Chapter 59: We are here!

Han remained worried as they continued toward the school, constantly keeping an eye on Zephyr.

But the thing he feared never happened.

Zephyr showed no signs of exhaustion.

Even after using his mana repeatedly while running at such a high speed, his breathing remained steady, and he did not even slow down. By the time they finally reached the school, Han was beginning to wonder if Zephyr’s mana really was inexhaustible.

But... that wasn’t possible, right?

In front of the school building, Han’s two teammates were still fighting desperately against a swarm of massive dark crimson ants that moved at lightning-fast speeds.

Han stopped atop a tall structure opposite the school, his breathing slightly labored as he surveyed the chaotic scene before him.

"We are here!"

A flicker of frustration crossed Han’s face when he saw that no other team had come to reinforce his teammates. He had asked several Espers for help on his way back to find a Guide, but he knew that far too many monsters had poured out of the Dungeon Break this time and were still pouring out.

After all, the Dungeon itself had not been dealt with yet. The monsters surrounding it were simply too powerful and too many in numbers for anyone to risk getting close.

With everyone already stretched thin trying to rescue civilians and kill the monsters, there was simply no one available to help.

Suppressing his frustration, Han glanced at the quiet man who had stopped beside him.

"Zephyr, how about you attack from here? It’s safer. I’m going to help Sara and Felix!"

Without waiting for a response, Han swiftly turned and sprinted toward his teammates.

The number of ant monsters swarming in this area was rapidly increasing! They had to quickly reach the kids hiding inside the school and get them out before it was too late. If the monsters attacked the building, it could collapse, trapping everyone inside.

Zephyr sensed Han’s presence leave as he descended toward the opposite side, where he could sense two more Espers battling against numerous violent and wild auras.

He didn’t move forward, knowing he was standing at the edge of the rooftop after sensing Han skid downward beside him.

He could, of course, descend the structure the same way Han had if he wanted to, but there was no reason to rush headfirst into the chaos below. Unlike other Espers, close quarters combat wasn’t easy for him since he couldn’t see. It was a pity that he hadn’t yet discovered any flying skills among the knowledge left behind by the Gaya System.

If he had a flying skill, everything would have been much more convenient.

Then, suddenly, his ears twitched.

Amidst the loud sounds of battle, Zephyr caught the faint sound of sobbing coming from somewhere a short distance away.

Although he couldn’t sense any auras in that direction, the quiet cries were enough for him to pinpoint the children’s location.

There were nine of them.

Eight were crying, while one of them desperately tried to console the others.

Zephyr’s eyes contracted as he felt a wild aura slowly creeping toward the children.

"A monster!"

Immediately, he shouted toward Han, who had already reached his two teammates.

"The kids are in danger!"

Han glanced toward the handsome figure standing atop the high structure, his heart leaping as he realized what Zephyr meant.

"What?"

Sara, his female teammate, was breathing heavily beside him. After he joined her, the pressure on her eased, even if only slightly.

She pushed back a monster and followed his gaze toward the shout, her exhausted expression brightening with a hint of hope.

Her voice was ragged and strained.

"You brought back help?"

Behind them, Felix, a pale-looking Esper, was desperately holding off a group of massive dark crimson ants. Hearing their conversation, he immediately shouted.

"Tell that guy to get down here and help! What is he doing up there? I can’t hold these ugly things back much longer!"

Han’s body tensed, but he didn’t hide anything from his teammates.

"He can’t see, so he can’t come down, but he can still help us from up there. We just need to get away from these ants. He’s an S-Rank with a powerful telekinesis skill!"

His teammates were dumbfounded.

Still, they trusted Han. If he said that an Esper who couldn’t even see could help them, then there had to be a way, right?

There was just one problem—getting away from the monsters was nearly impossible.

They were surrounded from all directions, and the massive ants were simply too fast to shake off. Han understood this as well.

He had no idea how they were supposed to break free from the swarm, let alone reach a safe distance where Zephyr could use his telekinesis skill to help them. So, he found himself racking his brain for a way to get Zephyr to help them without coming down.

What made Han even more anxious was the fact that Zephyr had just told him the kids were in danger. They needed to hurry!

It was at that moment that the three of them, each consumed by their own anxiety and worries, suddenly saw the supposedly blind Esper standing atop the tall structure take a step forward. Felix’s heart suddenly skipped a beat as he shouted in horror.

"He’s going to fall!!"

Even Han felt his heart drop.

He shouldn’t have left Zephyr alone!

If anything happened to such a powerful S-Rank Esper, the Awakened Association would never let Han off the hook! After all, he was the one who had brought Zephyr here in the first place. If Zephyr ended up getting himself killed, Han was done for!

But what happened next left all three of them staring with their jaws hanging open.

As Zephyr took a step forward.

He didn’t fall. Nor did he slide down the rubble to descend like Han had earlier.

Instead, the moment his foot left the edge, the rubble beneath him suddenly rose into the air. Broken chunks of concrete, stones, and debris began floating before arranging themselves into a path beneath his feet.

With every step he took, another piece of stone lifted into the air just in time to catch his foot, while the pieces behind him drifted away. Step by step, slowly, Zephyr made his way away from the towering structure. He was hesitant at first, almost as if he were testing the stability beneath his feet. But soon, his pace increased, and he began running as naturally as if he were on solid ground rather than moving through the air!

However, he wasn’t coming toward them.

He was heading toward the school!

What the hell?

Telekinesis skill could be used like this too?!

He was practically flying!
