing the mess, Fei Ge frowned slightly and ordered the staff to clean up properly. He didn’t say much else nor asked about what happened. Perhaps because these kinds of affairs—jealousy, fights, and brawls—weren’t worth probing.
This made Han Wenxi feel a pang of guilt.
"I’m sorry, Fei Ge, whatever the losses here, put them all on the band," Han Wenxi said, his delicate face bruised, interspersed with shades of green and purple. Blood still oozed from the corner of his mouth.
Beside him, Zi Ruoxi remained silent, her gaze darkened, tightly clenching her small fists, seeming as if her anger hadn’t fully dissipated.
"Handsome Xi, I know it’s not your fault... but..." Fei Ge paused, his sharp eyes flickering over the faces of the two before analyzing, then slyly said, "You know, we run a business here, we seek harmony and profit, guests are always our gods, and everything must be learned to endure..." This kind of untimely advice usually resonated well with Han Wenxi. Generally, there were no objections. But this time...
"Fei Ge, you don’t know what really happened, if you did, you wouldn’t hold back either. That scoundrel attempted to assault Yi Bing, tell me, could I endure that?" Han Wenxi protested indignantly, feeling a pair of gentle hands holding his wrist, conveying a message... Han Wenxi couldn’t help but turn around in surprise, puzzled by the indication she gave him.
Zi Ruoxi sorted out her thoughts, took a step forward, lowering her head like someone burdened with guilt.
"Fei Ge, you’re right, it was my fault this time, I wasn’t prepared mentally and dragged Handsome Xi down with me! So, it’s unfair to put the losses on the whole band; they should fall solely on me... it’s okay, I’ll pay whatever is needed!" Zi Ruoxi said calmly, as if she was just stating a fact, without expressing much emotion.
Fei Ge’s sharp face flickered with a hint of deep meaning, admiring this girl’s loyalty—daring to take responsibility!
"Yi Bing, that can’t be, you’re a member of the band, I’m the captain, if something happens to you, I’m duty-bound, understand?" Han Wenxi refuted her words, his clear eyes showing concern.
"Handsome Xi..." Zi Ruoxi seemed to want to say something more, but Han Wenxi sharply interrupted.
"Don’t say anything further, you’re a band member, I’m the captain, you should listen to me, Understand?" Han Wenxi said sternly, looking towards Fei Ge.
"Stop fighting over it, the losses... I can waive them, but I hope there won’t be a next time, Yi Bing, Handsome Xi, I’m sure you understand my meaning, I won’t say more. That’s it, I have other matters, excuse me." Fei Ge said calmly, his gaze sweeping across their eyes, pausing on Zi Ruoxi’s face, and lightly added, "You play beautifully, keep it up! Haha!" After speaking, he patted Handsome Xi’s elbow, a subtle smile graced his sharp features as he turned away from their sight.
......
Zi Ruoxi looked back at Han Wenxi by her side, feeling waves of emotion. This boy who swung punches for her made her heart race.
In the backstage of the bar, Han Wenxi sat in a chair, Zi Ruoxi sat opposite him, gently using a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean his cheek.
When the alcohol-soaked cotton swab touched his wound, "Ssss!" Han Wenxi couldn’t help but grit his teeth, his face slightly twitching.
"Does it hurt?" Zi Ruoxi asked softly, her hand instinctively suspended in midair.
"Yes," Han Wenxi replied, his bright eyes fixed on Zi Ruoxi, unblinking.
"Then I’ll be gentler," Zi Ruoxi responded, moving her hand slightly again, "Ssss!" Han Wenxi flinched again, though this time it seemed better, less painful.
"Why are you so foolish, knowing you couldn’t win but still fighting..." Zi Ruoxi couldn’t help but criticize.
"Who said I couldn’t win? That guy was just lousy; it wasn’t my price to pay!" Han Wenxi corrected her words instinctively. Just then, Yi Bing seemed so gentle! Her face was so close; how was it possible for her face to be so exquisite! Smooth to the point where no trace could be found. Really wanted to touch, what was that feeling like.
Just as Zi Ruoxi was intently and meticulously applying medicine to him, his hand couldn’t resist drifting towards her delicate and tender cheek...
Suddenly.
Ugh...
His fingertip barely grazed the skin... it was like an electric shock!
