Chapter 594 - 593: Who Are You Truly?
The Chaos Blade.
The Chaos Flames.
And the Chaos Wraps.
These were questions Simon expected since they were truly strange and any curious demon or demoness would be curious about them.
Simon looked at Akaza and Sonya with a strange light in his eyes, and after a few seconds, he answered.
"I can’t tell you what those things are. They are my unique weapons and trump cards. I’m sure you can understand what I mean by this."
The brows of Akaza and Sonya were furrowed slightly after hearing Simon’s response.
They already guessed as much that the Chaos Wraps and Chaos Blade were important weapons to Simon, and the Chaos Flames was most likely an important ability.
It was not strange to them that Simon refused to tell them about his trump cards, but they were dissatisfied.
Why?
Because Simon had actually not fully answered any of their questions and their curiosity was still not satisfied.
He didn’t tell them much about Lilith, and he refused to tell them about the Herald’s corpse.
And now, he refused to tell them what the Chaos Blade, Chaos Flames, and Chaos Wraps were.
They could not help but wonder what exactly Simon planned on telling them.
Sonya looked at Simon with a slight furrow of her brows.
"You know that you’ve actually not answered any of our questions, right?"
Simon looked at her with a slight raise of his brow.
"And I can’t remember promising you that I’ll answer all your questions."
"I remember telling you guys that I’ll answer what I can, not all your questions."
Sonya’s smile widened slightly and became colder.
"Because of everything that happened and how weak you currently are, I forgot just how sleek you are with your words."
Simon chuckled softly, but he didn’t say anything in response to her words.
The room became silent for some seconds, then Sonya spoke.
"Blackmoon."
Simon immediately raised a brow at Sonya. This was the first time she was calling him by his real name.
She always called him little kitty, and Simon knew that she was being serious right now.
"Who are you truly?" Sonya asked with a serious tone, and even Akaza’s expression became unconsciously solemn.
They both looked at Simon, and from their faces, Simon knew that there would be problems if he brushed her question aside.
Simon remained silent for some seconds, then his lips parted open and he began to speak.
"I am nobody special actually. My name is Blackmoon just like you know. I was born in a backwater tribe of the Wildlands, the Duskfang Tribe."
Sonya and Akaza’s expression changed slightly at Simon’s words.
They had not expected Simon to be from a tribe, and worst of all, a backwater tribe of the Wildlands.
They knew that Simon could be lying, but he sounded genuine and they also believed that if Simon wanted to lie, saying that he was from a backwater tribe in the Wildlands was a little bit excessive.
Simon continued.
"A few days before the awakening of my demonic heart, a Daegrin came to my tribe to sell some things and well... I stole something from him."
The eyes of Akaza and Sonya widened in disbelief.
They didn’t know how powerful the Daegrin was, but for Simon who had not yet awakened his demonic heart to attempt to steal from a Daegrin was beyond bold.
Simon chuckled softly when he saw their expressions.
"As you can guess, I was caught by the Daegrin, and eventually, I was taken from the Daegrin by one of the Grave Lords. That is how I became a slave of the Shadowgrave Clan."
Akaza and Sonya’s eyes widened slightly in surprise and intrigue.
Many demons in the clan had been wondering how Simon became a slave of the clan and what his backstory was, and now they knew.
They could also guess why Simon was able to get away with some of the things he did in the academy.
If a Grave Lord was the one that brought him to the clan as a slave, that essentially made him the slave of the Grave Lord.
And a Grave Lord’s authority was one of the highest authorities of the Shadowgrave Clan.
This was what they believed.
Simon had no idea what was going through their minds, and even if he did, he would not bother to correct them.
He continued speaking.
"Oh, and the reason why I rarely trust people is because my mother was the main reason why I was caught by the Daegrin. She betrayed me and sold me to him."
This time around, Akaza and Sonya’s eyes widened in shock.
"Damn. You’ve had it rough, little kitty."
Simon looked at Sonya who walked up to him and began patting his head.
His lips could not help but twitch.
"I see. No wonder you’re so cold and an unpleasant fellow. Everything makes sense now."
Simon gave Akaza a gaze that was not threatening but was at the same time threatening.
Akaza walked up to him and patted his shoulder.
"Don’t worry. I’ll reduce the number of curses I send to you in my mind from a hundred to a dozen."
Simon tilted his head and gave Akaza a gaze that said- "Really?"
Akaza smiled.
Then Sonya spoke.
"But that doesn’t explain why you’re so powerful and talented. You’re a hybrid. A one-horned demon and demon cat. You should not be this strong, talented, and terrifying."
Akaza’s eyes brightened in realization and he nodded. He was nearly carried away by Simon’s sad story of his mother betraying him.
"Yes. She’s right. Why are you so powerful for your age and level?"
Simon looked at Akaza, then he looked at Sonya with slightly raised brows and a baffled expression.
"Isn’t it obvious?"
They both frowned.
"What is?" Sonya asked.
Simon shook his head slightly.
"Isn’t it because of the being in me that I’m so powerful? What other reason could there be? She’s what changed my life and my destiny, and I’m grateful to her."
